Never going here again

Never going here again, my parents paid around 1000 dollars for our tickets so we could ride the rides, but it did not end up so well, after we rode 2 rides, we got on one more, but that one closed mid way and we had to get off early, and then we went to a river ride, but right when we were about to get there, it broke down and we had to leave the line, and then our quick pass didn't work on a water boat ride because it was not the right one, which is stupid because sea world didn't say we needed a different quick pass for those rides, so we waited in the main line, and it kept breaking down, and coming back up, and people were stuck when they were on the ride in the sun, and after 2 hours of waiting, we have to leave that ride because it was "broken". Once we got out, ONLY ONE RIDE IN THE ENTIRE PARK WAS OPEN, I KID YOU NOT. We went to go complain, and guess what, they treated us like idiots, they kept saying the rides worked all day, which was bullshit, and even some of the workers were laughing at us when we complained. And sadly, a father and daughter were next to us also doing the same thing, and the father took her daughter to san atonio sea world ALL THE WAY FROM KANSAS. They kept saying it was too "windy" but i didn't feel a damn thing. SO WE GOT SCAMMED 1000 DOLLARS CAUSE OF THE DAM IDIOTS WHO WORK THERE. If they had to close most of the rides down, they should have just closed the park for that day if it was "too windy". Might seem like a friendly theme park who "cares" for their animals and their guests, but no, they could give a dam about us and the animals, they just care about their money.

Great and fun animal shows

Great and fun animal shows, cool roller coasters and rides, and fun Christmas events for kids and adults year-round. The Christmas events are excellent, with extraordinary real Christmas music, dynamic light shows, and fun ice skating presentations.

Terrible that animals are treated like this. How can you look at this as human. You have to have no humanity left to accept that a (animal) child is seprated from their mother and family and find that entertaining! Emberassing!

Very disappointed with SeaWorld Orlando…

Very disappointed with SeaWorld Orlando services. I ordered 3 months in advance the Dinner with Orcas lunch package. I have an autist grandson and he is crazy about sea animals. He was more excited with this experience than with the park itself. We travelled from South America so he could be close to this giant animals.
When the scheduled time arrived (12:30) we approached the place. It was completely abandoned, no one inside, no sign. When talked to a Sea World employee, he had no idea what happened. Called someone and we were told it was canceled. No information, cost refund or not even a sign informing it. I was told I need to go to guest service to request the refund. More than 40 minutes waiting on a queue. Family totally disappointed and I still had to loose time waiting on a queue because their totally lack of respect with customer. Very sad experience! My grandson very disappointed!

Rude unprofessional staff!!!

I visited SeaWorld today with my family, 1 hour into being there I went to a rollercoaster called Maka. I had a staff member chase after me in the queue to say I had to put my bag in the locker or I can’t ride. I explained to him I need my bag which he rudely interrupted me and said I can’t ride and he’ll take me upto his manager. I said that is fine, in the lift upto the rollercoaster floor where his manager was he then goes away then comes back and says my manager will be with you in 10 minutes, after waiting 20 minutes no manager came to me so I decided to try find a locker as my children had joined the queue for the ride. At the locker I see another member of staff which I explained I need my bag as it contains medical belongings to which he advised I can keep my bag with me. When I get back to the ride the manager and her colleagues are all discussing and pointing at me laughing. When I get on the ride I was approached by another member of staff called Andy who told me to watch my attitude. Anyway I ignore it as I wanted my children to enjoy the day and proceed to ride. When the ride had finished Andy approached me again to say I cannot come back to the ride again. At this point my blood is boiling so I go to Guest services to express my concerns. Not very helpful & advised me staff from Moka had called to say I was being aggressive. The manager from guest services gave me a fast track pass to go back to the ride which we did. Then after another ride we was followed by another staff member. 5 minutes later security approached us to asked what had happened, which I explained and asked them to check cctv. They didn’t do this but agreed the staff was right and escorted me and my family out the park. I’ve took recordings and photographs and will be taking this further. I feel imitated and harassed. What an experience after travelling so far to the USA! Avoid at all costs!

Just returned to the UK 28th October…

Just returned to the UK 28th October 2024, spending 31 days in Orlando. Sea World after all the video's about treatment of their animal's declined, but now appearing to be concentrating on roller coasters and rides. Pipeline coater is I think the best. BUT ONE CONCERN IS THEY HAVE GONE CASHLESS YOU HAVE TO USE A CREDIT CARD OR BANK CARD. THEY THEN ADD 5% TO ANY PAYMENT YOU MAKE FOR USING A CARD. You could not make it up.

My hubby and I went on SeaWorld cruise for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!! Lovely buffet lunch and met 2 lovely ladies from England ❤️

Our cruise captain Steve was really lovely to talk to , Tessa one of the staff was delightful, everything was perfect.

Stayed overnight and went to Japanese restaurant and was served by Mary who was very nice, friendly and very informative and thorough.

Had beautiful breakfast .

"Service" is NON exsistent - Save you $$ go to any other themepark

Like many other reviews on here, I visited the park on the 26th of September.
Yes it was known that a hurricane was going to have weather impacts on Orlando. Yes SeaWorld still chose to open the park this day. Yes SeaWorld chose not to give any warning that they might need to close. Yes SeaWorld refused to be flexible with their dining package requirements. Yes the park had to close due to weather. Yes I understand and respect this – yes I want to be safe.
I live internationally and I am not able to return to the park on another date.
NO I am NOT seeking a refund for my park ticket, Yes SeaWorld cannot control the weather, Yes I would prefer to be safe. NO I am not willing to pay for a dining package that was NEVER used, that was UNABLE to be used (because the park was closed).
Guest "services" is horrendous to deal with. Upon exiting the park, we were VERY CLEARLY advised, that a refund for the dining wouldn't be an issue, because we are unable to return.
Well.. It's been several weeks, there has been several emails. There has been a VERY lengthy and expensive INTERNATIONAL phone call - all of which have resulted in no compensation & no referral to a complaints line or management. Flat out refused to provide details for a Customer Service Manager (phone or email), refused to transfer my call and refused to advise of how to pursue this further.
I’ve not even mentioned, nor am I complaining about the fact that even during our short two hour visit, the park rides were mostly closed (I think only one was open), the shows that were listed on the app were not running and the park was like a ghost town. All I am requesting, is a refund for the dining package that we were prohibited from using.
Side note- never buy the dining package, as water isn’t included and costs a FORTUNE to purchase, in addition to everything else.
SeaWorld is a joke, don’t bother. Go to every and any other theme park in Orlando.

Visiting during Halloween

We visited on September 30th and they had a Halloween celebration in Sea World. There were employees dressed as monsters that kept up pestering us at some of the park areas. This was very annoying as they came too close to us and kept yelling and hovering, making us feel very uncomfortable.
We are an old couple and it was not easy evading them.

Visited 26th of September.

Visited 26th of September.
Yes there was a hurricane that day , but seaworld was open as normal ( or so we thought) we decided to brave it and not waste our holiday .
It was very quiet ,a ghost town really .
we soon realised only Manta was working. The staff kept saying they couldn’t open rides as it’s unsafe due to the hurricane, But it’s apparently ok to let visits ride manta ?? and still testing the penguin ride but it was never to open that day .
The app said queue times was 5 minutes but then wasn’t open .one staff member confirmed they were short staffed .
At 2pm another shop worker told us sea world was closing and we can get a refund.
To be forced out of customer service and given a card with a number on to call and claim our refund .
we flew home on the 28th so wasn’t intending to attempt again.
We are now fighting with seaworld as they are refusing to refund us as we still went to the park.
We paid over $300 to walked round the shops and see a seal .
Will not be returning to this robbing park ! staff are rude . avoid!!
Soon to take your money and never put anything in writing, very sneaky !

Family of 5 and 1 child smaller than 54…

Family of 5 and 1 child smaller than 54 inches. She couldn’t go in most of the rides so we asked for parents swap 3 times one of the staff told us to get a ticket, when trying to get the supposed ticket we were told there was not such a thing and that we had to go back to the beginning of the queue. As a result we could not enjoy some rides . Not sufficient we got stuck in a ride and were delayed to pick up our bags from the locker when we met a relly grumpy employee called Evans who said I will let you ( my husband) out of courtesy go, and you lot have to stay here.
While standing there I copped a barrage of abuse from this Evans person. That we were not supposed to be there, etc. when I said you could be more polite I was threat with security and then police ( as his own words “the police works for us”). On my kids life that was out of the blue… I said you could ask if we need help instead of blocking us from getting our backpack… he turned and said I don’t have to do anything the park is close. And I could call security right now and have you thrown out. Literally.
I am appalled with this park.
I spent my childhood in Florida and OMG never seen something like it!

Scam and poor experience

One star for the coasters and one for the wait times. The only reason this park isn't bankrupt yet is because they try to scam you with their overpriced food and the lockers. You have to BUY a locker for 3 dollars per 2 hours or 12 dollars for a day (you still have to pay extra to get it out if you leave it closed for over 2 hour). Also the drinking fountains weren't working on a HOT day.

One of the staff members at 13:30 at the sesame street toilets at the 10th of September was really rude towards my boyfriend because he was waiting for me outside the restrooms, instead of asking nicely to wait somewhere else, she was really rude and onprofessional. We didn't had the energy to go to guest service to mention this. So i'll leave this here, tho i don't think they even care.

At least I can inform the rest of you that are in doubt wether to go here or not.

Water bottle fillers are desperately needed

They should provide water bottle fillers throughout the park. Seaworld constantly talks about saving the planet, but they expect people to buy bottled water or use their paper water cups. POV - you are literally at a water park, but can’t find water.

Plan your day in advance. Choose your day on the website and look at the schedule for that day - it changes daily. A lot of shows are all over the park at specific times and you will be running all over the place if you don’t plan it in advance. Use the map. Have a Plan A and Plan B, in case of weather delay.
Buy your tickets online. It’s actually best to plan for two days so you can do half of the park one day and half of it and another day. There are packages you can buy if you get Discovery Cove you can add on multiple days at SeaWorld and Aquatica for the days surrounding your Discovery Cove visit. That’s what we did and it worked really well. Or you can buy a single day to Seaworld and when you get in, you can add on a season pass for around $30 so then you can come back as many times as you want.

We brought a backpack with bottled water and our favorite healthy snacks. There are plenty of food options at SeaWorld. We do a half-and-half situation - bring a couple snacks and fast food throughout the park. A lot of the food places do not serve water cups at SeaWorld so it’s good to bring bottled water and refill it if you can find water. There are no water bottle fillers. You must stand in a retailer line or food stand line to get water, so plan in advance so to stay hydrated. At the entrance they checked our bags for explosives and firearms. My food and water were under other supplies and weren’t noted.

Since we had multi day tickets, we started our day when it was comfortable for us, no stress in getting there early. We had a Plan A to get to our first show by 11am. We arrived by Uber at 10:30 and made it through the gates and to the Seal and Otter Stadium by 10:45.

When we arrived today, it was around 10:30 AM and there were a lot of people in line to buy tickets at the ticket booth and also at the electronic ticket station. It looked hot and miserable to stand in line and buy tickets when they could just buy tickets on their phone or from home before they arrived. I bet they were paying full price too. There are deals online. Our tickets are on our phone and we just walked right up to the entrance and then quickly through the ticket scanners. There were several short lines that moved quickly.

Bring: Sunscreen, small towel, ponchos, extra charger for phone, bandaids, printed map, Plan A and Plan B schedules. I also took photos of my plans. The SeaWorld app has a wonky map that helps by showing your current location.

SeaWorld area hotels will give you a water resistant map at their activities desk. You don’t have to be a guest to get the map in advance of your visit.

When we were First Timers, we paid in advance for the meal plan at the restaurants - it was a disaster. Long slow lines - literally over an hour wait. Do not do the meal plan. Instead pay the high prices for snacks, pizza, hot dogs, at the fast food stands. The lines are a million times shorter than the meal plan lines.

By planning in advance we saw so much more than when we were first timers. Sea Lions, seals, otters, penguins, manatee, sea turtles, walrus, beluga whales, sharks. Seems like our first time, we only saw dolphins, stingrays, and orcas. Definitely plan in advance. The parade is not worth planning your day around - it is cute, but quick. The Cirque shows are wonderful and about 20 minutes long. Ride lines are an hour long.

Over priced and bad

Over priced, they also closed all the atractions because of a 15 minute rain at 15:00 on 22/07/24 for more than 3 hours even after the rain and a fine enough weather. The food in all dining day average to minus and bad service.

Of course there is no compensation from the company I spent more than USD505 to ride 3 roller coasters, see some fish, dolphins and some orcas, queues very long mainly for Manta roller coaster and water falls (the attraction closed because of the rain and didnt open again before we enter). For a family that lives in Florida and with annual passes, maybe this is business as usual, but for me and my family, coming from Ireland and spending a lot of money to be there, the worst park we ever went. Terrible waste of time and money!!!

Maybe was better to go to Seaquarium in Miami.

HEARTLESS ANIMAL ABUSERS

HEARTLESS ANIMAL ABUSERS
I wonder how they sleep at night. Don’t go here, don’t support the terrible abuse etc. There’s way more about this place that you don’t know yet. The documentary Blackfish on Netflix gives a good picture of what these barbarians do and have done.

My family was discriminated because of weight or being Native American

My family are gold members to the Orlando park. We have had a great time for years going there until we started take my son to the Sesame Street part of that park the last 2 times we gone there. May 30 2024 and June 29 2034. My sister has been discriminated twice trying to join with her family in a ride. My sister a little heavy but not crazy big. Come on she has road rides in Legoland. First time she was walked out when she was getting into a ride . Few minutes they had lady come into the same ride bigger then her? We did not make an issue because wanted family to be happy. Today it almost happened again in the same area ion a different ride. We were ready for it. Foot down. We are also Native American Sioux. Hmm? Of all areas . The kids area. Shame. My boy does not need to watch this. My sister and son was weirded out about what happened both times. The employees needs to learn ethics. Shame on Seaworld Orlando.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience! My family came to sea world as one of our park choices on vacation. Big mistake. The parking was $32 and the parking lot was the wild west, no lot attendants just frantic people jockeying for any spot close (almost resulting in a fender bender in the lot) Then getting into the park was ridiculously disorganized. We bought a dining pass but after getting in we realized there was almost no where that accepted it, and the handful that did resulted in a 3-4 hour wait for food. There were constant bottlenecks in the park where paths to exits were rerouted or just plain blocked off. There was no clear direction or flow in the park whatsoever ever, and resulted in us not seeing really much of anything. The most aquatic life we saw was a minnow while we stood on the bridge trying desperately to find a way out of this abomination of a tourist trap. To top it off there were very strange guys in the men's bathroom near sesame street land in the park. It made me and my son very uncomfortable, and forced us to brave the dense crowds to find an alternate bathroom. I alerted a park attendant of this, but they pretty much shrugged their shoulders and moved on. It seems this park is coasting on the popularity of its successful name from the past with little concern to its customers. It felt like one big cash grab. We left after 2 hours (it took an hour just to get into the park) If you have a family on a budget take my advice, save your money and skip sea world.
