The website is real

The website is real, but they're dishonest and cheating. They advertise an open box but don't hesitate to send you faulty items or an empty box. They operate like an auction; you buy without knowing what they'll send you. They don't deserve more than nothing, but I have to give them one star because there is no less then 1 star

Do not buy from them

Purchased a children’s item a while back. The box was intact so I had no reason to open it. Finally gave it to child and the contents completely damaged and soiled. Called customer service and since outside the 30 day return policy they did nothing. Do not recommend this company and will never purchase anything with them again.

They sold me a Stanley lunch bag for…

They sold me a Stanley lunch bag for $45 and it came to me dipped and stained in oil. They sold me 45 pieces of silverware for $47 and on arrival only 10 pieces were there. They tell you to return the items. Each item is mailed individually with excess boxes and filling, environmently unconscious. I've had dented wooden side tables mailed to me after paying $70 because the packaging wasn't effective. There are 2 middle aged hosts that are trying to be sexy famous narcissists. One host disrespected my name during a live show, making fun of me in a shameful way. I spent thousands of dollars hours days watching their shows until they finally blocked me because they keep sending me crap items for lots of money and I expressed my disappointment. It's almost a cult type of community. Stay away.

Refurbishing enough to get the product out of warranty

Sold a refurbished Sony NW-A306 which worked -just- long enough to get out of warranty before irrecoverably bricking. Got the classic out-of-warranty middle finger with no explanation for why a "perfectly refurbished" product would die not long after a 90-day warranty expiration. Don't waste your time or money on this dogshit. Now out $275 on a paperweight by the tech equivalent of a sleazy used car salesman.

Wish I could give them a minus 5 star

Wish I could give them a minus 5 star. Buyers beware. They sell inferior products in my opinion. Won’t ever get anymore of my money. Hope you keep yours. Wish I had checked them out before purchase through Amazon.

This company is absolute trash

This company is absolute trash. They do live selling through an app called Whatnot and hire people to go through and sell their products to a live audience. I bought a couple of items over the past few weeks (some came as described, some not). One of the live sellers had an incredibly offensive, very political background on his wall during the show. I was surprised to see that and reached out to Secondipity to understand if they knew that happened or if they supported it. I logged back in a couple of hours later and was blocked completely, which actually indirectly clears that query up. Very poor impression of this business, and I couldn’t recommend it any LESS. Buy with caution, or don’t buy at all.

Don’t ever

This has honestly been one of the worst shopping experiences I’ve EVER had. I don’t leave negative reviews, but this company is absolute trash. Poor customer service, and fraudulent advertising once I called them out for receiving a model that was not what was advertised. When I received the cheaper, less expensive model than what was advertised (and what I assumed to be purchasing) - all I got was “thank you, we’re working on updating the post. You can send in for return, we don’t have the model you want.” Ridiculous that we can falsely advertise and yet offer zero solutions for their scam. Never again.

I’m apparently supposed to waste my time receiving and returning the wrong model because they scammed me into getting it in the first place. Tf?

A money saver

Have ordered a lot from here. I would say about 10% of the items that arrived had issues. The return process was easy. With the tools check the batteries right away or get the tool only version. With the tools, the batteries are almost always the issue. The little bit of hassle is worth the savings to me.

Ordered 4 times then blocked

Made 4 purchases. One of the cordless tools that I purchased open box did not work at all. Once I opened the return the owner of secondipity blocked my access to there site. Not sure If I will ever receive a refund or why I was blocked. They are knowingly reselling products that are faulty and then charge you extra money to exchange for a working item. When you ask for a refund they will block you from site. STAY AWAY! Scam!!!!!

Passive Aggressive!

Some people make better eBay employees and need to be micromanaged. Secondipity is one of them and should never be in business for themselves!

Received 10 defective bar carts. Order number 160225. I returned all 10 and Secondipity had no recollection of receiving the bar carts and double billed me for $204 and some change. Thank goodness that I kept my order number and UPS Receipts. They issued me a refund on October 28, 2024.

I had ordered a replacement of 10 bar carts because I was clueless that this company ordered open box items from corporations and never bother to check the contents inside the box. Now you would think that if secondipity had 10 bar carts returned back to them and had to pay for return shipping labels that they would double check the replacement order. Nope !

Secondipity believes that it is more cost effective to receive negative publicity on Social Media than to hire someone to check the contents of each package.

Out of the 10 replacement bar carts, 7 of them were defective. I’m back to purchasing tape, driving to FedEx to purchase shipping labels at 0.23 cents each and driving to UPS to drop off the seven large boxes.

Secondipity used 3 shipping labels to ship out 10 bar carts in three extra large boxes and issued me one shipping label for 91 pounds to ship back 7 bar carts.

Once again, Secondipity had no recollection of receiving order WAR (!) 160225. They did issue me a refund for $143 and some change after I read off my UPS tracking numbers to them.

You would think that this ordeal would be over, right? Nope. October 31, 2024, I received an email from Secondipity issuing me a reminder to return 10 bar carts from order WAR! 160225.

I contacted Secondipity and told the customer service agent that if Secondipity didn’t stop harassing me that I would file a formal complaint with the better business bureau. I was told that the email that I received to return 10 bar carts from order WAR 160225 was computer generated. I asked for the customer service agent to check her records. I was informed that It was not a computer generated email and that I would have been charged $204 for the third time. She went on to say that they had an extra shipping label for 91 pounds that was not returned .,,blah, blah, blah.

Question? How am I supposed to return 7 large boxes with one ship label ? The customer service agents response was that she did not know.

For the couple of bucks that you will be saving by ordering an open box product from secondipity is sooo not worth it. This is a very sloppy company!

Just no

Just no, it's not worth it. Ordered an open box wagon for my daughter and when I received it there were a bunch of parts missing, essentially making it unusable. My husband and I have bought open box items before from other companies and have had no issues, no missing parts etc. I understand re-selling an open-box item that still has all the parts etc. but what is the point of reselling an item if it is unusable?

Cuisineart toaster/oven/air…

I ordered a Cuisineart toaster/oven/air fryer/grill that I'd seen highly-reviewed, and was selling for about $150 at various places. Secondipity had one in an open box, may be dented, etc. I ordered it from Serendipity's website for less than $60. Shipping was free. They sent the receipt and text updates on the shipping and it came in less than a week. I just opened the box -- it's an open box, but just barely. All the original packing materials are with the appliance and hadn't been disturbed. There is a small dent on the top of the oven, but I had to look for it.
I can't say anything negative about my experience. If the oven doesn't work, I don't think it's their fault.

Bad customer service

I ordered a baby item 2 months ago and just now opened it because the baby will arrive soon. Upon opening, I discovered it does not work but their customer service has not been helpful at all. They don’t care that the item doesn’t work and will not bend their inflexible return policy even though it’s their fault that they shipped out a faulty item.

...qa

I had to return two products because UPS wouldn't deliver them because they were damaged. I reordered a second one because it was damaged in the front and started burning when plugged up. I had to carry heavy items back to the UPS for returns. Ordered items that were missing parts. They will say that something is new, but it is a return that hasn't been checked or CRC salvaged. When they are supposed to check it. It's not UPS; they are shipping them damaged. I had an item that was delivered in two boxes, but it looked like someone threw it at the tree. Another item was dented where it could not have been the ups fault. I had orders cancelled a few times because out of stock. I read how buyers had okay experiences. I wish I was one of them, but everything I got was damaged and dirty. Maybe just bad luck. Nothing was sealed, but it was sold as new. The date for a few years.

Ordered first and last time

Ordered first and last time! Ordered a tower fan 36 inch. It arrived but with a plastic piece 3 inch x 2 inch broken at the top left of the fan. I sent the pictures as well. They asked me to mail it back out of my own pocket. Its a $21 fan. It will cost me same or more amount to ship it back. So they lose my business. But there are new unsuspecting customers. Some items that are trash bound, these guys are profitting by selling them 😪

Flawless and impressive experience…

I was looking for car seats and booster seats and Secondipity popped up with great prices for each. I really didn’t research the site like usual when it’s a new place to buy for me. I purchased both a booster car seat and growing car seat and received both within 8 days of ordering. One came in original box, the other standard box with padding. They were both new in perfect condition. I see some buyers have had negative experience but mine was flawless and impressive. Customer service was easily accessible and helpful. Great job Secondipity!!

I ordered a Nespresso Vertuo Pop+…

I ordered a Nespresso Vertuo Pop+ machine, which is supposed to come with everything with sample pods. I got a dirty machine with pods already used in the collection bin. The machine was as dirty as it could be. The price was okay, and they said they would thoroughly check the machine, not expecting a dirty machine with all the used up pods with the machine. I don't recommend this company.
