Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the website, encountering issues like error codes and a general feeling of sketchiness. Customers frequently report problems with the pricing structure, finding the site extremely expensive due to the credit system required for every interaction. Additionally, the payment process itself was a source of frustration, with unexpected charges and difficulties purchasing credits. Reviewers also expressed significant dissatisfaction with the response time from the company, often receiving no replies to their inquiries. However, some customers also noted that they had met genuine individuals through the site and believed some profiles were real. A few other people also felt that the site still had genuine members, and some had even made good connections, though they acknowledged that the percentage of real profiles seemed to be decreasing.

SB ... shadow bans, fake profiles, rage bans accounts

SB has fake profiles of women. They use these profiles to appear to have a larger user base then they have. They automate the operation of these fake accounts to send messages (very generic) to encourage men to buy credits. This is why you will not get a response from those fake accounts. I would estimate 40% to 60% of the female accounts are fake. SB will also shadow ban without indication. SB will also not respond to inquiries. Of those that are real women on the site, a good portion tend to be low quality and have drug, homeless, criminal priors, etc.

They deleted my account and removed it after I sent them 4 messages with no response. The fifth message I informed them I filed an FTC complaint for defrauding the public based on shadow bans and fake profiles. Of course I even indicated to SB that I predict they would delete my account as a emotional reaction and they did not fail to exhibit such behavior. I would encourage others to file formal complaints as well.

Fake accounts, AI and losing your money

I’ve been using this site for about a month so far and it hasn’t impressed me at all. Firstly, it is full of fake profiles as the vast majority of reviewers have stated. Most of these fake profiles are very easy to spot, they are very brief in their description of themselves and what they are looking for. They have one or two pictures and most of those have been altered (filtered or enhanced). Even the profiles that appear to be genuine I find suspicious. For instance, since joining the site I have yet to initiate a conversation with anyone. All the conversations have been started by a female contacting me and I’m nothing special, just a typical middle aged male that’s kept in shape. To send a message will cost you 10 tokens but to reply to a message sent to you will also cost 10 tokens. Thankfully once the conversation has begun you don’t have to part with anymore tokens. However, all of the conversations I have had have been as little as responding to the initial message to me (always having a question at the end of my reply to keep things moving) to a lengthy back and forth with positive responses. This however strangely seems to always end as soon as a meetup is being organised. It’s agreed we will meet and then as soon as details for the meeting are requested or provided, the woman that messaged me to begin with, suddenly doesn’t reply to my last response. Nothing has been said to prompt this, it just oddly seems to happen every time. Then the next message comes in, you pay your ten tokens to read and respond (if you wish to) and it’s just all ‘rinse and repeat’. Nothing eventuates but you keep spending your tokens thinking eventually, someone that has shown interest in you may go on to meet up with you. I’ve bought my 4th and final lot of tokens, costing me about AU$186 each time (this depends on the amount you buy at a time, a sliding scale for increased tokens for the bigger amount you part with. If you choose to join up, keep a few things in mind:
Profiles with very basic or very little content will be fake.
Don’t even bother with unverified profiles as there’s no doubting that they’re fake.
Look out for common words used like, ‘mentor’ ‘queen’ and ‘treat’ (treat me) as these appear in most of the suspicious profiles.
For me, the fact that I haven’t initiated a single message to a female on this site but have still managed to part with hundreds of dollars speaks volumes. Be smart, beware and good luck.

Scam

Scam! They send automated messages from fake profiles. I received over 25 messages, replied to 10 (verified, some with Top Admirer) yet none of them responded. One, saying were located same town as me (Australia), had selfie taken inside car clearly showing steering wheel on opposite side expected!

Today I found a charge for $169.00 from…

Today I found a charge for $169.00 from secretbenefits (shows up as SEGPAY from the EU). I did not make a purchase or agree to pay for !@#% from this site. I'd had a profile there at one time, but it has actually been turned off for quite a while, so this sudden attempt to rip me off was a real shock from this 'allegedly reputable' site.

So, warning to users (especially men)...beware of this secret non-benefit fraud of slipping a sudden charge on you. I've reported it to my bank as fraudulent, and contacted SB as well to report it. Hopefully they'll do the right thing and reverse it!! I guess this is their Halloween Trick... :(

These site is a scam with fake profiles and fake messages

Unfortunately these guys are scammers! They send automated messages from profiles and reports are the profiles are fake too. I had over 50 messages all from different profiles. I contacted each and every one of them and none of them responded. You can't trust anything that is sent to you on this site. Head over the seeking.com where all the messages are from genuine people..

Not really a difference...

So, I gave this site a try too and I don't really see a difference with this and sugardaddy.ca.. Both layouts are the same except for the colour being pink! Anyway It's basically the same as other sites where SD's have a low incomes to provide for their SB. I feel like most of them are their to find real girlfriends or hookups and not a sugar relationship which is like what is the point of going on the site when tinder, bumble and other dating sites/apps exist! I currently have a SD right now but our arrangement is mostly online because of his work schedule. He is nice but tries way too hard when it comes to sexting and has this weird of obsession with purity that it's really cringe. My first pay was only $40 and I was told that he will pay me more when he makes more money from his job and I just question why I even decided to pick him out of everyone else on that site but it's not like every other SD profile is real anyway.. Again if you aren't financially stable then you shouldn't be going on sugar sites in the first place! You're just putting yourself in a tight spot and getting upset when most SB's are doing it for the money which is literally the whole point! Most SB's are in college and need the tuition fees along with other fees to be paid off in one go, so you can't really be upset about that since in the end you're getting the intimacy in return anyway....

also I wish there was an option to put in our desired income...

The site is filled with fake female…

The site is filled with fake female profiles. This is by design. SB sends messages to male users from these profiles to entice and cause you to procure tokens to read. SB also shadow bans primarily male accounts but still allows you to buy credits. There is no screening process for women. Many are prostitutes, have arrest records, alcohol and drug issues. Many are OnlyFans women trying to gain more followers. SB locks down tight on the male profiles yet it's a free-for-all for the female profiles. The women bring the men but the men bring the money. SB needs to allow organic growth not tossing these fake profiles out there

Just fake profiles

I used Secret benefits a few years ago but it is so different now, and made a few good connections but impossible now, but its very clear now its a majority of fake profiles, so you will spend alot of money to find the odd real person. Genuine experience Seeking is the best, lots of scammers on there but they are easy to spot. Met plenty of attractive women on there. Obviously like all dating sites you have to put yourself out there and send plenty of messages.
I guess the membership is expensive but its a one off payment, no credit b.s. I think we know almost all dating sites of any kind are ruined.
And sugardaddy.com is just the same

Good, with advice.

I’ve been using this site for several years. In the past, I had good success and met genuine people, but in recent times it’s become harder, with more fake or inactive profiles. That said, I still believe it can work if used carefully. After raising concerns, the admin team refunded the tokens I’d lost — a fair and appreciated gesture that gives me confidence to keep going here.

My advice for new and existing members:

1. Be patient — spending money doesn’t guarantee instant results. Some expect a flood of replies after buying tokens, but this isn’t how it works.

2. Stick to verified profiles — I’ve never had a reply from unverified ones in all my years here.

3. Read the profile carefully — short, vague profiles are often fake. Watch out for unusual terminology like “down”, “worthy”, or “fun” — phrases rarely used by genuine UK members.

4. Check the verification video — look for lip-sync issues, strange pauses, or voices that don’t match the person. Scan the background for clues — many “UK” profiles have EU plugs or foreign settings.

5. Notice patterns — oddly, a lot of fake-looking profiles feature the exact same grey, Chesterfield-style bed board, which could point to AI templates or agency setups.

6. Avoid putting contact details in your first message — scammers often take conversations straight to WhatsApp, then push to sell images or videos.

7. Recognise scam scripts — many follow the same sob story, asking for £20–£30 to “fix a fridge,” “save frozen food,” or “buy medicine for a child.” Whether genuine or not, the repetition is a red flag.

8. Test for engagement — send simple, friendly openers, or even offer help to suspected fakes. If you never get a response, they’re almost certainly not real.

9. Understand the ratio — there are far more men than women here, so ultimately it’s the women’s choice who they speak to. Having money doesn’t mean instant interest — it’s still a dating game, just with added benefits.

10. Report suspicious accounts — whether you’re a man or woman, protect other members by flagging scammers and fake profiles.

A note to management:
The site is in a competitive space — in the UK there are at least two bigger players who charge more but moderate better. Where you sit in the market now isn’t ideal, and allowing too many scammers could be the downfall. I understand it’s hard to police everyone, but listening to user reports and removing confirmed fakes quickly would help massively. Age verification for both parties (with government ID) could deter many scammers outright.

Final thoughts:
The site still has genuine members — I’ve met some myself — but finding them now takes more patience and care. If members follow the above advice, and if management strengthens its approach to moderation, this platform could still be one of the best options available. My subscription was cancelled following my original complaint, but I didn’t want to stop using the site — I wanted to continue, and I’m willing to keep supporting the platform if the improvements I’ve mentioned are taken on board.

They Ban people and use profiles as commodities to lure you to pay

They treat SBs purely as commodities. I was new to the site and freaked out over an SD's excessively sexual message and reported to the site hoping for some clarification whether this is legal or not. No response from the site. I read more about the SB culture and realized I may have been over cautious so I decided to give the SD another chance. Yet the site told me report is permanent and cannot be reversed. I said okay then let me deactivate this account and start a brand new one. It worked for 24hours. I got plenty of messages and reconnected with the SDs. The site suddenly closed my new account and forced me to use the account I already deactivated. I explained the situation and then they banned me.
So basically their idea is either I do what they say or not to use the site. Note that the woman who banned me is white, and l'm from a minority group.
I don't know what they use my data for after depriving me of my rights. Not surprising if they use the SB accounts they seized in anyway they want to generate revenue for the site rather than help SDs find the right SB.

This website is honestly boring

This website is honestly boring. I had a few members who “messaged” me but never replied back after a certain time. The matches really aren’t the best either. There’s only a few select members who are in local area and the rest are hours away. I used to have a better experience on this site when I started going on there back in 2018. I don’t know what’s changed but I don’t really like it as much anymore. It’s just dull, dry and super boring. I favorite a profile and don’t even get a response from that person. I’m not sure what can be improved on this site.

I have given this site one star 🌟 and…

I have given this site one star 🌟 and that's only because I can't write my honest and true review about this SCAM dating site. Well it is a 100% SCAM SITE. Within a matter of days I received about 70+ messages and a week or so later, I decided to pay this SCAM SITE almost AU$100 which allowed me to respond to 10 messages out of the 70+ messages that I received, so that's AU$10.00 per message. The interesting part about it is that this SCAM SITE which the little maggots don't tell you about it at the start and before you pay them your money is, once you send the message, there are couple little notes "show read receipts" for extra 10 credits and "boost your message" for another 10 credits to highlight your message at the receiver end. Perhaps the little maggots mean to BOOST their pockets. One has to think now, why should your message be highlighted? If your message has been received by the other end, then it shouldn't be an issue for the other side to see it and read it. None of the messages that I have received were or are highlighted in any way. Then, your credits are down to 30, little banners are popping up telling you to claim an offer of 1000 credits and so on. They hope that some people will fall for it. I strongly recommend for people to use their everyday transaction bank cards on this site but instead do as I did. I use a Mastercard which I've gotten from the post office and there is no funds in it but only when I top it up for the amount that I need to use and that way, leaches like them from Dublin, if they try to get any funds out of it, then they get the longest out of the three between my legs. You know what I mean. At the end of the day avoid using this SCAM SITE only because you will waste your money.

Update 17 July 2025
I've send them a message via their system telling them that, by coincidence I met couple ladies that I had message and they claimed that they never received my message which confirms now that they block responses to make users by more credits. Nevertheless I asked them what kind of a SCAM are they running there and within less than 1 minute my account was deleted. SCAMMERS can only fool people to a point but after that, they get caught out. People should do everything they can to shut down these sites even though these scammers will open a new site.

Messages must be dodgy.

This company charges hundreds of dollars for credits to open and send messages, to view photos. I was messaged by over 30 women in less than a week and responded to 20. I got zero replies after their initial message. None. And I'm not unattractive. Beware.

Be very careful.

Be very careful of giving women your name, address or details of personal life or income background as there are serial blackmailing scammers on here. l have found to my cost and experience. There are genuine people there but all have issues and all are money led. There are no prostitutes with a heart of gold here.
