VERY UNRECOMMENDED

It is so bad, when I go on completely normal websites. which many people often do, it blocks it. And every time you search something up it has to be delayed by 3 blue dots. Sometimes, it takes 30 seconds just for it to be finished. It also takes regular screenshots of what is happening, which is an invasion of privacy. They use the term "protection" for slow spyware.

glorified spyware

securely is glorified spyware, it is an invasion of student's privacy and in many cases can be actively dangerous. do not use this, don't let this company get away with brainwashing an entire generation into believing that having their every action documented is normal and ok.

I got the cops called on me by Securly

I got the cops called on me when my headphones died while I was playing Call of Duty on a break from my homework to wind down. I didn’t think anything of it and kept playing. 20 minutes later the cops showed up saying there was a reported shooting. Damn securly thought the game audio was real. That was a fun conversation with the cops…

This Glorified spyware is TRASH

This Glorified spyware is TRASH! I have so much things to say i can't even list it all. it gives you no privacy. I agree with the idea that things should be blocked, but securly does it much too extensivley. There is a fine line between monitoring someone, and spying on them. Securly crosses that line. Snipe Snap even made a 24 minute video showing just a tiny explanation on why the malware is trash. It also causes unusual network traffic by spaming info to the district. Also, it blocks sites used for education!
BTW it also follows you to the point where this should be illegal.

Securly is really bad

Securly is really bad. It blocks resources given to us by teachers, takes 2 whole minutes to load a tab because securly has to scan each individual page of the site. Also, I can't even Google search because every search page is blocked by safe search.

I do not like Securly because it blocks everything

I do not like Securly because it blocks everything. This happens even when I am trying to do my school work.

I find Securly really annoying.

The worst part about Securly is that it flags words. What is the point of doing that?

You cannot even search for a school assignment because Securly sees a eord and gets upset.

Securly wastes our time because we get stuck trying to bypass the filters of Securly.

We should be finishing our school projects of dealing with Securly.

Securly is supposed to keep us safe from things, on the internet.

Mostly Securly just makes it hard to find what we actually need for our classes.

We have to spend a lot of time figuring out how to get around

when we just want to get our school work done with Securly not getting in the way.

Securly is supposed to help us with our school work. Securly does not.

It just gets in the way of our school work. That is why I do not like Securly.

The effects of this wretched system…

The effects of this wretched system will only be seen when all the kids using this grow up and won't be able to express themselves. As a student currently being monitored by this I would compare this to malware. I get blocked for a history website my teacher assigned for the category "games."

Tracker, data seller, and “helpful for students” all in one!

Securly makes zero sense whatsoever. As a student, it blocks, censors, and gives whatever I’m doing at the moment straight to the teachers. It sees everything and has taught me that I need to use other devices and have to wait till I’m at home before I get to do anything interesting. It has also taught me that my school device is almost completely useless because I need to do everything at home. Securly is one of the main reasons why school is horrible.
Even the notion that it is always watching me makes me write this review. Even when the device is off, it is still watching me. I don’t get why anyone thought this was a good idea. I was testing the limits of what I could search and found that if you look up “marijuana” it blocks the search but if you look up “cigarette,” “nicotine,” “how to get high,” “ways to die,” or “cigar,” it does literally nothing about it.
KILL THE GNOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
