This company is the craziest SCAM that…

This company is the craziest SCAM that I ever fell victim to. I purchased A platinum warranty after being promised that they would cover practically everything. When I had issues, they made excuses for not paying out (I called before having my car sent to a repair shop, and they would take care of it). The claim was denied even though I spoke to an agent for pre-approval, who told me to send the car to the repair shop so the work could be performed. I wanted to cancel, but I was told I would not get back the total amount I paid for the coverage. I called them recently for a second claim that has been denied approval, and I am not getting an apparent reason for it! BUYER BEWARE!!! Please do not pick them up! I don't see how they have managed to stay in business for any amount of time

Failed to refund after 3 days.

On or about Jan 3rd, we initiated a service plan with this company. Upon doing additional research, we changed our mind and canceled Jan 6th. We were told by the staff they would cancel and refund our monies in full within 7 to 10 business days. It is now 14 businesses days and we have yet to receive our funds.

At this time, based on our experience, we cannot recommend this company.

Recently reached out to see about…

Recently reached out to see about extended warranty for my 2020 Maxima, I worked w/Joe G and he was thorough in explaining details about coverage/costs and also patient with me about pulling the trigger...After I pulled the trigger unfortunately had to circle back with Joe/Select Auto Protect and cancel the policy due to unforeseen circumstance...He was disappointed but understanding which I truthfully thought there may be an issue and there was not. Based on that positive experience in next 1-2 months w/out a shadow of doubt will be securing the extended warranty w/Joe @ Select Auto Protect, he was a man of his word and I will reciprocate.

Excellent plans and the pricing is very fair.

I like your plans and the pricing is fair. However, it would be better if prospective buyers could access the information online and without having to text back and forth with a salesperson and not really see any documentation regarding coverage until AFTER you buy.

Read any extended warranty contract thoroughly

I was told on the phone during the sale everything is covered except wear and tear items. You don’t get the contract until you buy it and you do have 30 days to get your money back. Once I read the contract I saw the items that were excluded and it was more than normal wear and tear items. For the price after shopping multiple extended warranty companies I decided to keep this one and risk the items that were excluded. Just be sure to read the contract on any extended warranty.

and there is a surprising continuation…

and there is a surprising continuation of that story. Ms. Michele from Select Auto Protect reached out to me by text and conditioned my cancellation of the policy on contacting her personally by phone and wasnt satisfied with the text message cancellation request. Imagine having to contact and experience stress of talking to the person against whom you are complaining? How professional do you think that is on the scale from 0 to 5? Why would the company condition your cancellation on you talking to the person that you complained against? She then proceeded to say that "I feel that you experience what I experience when my supervisor had to review my conversations with you" essentially wishing me unwell, then she went on to say that she simply forgot to come back to me and her business day ended that day. Keep in mind she left the office right after misstating the mileage designed to deny coverage to any valid claim to later sign "you signed off on incorrect mileage" Her defense was that she accidentally put a wrong mileage, didnt look at the photo with the correct mileage. Too many defenses to deny it was done intentionally. Then she proceeded to talk over me on the recorded line to manufacture an argument against me that I was being combative. There is 0 reason for the customer to be combative when the customer has no claims with the company and is simply trying to cancel his policy. Note that her attempt to provoke a customer to talk over her was designed to be misrepresented as a customer just making things up and being angry because apparently she got away with this previously thats why she was using her usual tactics of misrepresentation to try to defend against her deception in putting wrong mileage on the car and stopping to respond to text messages (Keep in mind thats the same company that would have a rep call you if you submit your quote even at 11 pm, and she wants me to believe that there was no one to respond to her group monitored text messages which she again misrepresents being only viewed by her. Upon realizing that we have developed a really good record for her deceptive practice of setting me up to sign a contract with incorrect mileage to later deny every single valid claim if I ever decide to file one with a pretense "oh, sorry look you signed an incorrect mileage to us and you held your policy for 12 months, so we gona take 125$ for each month you had a policy and cancel the rest" This is deception at its core. Having Michele try to set me up on a recorded line by calling me a liar for presenting valid claims of deception and then subjecting me to a condition of contract cancellation to having to talk to her personally was humiliating to me, calling me a liar damages my reputation as a customer and causes me stress and physical manifestations of stress, I am interested in a class action to restore a sense of justice so this deception doesn't happen to any other customer. The reason why she wanted to talk to me in person is to try to cover the lie of misrepresenting the mileage, not disclosing the condition of "probably pre-existing conditions not known to the customer" LISTEN TO IT! The company denies coverage to conditions that are probably caused by other preexisting conditions that are NOT known to the customer - WHICH IS ALL VALID CLAIMS. How is this not a deception by failing to disclose that to me? And then trying to get me to sign a contract with incorrect mileage that she claimed she forwarded a photo of mileage to someone else. DO YOU BELIEVE that a customer service rep not looking at photos of your mileage that you are submitting to them to verify your mileage, and when you call out the lies and document the lies Ms.Michele requires to talk to you in person and tries to set you up and provoke you so you talk over her and so on the recorded line she can misrepresent her talking over as being combative which is the very essence of deception. I am offended personally by this conduct but I hope that someone looks into this business because if the company is allowing her to remain employed then the company is agreeable with her behavior which is both extreme and outrageous.

Michelle M. Provided Misinformation Just to Sell a Policy!!

Michelle M. was a high energy seller and I bought into what she was selling...and I bought the policy. However, I later learned what she told me was not true. I canceled the policy and went with another extended warranty company. To say the interaction with Michelle M. was a bad experience is an understatement. As I told her I don't do business with people who I cannot trust!!

Covered my claim

I’ve had the Select Auto Protect plan on my Mercedes SL550 since February 2024. In November I brought the car in for routine service at my local Mercedes dealership. The technician discovered the car had a collapsed transmission mount. My service advisor contacted SAP and the repair was covered. I only had to pay the tax for the part. So at this point I’m very happy with the plan.

Company is a scam. They denied every claim submitted over the last year.!

I took the top plan plus tire insurance. Very claim has been denied. They always have an excuse for not paying on any claim. Even when I got them to agree to pay a small portion of one claim, they never sent me the money. IT IS A TOTAL SCAM. I have just cancelled the policy; I will see if they will honor their promise to pay back a pro rata portion of what I paid if I cancelled the policy for any reason.
