My story is no different from other reviewers on this page with regards to this company. For more than 3 months now, I have not received my money. My calls are not answered and now emails are not going through because the server cannot find their address. They are not to be trusted but I am not giving up. I will use every means legally necessary to get my money.

Sent my laptop in, status was changed to "awaiting payment" on 14 September, still haven't heard anything a month later despite numerous emails and will be reporting this company as fraudulent.

My daughter used this company for some hard earned money towards buying a new laptop for her studies.Seemed simple enough, emailed at each step during the process. UNTIL money was due! Still waiting! 2 weeks after saying complete and waiting payment. I am sending all the details to the Police Fraud online team as we speak. Ref 009962

I had a fairly positive experience with syl-uk. The whole process from start to finish was around 12 days which is fair enough. Payment went through fine (2-3 days after quote was accepted by me).

A word of caution: Make sure you enter what you're selling accurately. I feel cheated somewhat as they originally offered £125 and paid £30, however there were some faults with the machine that I hadn't entered correctly (hard drive had been wiped so OS needed reinstalling, one mouse button missing, purchase date was 2 years off, wrong type of DVD drive selected). I still think I should've got at least £60, but I was desparate. Just a warning.

Customer service hasn't yet got back to me about an issue I raised, but I only emailed yesterday (Support said 48 - 72 hours for a reply).

Overall, a positive experience. I shan't be using them again though, I'd rather break laptops for parts myself (I could've got £50 on eBay had I had a few hours to spare!)

recieved payment after a few weeks, poor communication

Like many others here, I'd sent a Laptop off (009695) which in all fairness was processed quite quickly. However since the order was marked awaiting payment then instantly to complete, no payment has been received and all attempts at communication have gone unanswered.

Luckily I had only sent one of a few machines I wanted to send off and I'd recommend anyone considering using these people to think twice. Will be reporting them to both the police and trading standards.

Sent my laptop 2 weeks ago, and, despite the late payment and some hassle inbetween, I was paid the quote that I accepted.

Beware and do not use this organisation, as it appears completely fraudulent. I sent my laptop (order #009524) off in late September, and received email confirmation that my laptop was received, checked and approved on 2nd October.

As per the company terms and conditions stated on their website, payment is due to the customer via bank transfer within 7 working days of the machine being accepted. Thus, my payment was due to me no later than 13th October. I waited until the 14th, and emailed their support email to advise I had not received payment and was holding them in breach of contract. I requested that they honour their terms and conditions by making payment of 89GBP as quoted to me, by Friday 16th October. I received absolutely no response.

I fully intend to report this as fraud through the most appropriate channels: Action Fraud, the Trading Standards, as well as seeking advice from the Citizens Advice Bureau and pursuing with legal action.

This is THEFT, plain and simple. Avoid using this website.

This website is an absolute joke. I have sent my laptop at the end of July, they lowered the price down by £30 which I accepted because I didn't want to pay £11.95. I have not heard anything since July 29th. I emailed 5 times, tried to ring but no answer. I have reported it as Fraud yesterday.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Sent my laptop off 3 weeks ago! got a revised quote that I accepted, I now have no contact from the website I have email 5/6 times... found a phone number online and left numerous messages but nothing! I am not happy this is not a way to treat customers!
Has anyone had any luck recently with this company as im not sure where to go from here! I just need my money

“Do not use!” - Laptop was received and marked as 'awaiting payment' on 8/4/15 and I have heard nothing since!
Payment promised within 7 working days and still not been received 2 weeks later.
Have sent numerous emails and had no response!!
Their automatic reply to my email says they will respond in 48 hours - again, this is not true! If they are "receiving 2-300 units a day" and can't keep up with their own guidelines they should not be accepting new customers. Completely unacceptable!
No phone number to attempt to call them..
will be seeking legal advice if payment not received this week!

Good structured website, easy to handle and straightforward process combined with rapid turnaround.

I found the website on an internet search engine and thought it might be worth sending my old laptop seeing as I'd just purchased a new Sony one and couldn't see the point in getting nothing for the old one.

Filled in the details online and a prepaid box arrived with precise instructions a few days later. Sent the package off and within no time had confirmation package received and that the value was more than I was expecting. Agreed with the price given and payment received in a few days. Would recommend to any of my friends or family.

Had a couple of laptops lying around and had heard of this company through a friend so I approached them to see what they would offer me.
To my surprise what I was going to throw away they offered me a few quid for :) happy days.
will defo use again and would highly recommend them to anyone

I'm usually a bit cautious when sending any items to online companies however in this occasion I couldn't have had better service. A box was sent quickly to pick up my item and I received periodic emails when the item arrived, was checked and payment was made. I would happily recommend this website to others!

when I sold my laptop to this company I was surprised that they were over £60 higher in their offer than any of the other companies. Box arrived next day and got an email to say it had arrived. Next day email saying payment had been made, for the original amount.

Over the moon to say the leased and will use again.

Everything seemed fine.

I got a quote, accepted it and received a pre paid box to send my laptop back to them.

I haven't heard anything since, can find no details or telephone number for them and they won't reply to any of my emails.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!
