Thank you for the bicycle delivery…

Thank you for the bicycle delivery service. The service was excellent! The consultation provided all the necessary information. The box was perfectly sized for my bicycle. The delivery was timely, and the ability to track the route was very helpful.

Zero customer service at first. Better after complaint

Box ordered for an ebay sale on Thursday 2 Nov due for delivery Monday 6 Nov. It's now Thursday 9 Nov and i can see that the box has been stuck at DHL in Warrington since Sunday 5 Nov. So it's likely lost or damaged.
It's taken too long for my ebay buyer and I've made other arrangements. Despite 2 email and a pointless chat with an AI bot I haven't had any response regarding a refund. I can see from other reviews that when things go wrong there's no one to step in and sort things out.

UPDATE. I've now received a refund. Response was energetic once I posted a negative review. Perhaps invest in dealing with problems before customers get so irritated that they post negative reviews.
Have changed overall review to 3 stars.

UK to France Courier Failure and unsatisfactory customer service

We used SendBike to ship 6 bikes from UK to France for our cycling holiday in June. 5 bikes arrived on time within 4 days, but the sixth one was lost in DHL’s system, being finally delivered by DHL a further 8 days later and three days after our arrival in France and the start of our trip. This left one of our party very anxious as she had no bike, plus the expense of purchasing a replacement bike. I was in constant contact with SendBike, but their customer service was very poor and were unable to get DHL to deliver on time, expecting us to contact DHL directly in France. As other reviews have noted SendBike are only reachable via email, making any follow-up with them very difficult if you are travelling. I have subsequently made a compensation claim to SendBike, which they have not agreed to or replied to my last two emails.

Don't deliver on service, damage bike and ghost clients

They don't arrange anything with DHL, they don't inform you about how to arrange pick up with DHL and then they communicate you the pick up that you have had to set up yourself as if they had done it.

My bike arrived damaged with several additional holes in the box and the pedal sticking out of the box. I paid for insurance but now they are just ghosting me and not replying to emails pretending they are trying to get in touch with DHL (which is their issue but none I should be concerned with since I paid them and not DHL). Don't take them, it is inconvenient and will end up costing you way more than you thought in time and money (on top of a damaged bike).

Response to concerns

The box came quickly to pack the bike. I was concerned about the weight of the bike. That was resolved with the quick response from Pipa, i hope i have the name right, through the online chat service. The whole process was done professionally and with prompt response. Thanks to the team at send a bike.

Worst customer experience I’ve ever…

Worst customer experience I’ve ever had! Do not use these scammers!!!

No desire to accept responsibility for mistakes, the only communication appeared to be from an AI bot via email because the responses I received were both unprofessional and insincere.
No urgency in refund (still waiting 3 months later…)

I organised for SendBike to ship my bike out to France at the end of July 2023. Immediately we ran into problems with import duty charges, despite the fact this bike was my own personal property and you don’t have to pay said charges on personal property. There was no mention of any additional charges when signing up with SendBike. The charge was around €600, half the cost of the bike which obviously I was never going to pay. SendBike refused to pick up the charge and said it was nothing to do with them. After getting in touch with DHL who were holding my bike in France until the charge was paid, they said SendBike had to pay the charge or the alternative it would get sent back to the UK. The back and forth trying to get SendBike to do this took 3 weeks. In total my bike was in transit or being held for over a month.

By the time it was returned to my UK address I had begun seeking a refund as the service I paid for had not been fulfilled. The communication fell off and I was getting a response once a week if I was lucky, up to 2 weeks at a time waiting for a reply. Although the initial delivery payment was paid to SendBike they are trying to say that the refund is being organised with DHL. It is now 3 months on since I first arranged this delivery and I am still waiting for a refund. I am truly disgusted with the complete lack of customer service ability, inability to take responsibility, offering no apology and making the refund process virtually impossible.
