Battery issues and back end problems.

Products rushed to the market with no support. Sensors are unstable and frequently run out of battery.
Back end data processing is nothing close to what they showed in demos. Be careful!
We've been testing them for 2 months now.
At least 2 of the reviews left here are from their own employees. Seriously mate?!

Sensoteq Evaluation

Sensoteq have a well-developed platform with easy access to different sites.
The home page for each site is well laid out with a list of assets on the left, the site map in the centre and alarms on the right. There are hyperlinks at all locations to bring you directly to the asset or an alarm.
Drilling down into each asset then gives a good overview of both the asset, the asset information and alarms. The asset points are on the top left, followed by the asset layout with sensor location on the top right, photos on the bottom left and asset alarm score on the bottom right.
Drilling down further, each point then has the measuring point details on the top left, 1 week alarm trends in the top right, installation images in the bottom left and events on the bottom right. The point speed and bearing type can then be entered at the config screen.
For analysis on each point, there are 2 overall trends, one for temperature and one for overall acceleration. Each point has tri-axial representations of spectrums, available in full screen, high resolution or full spectrum. Spectrum features include harmonic cursors, sideband cursors, bearing defect frequencies and the ability to change from velocity to acceleration and back to displacement. Zoom is performed via mouse wheel and peak selection via click. Harmonic cursors/sidebands can then be chosen by either hot keys or right mouse click.
The time-waveform is also well developed with a full screen option, zoom via mouse wheel. Multiple peaks can be chosen via mouse click with the time stamp, amplitude and difference displayed in table format to the right. Harmonics can be chosen with a hot key or by right clicking on peaks. The period and inverse frequency are displayed both in CPM and Hz. Advanced options include playing the time waveform, auto-correlation and circular plot.
Trending can then be displayed via powerbands which are broken up into multiples of running speed and variants of bearing defect frequency bands. Trends are also available in pk-pk acceleration, rms acceleration and crest factor. Any point on any trend can be clicked on to bring the viewer to the corresponding spectrum and waveform. Finally, a waterfall plot can displayed with each spectrum having a different colour and there is the ability to switch between velocity, acceleration and displacement.
In summary, Sensoteq has a well-developed vibration analysis platform allowing for detailed and complex remote diagnosis of machinery.
Some suggestions for future development would be;
• High frequency detection algorithm (similar to peakvue, demodulation)
• Enveloped spectrum alarms for constant speed machinery.
• The ability to create forced frequency definitions in the spectrum and alarm on them. E.g, Gear mesh frequencies and their harmonics, vane pass frequency, belt pass frequency, etc.
• A simple summary in a pie chart on the number of assets in alarm and the number of assets that have no issues.
