A Review that will hopefully help others
I stumbled upon the Serenity Method during one of the darkest periods of my life. I was literally drowning in a sea of anxiety, feeling like I was being pulled under with no way to escape.
My anxiety had pushed me to the brink of despair and previously, my days were filled with relentless panic attacks and a constant sense of impending doom. I couldn't even enjoy a simple meal without feeling sick to my stomach. Every day was exhausting for me.
But Lawrence Leyton's program cleverly broke down those walls and I do feel like I have the control back. I can't begin to express the profound impact the Serenity Method has had on my life and for this reason I wanted to share this with others in the hope that it might help them too.

I've struggled with anxiety for as long as I can remember, and I've tried everything to find relief. The Serenity Method is the first thing that has truly made a difference in my life.

Serenity Method
My life before I finished the serenity course was hell. It had been getting worse and worse since COVID. I have always suffered with social and health anxiety but COVID seemed to push my buttons. Since COVID I developed poor mental habits as well as compulsions to gain control. The threat of COVID reduced, but because I had these habits, I looked for other threats. These threats increased over the last few years to a point at which I felt that easily 95% plus of my life was a threat. In that, things I touched, breathed in or ate. All of it was a threat. Some of my thoughts that I imagined were absolutely ridiculous but I could not control them. My wife found the Serenity Academy on line. She did this as I was going through a panic attack. I was totally helpless and not knowing what to do. I lived and breathed chronic anxiety. On the SUD scale I was living day at 8, 9 or 10. I completed the phobia reading and then continued onto the Serenity Method. I have been working on the daily habits and regularly go over past principle videos. Since I completed the course, on the SUD scale, I have been living at about 3 to 4. This is huge difference. I feel that I have a life now. I still get the thoughts, but have a way of dealing with them. Realising false threats and anxiety illusions was a huge revelation to me. I would say, that at least 95% plus of my anxiety was an illusion imagined by me. I am no way out of the woods yet, as I have been practicing what I have been instructed in for less than three weeks. I still have moments of high anxiety, but I have a method to help me. Because I have lived my life for the past few years with catastrophic thoughts which are believable, it is still a little difficult sometimes to believe that I am just making the anxious thought up. Today, I have to practice the techniques. But each day is another day on my road to recovery. Thank you!! I can look forward to an anxiety free future. Still early days but I will get there. By the way, I think the course etc saved my marriage. We as a family have just booked a holiday in June to Portugal. I could not even have thought about doing this a month ago. A genuine science based course that works.
In April of this year I started to have panic attacks and severe anxiety which would last from waking in the morning until I fell asleep.
I was filled with a sense of dread and doom that something bad was going to happen, I would get awful recurring thoughts of hurting myself or others and loosing control, these thoughts would be accompanied by horrendous mental images which would then increase the anxiety.
I was having hot sweats, on one occasion I got so hot that I nearly passed out. would wake up wet in the morning with wet sheets due to the sweats. My appetite completely went and I would sit looking at my food feeling sick, when I did get some food into my mouth I found it so hard to swallow and instantly felt like I would throw up. I would cover myself with a throw on the settee and try to sleep as much as possible for two reasons the first and most important was because the only time I could escape my own mind was by sleeping and secondly the whole thing was just mentally and physically draining me.
I started to avoid going to places and doing things that I would usually enjoy and found myself making plans of how to avoid doing things. I went completely into myself and found I couldn't make conversation with my friends or family because the only thing constantly on my mind was the fear and anxiety. The only words I can think to describe everyday was doom and dread. I felt like my life was over and there was no way out of this deeply distressing situation.
After about a week of researching things I came across a video on YouTube of someone called Lawrence Leyton, I had never heard of him before, the video was about breathing techniques that eased anxiety. I researched him on the Internet and found the serenity method. As you can imagine, I had seen a lot of suspicious looking " I will cure your anxiety for good" websites so I was very cautious and anxious to commit to this. I started looking into Lawrence further and numerous reviews and blogs on his fear of flying programmes, all of which were excellent, every one of them stated that the course had worked for them and they could now fly again. Seeing this and reading how he had cured people's anxiety I decided to bite the bullet and sign up.
I was still slightly sceptical understandably, but I knew I had to do something.
I started on the first lesson straight away, Lawrence has an excellent understanding of anxiety and panic and describes exactly what is happening to you and why. Learning why these things were happening was very helpful, I feel that understanding a problem instantly makes you feel slightly better and also I could identify with what he was saying which made realise that many people suffer from this illness and I'm not alone. Even better still, I learnt that not only do a lot of people suffer from this but also a lot of people completely recover and go go on to live full and happy lives.
I went through two principles or lessons on the first day, I still had my anxiety telling me it wouldn't work but I also felt some hope creeping in. After two days, I was surprised to find that I woke up without wet sheets and without the immense feeling of dread. I was shocked and over the moon. I was still suffering from the anxiety at this point and it still stayed all but Seeing that small change for the better felt amazing.
Over the first week of the serenity method my hot sweats completely stopped and my appetite returned which was great because I'd lost over half a stone in weight by this point.
I can't describe the feeling of knowing you are feeling better, everyday I was thinking this can't be right, it can't be going away this quickly.
A week or so later Family were noticing and mentioning how much better I seemed in myself and happier too. I was chatting to people again, smiling and laughing. It felt great.
There's nothing like the feeling I got when I could see and feel I was getting better, it was such a relief to start feeling like the old me again and have some peace inside my head.
For every good day I had it gave me confidence to build on that and then the next day I would automatically feel more positive and happier which would then lead to another good day.
It's all so easy, all you have to do is stick with it.
Every now and again I find myself thinking about something normal and mundane like the washing up and then stop and smile to myself because there's room in my head now for boring thoughts rather than it feeling that it's going to explode with all the awful anxious thoughts.
I know only too well how horrendous this illness is and just hope that anyone reading this will take up the serenity method, its the best thing I have done, I've tried all sorts over the years and nothing has worked until now. I would love to meet Lawrence and personally thank him for changing my world
A Huge Success!
I was at a complete low point with my anxiety and felt like giving up but a friend of mine suggested the Serenity Method, as they had success with it.
I was cynical because nothing had worked for me in the past, but my friend gently persuaded me to try it and I'm glad I did as it's made a huge difference in my life.
Lawrence Leyton is an anxiety expert and he really knows his stuff and explains everything so well.
First he gives you the science behind everything and then he gives you a set of techniques and because you understand how they work it makes it so much easier to believe in them and try them.
For me it's been a very positive experience and
worth every penny. It's changed my outlook in life, and I feel a lot happier than I did previously.
