DO NOT USE>>>>> SCAM

I brought a Serve Visa card and put $40 on it September 19, 2025 to use for website I don't want my actual debit card on.....The same day I tried to use it > DECLINED!!!! I read the website they want you to put you to register and use a Social Security Number, THEY MUST BE CRAZY if they think im using my social security number for a pay-as-go card!!!
I called and got someone from Indiana who tells me that and I told him yall must be crazy to think someone going to register with SSN from a cheap company. I'm out of $40..DO NOT USE THEY ARE A SCAM OR IF YOU WANT TO GIVE UP YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER TO SOME FOREIGN PEOPLE!!! Better Business Bureau need to get involved!!!

Serve.com VISA Card purchased

Card purchased, couldn't register it, then account drained by Serve.com with monthly fees until cards balance was 25 cents!!! This company is a fraud. They have multiple phone numbers, but only recorded messages. Can't reach a human at all. No email address to write to them about this. Unacceptable .

Confusing, Contradictory, and Predatory – Avoid Serve Prepaid Cards

I bought a Serve prepaid Visa card on July 13, 2024, and just found out they quietly drained the full balance through monthly fees without ever notifying me. I never used the card, and when I called back then to register it, the process was so confusing that I had to call customer service. They told me there was some kind of issue (which I no longer recall) and refused to register the card for me.

Now, a year later, the money is gone—and the explanations I’ve gotten from Serve have been wildly inconsistent.

First, they told me that monthly fees only apply if the card is registered. But then they told me the card was never registered. When I asked how they could charge fees on an unregistered card, they said the card was automatically considered registered at the time of purchase, which made it eligible for fees.

Then they said they charged a $9.95 fee once in July 2024 and didn’t charge again until April 2025—and somehow continued draining the balance after that. None of this was communicated clearly or consistently.

Yes, the packaging mentioned a monthly fee—but only in small, easy-to-miss fine print on the back. There was no clear warning that this card would essentially self-destruct through fees if left unused, nor any effort to notify me by email or otherwise that my balance was being eaten away.

This card feels like a trap. I never used it, tried to register it and was denied, and they still took every dollar. I strongly advise avoiding Serve. There are better, more transparent prepaid card options out there.

Serve drains you with fees, watch out!

Bought one of their cards as way to give my child a set amount of money for a school trip. Turns out they ended up taking about 40% of the money I put on the card in fees! And I thought I'd done my research and chosen a low fee card. It's a scam - don't use their products.

Worst card on the market

This is rhe worst card i have ever seen. We bought it to pay bills. We activated it & when we tried to pay a bill it was declined. Then i see where you have to register it. I filled out the form & they say they cant approve an account for me. When i talked to aomebody thwy could not give me a reason for not giving me ab account. Because they wouldnt aoprove an acct for me my card got downgraded so not i could only use the card to make purchases. Of course no supervisor was available to assist me when i asked for one. They said they didnt have the option to return my money by check. I only got my money back because i bought stuff i needed but then some of my bills didnt get paid cuz that was the only way i was going to get something for my money.Andbthey gad the nerve to charge me a service for a this loysy service i got. BAD, BAD CARD THIS INE IS!!!!!

Honesty is NOT THEIR SPECIALTY

They're not honest at all I purchased the card for bill reasons. Had a balance tried transferring wasn't able. Looked on line to discover for every time I used the card 1$ was tacked on but for what reason. I basically gave them before knowing 50$ in fees. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE!!!!!!!! 😭

Zero Buyer Protection!

I purchased a service with an online advertisement firm that charged my Serve card, then said they could not find the payment. Therefore, I got no service. I opened a dispute with Serve, explained they had charged my card, and then said they could not see a payment. A few days later, Serve tells me they need a copy of the refund notice from the company in order to proceed with the investigation. A bunch of idiots. How would there be a refund notice from a company that says they never got a payment in the first place! Serve offers NO buyer protection at all. They are a bunch of lazy, incompetent people who don't do their job.
