Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 47 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the pricing, often finding that the vouchers or discounted tickets ended up being more expensive than purchasing directly from the cinema, especially after additional fees and charges were applied. Customers also reported issues with the service, including problems with receiving codes, unhelpful support, and a general feeling that the service was pointless or even misleading. The website was also a source of frustration, with users encountering error messages and unclear information regarding fees. Conversely, a small portion of people were satisfied with the booking process and discounts, noting that they were able to save money on cinema tickets and that the voucher codes arrived instantly and worked without issues for some specific cinema chains.

Didn't save a penny

BlueLight Card Member here. This is a total rip-off. I didn't save a penny, and I ended up paying almost £20 more! Don't bother!!

Really poor service

Service seats tickets that I purchased won’t work and no way to contact the company. Really poor experience.

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. Avoid. Can only contact them via email which took over an hour to reply. After buying 5 vouchers to use at Cineworld Sheffield thro Blue light, the booking wouldn’t work online … after which they never bothered replying. I was forced to go to the cinema itself to sort the mess out.
Blue Light need to bin this rubbish outfit…the saving was minuscule.

SCAMMERS - DON'T TRUST

PLEASE AVOID. Last weekend I paid for the code to watch the Paul McCartney film and when I tried to input the voucher detail on the website it wouldn't work, next I tried the code on the Showcase app and it wouldn't work there either. Next step I called the cinema and they told me to come down with the code and they will input it, I tried that and was told it wouldn't go through due to it being a limited edition film but I can use any it for any normal film. Today I've dropped by the cinema to book Joker 2 only to be told someone has used my code to watch a film in the same cinema 2 days ago. Con artists

Scaaaam!

Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews before attempting to use this service and got mugged. Blue Light really needs to disassociate itself from Service Seats.

Paid £10 for vouchers. Got sent voucher codes. Went to book tickets on Cineworld website & entered voucher codes to find their value was exactly 0.00.

Not straight forward but ok for me

I’m new to the blue light scheme so thought I would give it a go when booking cineworld tickets. I was very confused about what I was doing, it was not very clear. At first I was getting a very good bargain at £15 for 3 tickets instead of £45. As it turns out I had to also pay £17 when booking. So luckily it is still cheaper but not as cheap as I initially thought. Although looking at the other reviews I have been very lucky.

Absolute scam!!

Absolute scam!!
Went through my blue light card to purchase 2 cinema tickets. Received a text message with a link to the service seats portal and an access code. Tried to log in and says authentication problem. No way of contacting them as its an unsafe site. Disgusted!!

Complete Joke

Complete Joke, I used Bluelight and was directed to this scam via the Bluelight app, I paid £17 for two tickets and when I wanted to use them, I was charged an additional £12 pound + vat, so the regular price would have been £26 but now I am paying over £30.
I will be reporting this scam to Bluelight as it is not a discount service it is a scam.

avoid, more expensive overall

Buying directly from Odeon would have been cheaper.

Instead I payed slightly less on ServiceSeats, and then had to pay an additional fee to Odeon after adding my voucher to the basket. Of course you can only know this AFTER buying the voucher. Whats the point!!

DO NOT USE

Ordered two Odeon Limitless vouchers, one worked and the other didn’t. Contacted them immediately, after 2 days they simply advised that the vouchers had been used. Well they hadn’t been used by me! Nearly 3 weeks later I’m still waiting for a satisfactory resolution. The worst thing was, I only noticed after ordering, that buying them from Odeon directly would only be 1p more expensive. Blue Light Card needs to seriously review who they are partnered with, this company is abhorrent.

Ordered 2 tickets for my local Vue

Ordered 2 tickets for my local Vue, received the vouchers codes but unable to use them as they are not valid voucher codes, ended up having to buy full cost tickets. Emailed for refund by no reply so far. Surely this company should not be allowed to continue doing this.

Awful experience

Awful experience. Paid for voucher codes which on attempt to claim advised already redeemed. No response from customer service. Had to go through my bank for refund. They have currently only refunds £5.70 from a £37 transaction. Currently escalating further. Please avoid at all cost.
