If I could give the customer service 0…

If I could give the customer service 0 I would. Don’t buy the wax they pressure into buying. Ruined my project and customer service refused to support with my issue

Just some further context: I purchased from this company after doing extensive research on their website and via other platforms where they promoted. It seemed like they would be the best fit for my project. The paint was fine and the application process was easy, however, the issue was the wax, which they put a lot of energy into convincing you to buy as the final step of your project. I applied it directly as instructed in the video tutorials provided by shabbynook, as well as the information provided on their website on the product. I was really disappointed when my partner pointed out strange marks and stains left by the wax. Instead of providing any reasonable support, the company decided it was all my fault. I've left a review, which I don't usually do because of how rude and dismissive they've been and ultimately because I feel that I've been duped into buying something that I didn't need. I hope that others don't make the same mistake. Ultimately, I wish I'd explored other options, rather than be in the position I am now, which is ending up with a ruined piece of furniture after hours of work (sanding, painting, drying, painting again, with the final regretful step of applying the unnecessary wax) The condescending customer service rep hasn't helped with the general feeling of dissatisfaction and regret. Avoid if you can.

Just FYI, the advice they offered was for me to remove all the wax and paint with spirit and start again.

Hi Hasimo, as per our conversations I have provided lots of advice and suggestions as to why your project was patchy. It isn't the wax that caused this, but user error. Not only are you suggesting that we have pressured you into purchasing the wax from us you are also suggesting that I refused support. There was absolutely no pressure from anyone for you purchase Annie Sloan wax, you have your own free will when making purchasing decisions on our website. I have also given advise on how you might rectify the issues you are having. But because I declined to give you as refund you have left a poor review.

Really helpful business

Really pleased to find a stockist of General Finishes products, my order was delivered the following day really well packaged.
I had contacted Shabby Nook via their website prior to ordering & they were able to answer my questions.

Fusion paints

I’ve bought from shabby nook before online because I live too far away to visit the shop. The postage is rather expensive to be honest, I ordered a colour chart which was £4.50 including postage. I later found somewhere else that only charged £2.50- just to cover postage which seems fair- colour charts are usually free anyway as you usually order from them so that should be the profit part! I was going to order the paint from shabby nook too, as I have in the past, but the postage is much higher than the other shop I found so I will be using them from now on. It’s a shame as if the postage had been fair then I wouldn’t have shopped around- glad I did as there were other offers on too.

Hi Zoe,our costs are fair and just for shipping, we actually make a loss on shipping colour charts at the prices we charge, it doesn't mean we are over charging because you have found someone cheaper, we would very much like to stay in business
