After a lot of time spent looking for a new suite, we visited Red Brick and was impressed by the Shackleton range. We were assisted by Terry who was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond expected service levels to make sure that we explored all possible options so that our final choice would be perfect for us. Thanks also to James for helping to put the package together once the key interior design decisions had been made.

Ordered a dining table 14th June, told delivery would be 6-8 weeks, making delivery at the 8 week mark on 9th August. Just rang them to check if they had a delivery date yet, told that they will receive it on 14th August and that it will take upto 2 weeks to deliver it to me from then, so that takes delivery to me up to 28th August. I expressed that I'm not happy with that and Leah's response was to query whether I wanted to cancel the order, not see what she can do to get it delivered on time or even offer a discount. Reluctantly waiting for it to be delivered.

So Professional, having the need to acquire a Mobility chair urgently for a family member, we couldn’t have had any better service throughout our contact with the company, very thoughtful caring and considerate as they guided us through the process for the appropriate chair for her mobility. Nothing was unachievable in our conversation with Jack and Dawn as they were very helpful and understanding.
This being our family’s 3rd time in purchasing at Shackleton of Batley.

We bought four chairs ,from Shackletons, for our lounge around five years ago. The service was excellent. They explained the difference on sizes etc and nothing was too much trouble. When we decided we wanted to update our furniture in our conservatory we went straight to Shackletons. Once again, the staff were great. Unfortunately, we selected two recliner chairs that were made abroad. One of the chairs had a defect and was unusable .I rang Shackletons, spoke with Jack, and that very afternoon they came and picked up the faulty chair left me with a replacement chair until a new chair could be organised. The service from Jack ,the rest of sales team not forgetting Martin on delivery has been nothing but excellent. You don't get many Companies who go above and beyond the normal service. This is a Company I would definitely recommend. When you buy from Shackletons you are buying quality.

Earlier this year I bought I reclining chair from Shackletons, Batley. It wasn't one of their own chairs, but from an independent supplier. It was found to be defective when delivered. There was absolutely no fuss or drama from Shackletons, they simply arranged another brand new chair to be delivered. The replacement had the same observable defective. It was returned, and, having agreed with my observations issued me a full refund within 2 hrs of the return.

Now I emphasise that this was NOT Shackletons fault at all. It wasn't a chair of their design. What this review is about is to reassure you of Shackletons very excellent customer service, and a commitment to a quality product, regardless of the supplier. They have certainly proven to me that take their responsibilities and reputation seriously.

In addition, I have found all their staff to be friendly and helpful. From the delivery drivers, through the showroom staff, and right up through to the senior management, it appears to me at least to be a company who care. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again and I would certainly recommend them, for all the right reasons.

What a good experience from start to finish. went to the showroom was given plenty of space looking and trying out various chairs. When we required assistance Claire was more than happy to explain about various size chairs re height and comfort different materials and finishes . Our purchase was totally tailored to our requirements.

Delivery of our order of two high back chairs was well organised and could I say the delivery personnel were very helpful , cheerful and more than happy to answer any questions we had including disposal of our old furniture.

I would have no hesitation in recomending Shackletons for an excellent product and quality service.

When we visited the showroom, Claire was friendly and helpful, but knew exactly when to leave us to just wander round the showroom, trying dozens of different chairs. She was also very knowledgeable, offering excellent advice about size, style, model and recliners/riser-recliners. She was happy for us to return the next day with my favourite cushion, fabric samples and curtain fabric samples.
Later when Dawn contacted us about payment and delivery she was also very friendly and helpful, and made everything perfectly clear.
On delivery day, the two staff members bringing the chair were careful thorough and professional.
In summary, it could not have been a better experience.

What a refreshing change to deal with a company that appears to care. The Customer Service has been amazing. From the first phone call enquiry to collecting "The Chair" we have been bowled over. We were kept updated by e-mail and telephone, staff were friendly, helpful, and super efficient, and we now have a quality chair which highlights all of Shackletons exacting standards. Cannot thank Dawn and the rest of the team at Shackletons, Batley enough.

The showroom visit went well.
The furniture was delivered with the wood frame protruding through the fabric and the cloth was faulty in one area where it had not been stretched. During the visit they walked mud all over my wool rug and knocked my plant pot over.
2nd visit one of the faults had not been rectified that was highlighted on the first visit.
Third visit with the repaired sofa looks OK.
There is NO QUALITY control in their workshop this should not have happened. For the first reject fault to come back untouched is unacceptable.

We ordered our chairs after Jack helped us with the details. We had already chosen our chairs via the website but of course wanted to try how the chairs felt to sit in. We chose the high quality leather via the samples provided. Dawn and Jack since our order and leaving a deposit have been so helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Our Carpet was delayed and it was no problem at all for our chairs to be kept safely until required. Payment and delivery were quickly sorted out once our Carpet had been fitted. Delivery was good. Our experience with Shackleton has been fantastic! Our chairs are so comfortable. I would highly recommend this company.

Bought a three seater sofa and two recliner chairs. As we are tall we were able to get chairs that fit taller people and with decent foam in the cushions so they last a long time. There was quite a wait for the order to be ready but the chairs arrived today in North East Scotland and they are great. Good service and knowledgeable sales people.

RIP OFF MERCHANTS!!!!

I bought a Baker dining set from the Clitheroe showroom and paid in full the same day. The bench main supont beam broken, I contacted the customer support team and advised the furniture AS ADVERTISED had a 5 year guarantee.
I paid £1200 for this dining suite only to be told with no explanation this item only had a 1 year guarantee and they are not in a position to help. I was told by the shop and by customer services this had a 5 year guarantee, but was emailed to the contrary.

STAY AWAY FROM SHACKLETONS - ONE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY THEY DONT CARE!!!!!!

Recently ordered a bed from Shackletons, We had the pleasure of dealing with Oliver who went above and beyond. We queried the manufacturers dimensions of the bed as the bed in the showroom didn’t match the manufacturers specifications and was smaller meaning it would fit in our bedroom. As promised Oliver contacted the manufacturer and after several communications they confirmed their listed specifications were wrong, meaning the bed would fit in our bedroom. Oliver rang with an update each time he spoke to Tetrad, we really couldn’t have asked for better service - thk you. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

I recently ordered a Shackleton chair for a client. My order was processed very efficiently. They have a great choice of fabric, as well as chair designs. All the staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful. And they delivered on time!!

Recently ordered an extra chair to match previous purchase ,all went well but I panicked the day it was due to be delivered because we were going into lockdown !They kindly kept the chair & I am pleased to say it has now joined the other ones in my sitting room.
Excellent service and very pleased with chairs.

We needed a chair urgently for a sick relative. Great range of chairs and the staff were helpful and knowledgeable in identifying those that met our needs. The staff went out of their way to help us and helped us to quickly improve the comfort and mobility of my relative. Happy to recommend them.
