Great quality and service. However, buying UK products from the EU is a mess after Brexit. I'd buy much more from Shades of Coffee if they had an EU office.

A game changer
I recently purchased the PID kit for my Gaggia espresso machine from Shades of Coffee (plus the OPV, Brew Pressure Gauge, the Dimmer Mod and other parts) and I couldn't be happier with the results.
The delivery to Brazil occurred without any setbacks, and the installation process was surprisingly straightforward. The instructions provided were clear and concise. Still, after watching some videos on YouTube, the installation was even faster.
Every part felt good quality. It's clear that Shades of Coffee takes great care in sourcing high-quality components for their products, and it shows in the final result. Moreover, making coffee with my Gaggia has become a more enjoyable experience. The consistency and control provided by the PID make the process more fun and less stressful (no more crazy temperature surfing).
It's now a pleasure to experiment with different beans, knowing that I can trust my machine to deliver exceptional results every time.

I must correct my first review and give 5*. I bought the red floater not knowing that it's designed to the slim tray.
The 9 bar OPV is giving satisfactory results.
The shipment was swift and in good packaging.

You trully deserve the lowest rate experience. I tried everything in my power to get the tracked option. Tried to add more to my basket, tried to lower my basket. The only option available was untracked option, I remeber being very unhappy, but since I need the upgrades I bought anyway. Now I dont know what problem your website have with tracked options but do not put the blame on me. I want to get my itens and I need a solution, not blames on my side wich im 100% confident wasnt my fault!!! EDIT: I have to edit. Cause I got character limit in my first reply... You need to check your website coding before trying to blame customer for choosing the only option available (non-tracked). Finally thanks for answering what I need to know. So I will wait this return/refund to try the tracked option again. I'm checking local customs everyday (with an app) to see if somenthing arrive with my tax pay number (CPF) nothing arrived so far.

You specifically selected our low-cost and slow UNTRACKED mail shipping service for a shipment to Brazil. This is probably why your delivery is taking some time and you (obviously) don't have the ability to track it. Had you paid the slightly higher price for tracked mail or courier delivery then you would know where it is, and it would probably have been delivered by now. As we believe that you have to pay local taxes for imports into Brazil, and that these are often linked to the tracking number, then your selection of a non-tracked delivery may also be affecting your ability to pay import tax on this shipment - which will either further delay it, or cause it to be returned to us due to non-payment of tax. When / if we have it back we will let you know immediately. We make it VERY clear on the checkout page of our website that we don't recommend customers use a non-tracked delivery service, and you should only do so if you understand the risks and service degradation caused by it. Obviously all our fault though - so in light of this, we've now removed the ability to ship ANY parcels to Brazil using a low cost mail shipping service, and future shipments MUST be tracked mail or courier delivery.
** Concerning the accusation of lying in our response: Please check delivery options carefully for Brazil, as subsequent to your experience we have removed all untracked options for deliveries to Brazil - which means that previously you had chosen the cheapest option of "Mail Non-tracked Delivery - Small Parcel <500g" - which we have now removed. So the ONLY option available for shipments such as yours now are Tracked deliveries - this is shown as "Mail Tracked Delivery - Small Parcel <500g". Anyone who wishes to can check this by placing a portafilter into their basket and heading to checkout, and selecting Brazil as the delivery country. Please check your facts before making false accusations.
** Bruno, please just accept that you made a mistake in using untracked shipping and move on. This person ordered a portafilter from us a few hours before you did, on the same day, and selected a TRACKED shipping service to Brasil. Take a look at tracking for LE472061668GB - it shipped on 12th September and was delivered on 20th September by Correios Brasil. We certainly haven't just added Tracked shipping, we've just removed untracked shipping.
** I give up - you continue to edit your 'review' when you just made a simple mistake but don't seem able to accept it, and you continue to push the blame for the situation onto us. FINAL WORD: Due to you selecting the untracked shipping service, I'd guess that you'll be unable to pay local taxes and the shipment will be returned to us. This can take a few weeks. Once it arrives back with us we'll refund the order product value to your original payment method ASAP and we'll notify you via email once this has happened.
