The service is so poor in the Bletchley…

The service is so poor in the Bletchley takeaway shop, none of them behind the counter know how to serve, or speak English speaking in Arabic in an angry manner. They don’t greet nor understand that the food needs to be made according to the menu. Visited there yesterday 29/5/26 at 7pm with a guy with curly hair behind the counter, who didn’t know how to operate the till and decided to get annoyed with the customers and me as it was busy, he also decided to shame me front of the full busy shop as he couldn’t follow a simple pre-order. The chips are not fresh, it’s heated up after being fried, the wraps are overfilled with sauce dripping down it, also they have runny watery salad and no dips or choice of drink that are on the menu. I would be surprised if that is open in 6 months time. I would not be returning again. It’s disgusting. A lot Arabs shouting at each other and customers. Also they can’t follow a simple pre-order as have, the shop has only been open for 2 weeks all the positive feedback back is fake or paid or by their own relatives.

To the store manager at shahs Bricklane…

To the store manager at shahs Bricklane
I just want to take a moment to share my experience at Shahs Bricklane Food Joint and express my heartfelt gratitude to Naidur, the branch manager, and Hasan, the crew member. They are truly amazing people who showed incredible character and kindness that I’ll never forget.
Naidur, you are a superstar! Your leadership and caring attitude made us feel so welcome and special. You went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and you treated everyone with respect and kindness. It’s clear that you genuinely care about your customers and your team, and that’s something really rare and beautiful. You made us feel like family, and I’ll always remember how you made us smile even when things might have been tough.
Hasan, even though I heard some negative things, I want everyone to know that you are a kind and hardworking person. The incident with the influencer was not fair, and I believe it was just a misunderstanding. From my experience, you were friendly, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. Sometimes, people just misunderstand each other, but I know your character is good, and I truly appreciate how you treated us with respect and kindness. You went out of your way to take care of us, and that means a lot.
What really touched me was how the whole team at Shahs Bricklane Food Joint treated us like we were important. They didn’t just see us as customers; they saw us as people who matter. They were willing to do anything to cater to the twins’ needs, and that shows true compassion and dedication. It’s rare to find such genuine people who care so much, and I want everyone to know that these people are the real deal.
I highly recommend Shahs Bricklane Food Joint to my family and friends because they are not just about food; they are about making people feel loved and appreciated. Their kindness and character are what make this place special. I will definitely come back and tell everyone I know to visit because they truly deserve it.
Thank you so much for everything. You guys are the best, and I will always remember the kindness you showed us.
With lots of gratitude and love
B

DODGY customer service

I had some late lunch at Shah's Halal Food chain at the Balham pop-up branch.

92a Balham Road
London, Greater London, SW12 9AG

I ordered 1 regular chips with lamb on top and the green chilli sauce for £7.99

First of all I was charged £8.00. I understand it's only 1 penny, but if a business advertises £7.99 they need to charge £7.99 – If you want to charge £8.00, change the signage. It's a principle. He lied to me saying that there is other signage “over there”.

But the big issue was. the sales man asked me if I'd like some chicken with it, which I declined. But he kept offering saying, it's really nice lamb with chicken, which I found odd that he offered. I asked if he is out of lamb, he said "no" but that chicken with lamb is nicer. He was very annoying, kept asking if I'd like chicken with it.

I made the mistake to finally give in as I didn't have much time. Never had an issue like this anywhere, and will never make that mistake again.

When I sat down I saw RICE with chicken. I immediately suspected he snuck me a dish he already had made ready before I even ordered.

Without touching it, I returned it and said I ordered CHIPS with the lamb.

He made a new dish, asked if I want chicken as if to pretend to do the original annoying offer, but I declined.

I believe he had a SPARE rice chicken dish left, which someone might have ordered but has not picked up and he wanted to sneak it to me so he has no food waste to report at the end of the day.

I worked in hospitality all my life and know these types of games.

I will never return to any of their Shah's Halal Food businesses/branches nor any type of business like this where the barrier is so high, customers cannot see food handling, and god knows what else they do behind the barrier you can't see.

It's unacceptable to treat customers like we're idiots. I threw half the food in the toilet inside before giving the staff the empty package as there are no bins.

First and last time I use this or any type of Halal food place, especially when they're only run by men and with high blocked barriers unable to see food handling.

First and last time.
