Written by the company

We started Shammy Shack in 2010 as we wanted to bring colour to the world of hockey. We were the first company in the world to provide five different coloured over grips and now you have the choice of over 50, still the largest anywhere on the planet. Talking about the planet - As parents we want to safeguard the environment. We recycle as much as possible and are striving to be plastic free by the middle of 2019. We don't use product packaging and have implemented a walk to post scheme. Hockey players like us have a great reputation for fair play. We try and emulate this at Shammy Shack by not charging too much for postage and packing and keeping product prices as low as possible. If you don't receive your order for some reason we will replace it without moaning, something we try and do when the umpire's decision goes against us. We are always looking at ways to improve and innovate, if you have any ideas we'd love to hear from you. What's coming up? Well that would be telling but we do have some exciting things in the pipeline.

Hi Tony, thank you for your review. We have just restocked so hopefully most of the products will be available. Unfortunately we are at the whims of the international market place so sometimes some colours aren't available.

Gone Bust or a Scam

My daughter ordered a grip.2 weeks ago. No product and no communication. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. They are really poor or have gone bust.!!

We haven't gone bust but did have some technical issues earlier in the year which have now been resolved.

Beware they take your money and you get no goods

I think this must be a scam. Paid for a new grip 2.5 weeks ago and it was supposed to arrive in 2-3 days.

Emails to Shammy shack go unanswered and the phone line doesn't seem to be answered either.

Will be pursuing recovery of my money through Shopify complaints and my bank.

Faced issues - eventually fixed.

Complete scam! Avoid!

Ordered two items, they only sent one, and then continued to ignore me when I tried to get in contact with them.

EDIT: I finally managed to get in contact via phone as they were ignoring emails. Thankfully, guy on the phone was very apologetic and helpful and offered to rectify the issue. The product itself is good, but customer service has been generally lacking.
