Caution advised with returns and refunds

I ordered 3 items that were good quality. 2 items did not fit so I wrote an email to ask about returns. I was assured that returns and refunds were no problem. I paid for the return postage myself which is fair enough and I received an email saying that the had received it. After no refund came, I contacted the company by email and was told that they never received the package and they asked for more information. I sent the information immediately and have not heard anything since then, over a week ago. I just contacted PayPal to report the problem. It's a shame because the quality of the products seem good but no-one needs this kind of hassle. I am wondering if I will ever see my refund. Caution is advised.

Check your returns

Be careful with returns. I almost didn't notice that they hadn't refunded the entire order. They claimed one item was missing. Luckily the track and trace showed the parcel weight was the same when sent to me as when returned.

I reached out to the company and they refunded the extra item. They first said they had found the item and a week later sent another email saying they'd reviewed the cctv footage and hadn't found it but would refund anyway as a sign of goodwill.

I do remember there being a duplicate item in the parcel and I imagine what happened is someone sent me two of one item instead of another item and then when returned it looked like an item was missing. I'd recommend the company add a return form where customers can note why they are returning because I could've bored the duplicate item there. Mistakes happen when shipping things.

Unfair Refund Policy and Low Quality

I purchased two products from Shapetape, but they were completely unusable because they were too visible under clothing and had poor quality. I returned them in their original condition, expecting a refund.

However, they later emailed me, claiming they could not refund me because of a "hole" in the product. When I asked for proof, they sent a picture showing a defect that was clearly from production, not from use—in fact, when I first received the product, I thought it was part of the design! Despite pointing this out, they refused to refund me.

Now, they have both my money and the returned products. On top of that, returning the items cost me €7, which was not mentioned anywhere. So, in the end, I paid for the products, paid for the return, and got absolutely nothing in return.

Beware of this company—they are not transparent about return costs, and they look for excuses to force you pay for useless products. I strongly recommend avoiding them.

UPDATE: After sending several emails, I got finally refunded.

When we receive a defective item which is not reported upon receipt of the item, we assume that it has happened during the use of our item. After you indicated that this did not happen by you we also gave you the benefit of the doubt and refunded the item neatly.
