I had Sharps make a logo for my husband's car transport business. As we were just starting out we didn't have the budget to redo and redo the logo so we needed it perfect 1st time. sharps delivered. we love it and it was at a very decent price too. in the process of getting our website commissioned with them now, cant wait to see the results.

It took 18 months of hassling to…

It took 18 months of hassling to finally complete our company website.
After paying over £1,800 for the website, which include a years GTS.( A service which would allegedly get our company to the top of all search listings) they wanted a further payment to continue with GTS, even though it had taken over a year to build the website and we had not used the service.
With no confidence in Sharps media, we finally requested the website files to transfer them to our preferred hosting company. Sharps media instead on a further charge of £200 for this. The reason given was that it would take "hours and hours" to prepare the files. After paying, we were sent the files in under half an hour.
I can only describe the staffs behaviour as shambolic. The buck is passed around the office from person to person. The directors, who are apparently, "rarely in the office" will not take calls or responsibility for their companies horrendous service. It seems that dealing with disgruntled customers such as me is just part of daily life.

Horrendous experience from start to finish
Took me for nearly a grand and I was left with nothing
Loads of stress, appalling customer service and a constant hard sell

Hope they go out of business or someone takes them to court

I’m looking into reporting them to correct authorities

Please do not even consider them

I got talked into a few purchases and took me months and months to get nowhere, I didn’t even get a full refund

Sharps Media Group complaint

I purchased (or thought I had purchased) 3 domain names with landing pages for a total of £700. The landing pages where supposed to point to my website.
Typing in the domain names resulted in blank or error pages, so when I was contacted at renewal and told I had to pay £50 per name per year to host the names, I naturally refused.
When I went on the Whois website and checked, 2 of the names where available for purchase for $9.99 each, indicating that they hadnt even purchased the names themselves.
This company has properly pulled the wool over my eyes and are impossible to contact by phone.
DO NOT TRUST THIS OUTFIT

Best Avoided

They rang a client of mine ten times today telling him that his website was going to be closed down (it wasn't and they have nothing to do with the domain, hosting or site). They have tried a similar tactic on another client of mine. They are trying to sell domain names. A company that uses tactics like this should be avoided.

Oh dear

Oh dear, it appears I’m not the only one to have experience their shocking service. Paid £600+ for 2 websites which I’ve never got even though I’ve also paid for hosting 6 months later and still waiting and now they’ve blocked my email address!! Fraudsters!!! Will be letting the police deal with it now, as they have also put the phone down on us.

The worst experience ever! Sharps Digital / Sharps Media Group / Sharps Online

We were first contacted by a sales person for this company early 2018. They were offering us a domain name for sale which we declined on several occasions. However, the pestering did not stop and the arguments became more persuasive, so in the end we agreed to purchase a domain name which also included in the price, a satellite website to be designed by them. They claimed that this would hugely benefit our presence on the internet and even showed us some examples of other sites. I called one of these previous clients who confirmed they had done the work some time before, but said nothing more.

After the purchase, we were promised that the domain would be transferred into our name within days, but this did not happen. We called and emailed numerous times speaking to various members of staff including the salesman, a senior manager and other staff about the transfer not taking place.

Week in and week out we were promised that the domain would be transferred to us. It became very stressful and unpleasant. At one point we asked them to simply refund our money and forget about the transfer, so eventually they transferred it into our name. By all accounts, it sounds like we got lucky here as we have since seen reviews on Google for others that had similar problems and ended up having to pay even more fees.

We were given completion date for the satellite site and again this date came and went and yet again getting cooperation from Sharps Media Group (aka Sharps Digital) was a nightmare. Repeatedly promises were made that the satellite site that we already paid for would be completed. There was always a new excuse and we were handed from one person to the next.

We have given up on having the satellite website. All we have is the domain we purchased and it certainly is not worth what they charged us for it in the absence of the site they were going to build to drive more traffic to us.

If they contact you for anything - RUN, don't walk, RUN in the opposite direction. That is the only advice I can give anybody thinking of dealing with Sharps Digital / Sharps Media Group. I tried to find reviews about them before buying the domain and found nothing either here on Trustpilot or in Google. It is my hope that this review may help someone else avoid a similar fate.

Please note that I have been asked to email the same person using both a SharpsDigital.co.uk and SharpsMediaGroup.co.uk email address. It is one and the same company.

UPDATE SINCE SHARPS REPLY:

I have paid to have the domain transferred myself to avoid losing possession of it altogether, as I was told that companies like yours often resell the domains from underneath customers. Your offer is somewhat late and frankly disingenuous. Interesting there is no offer to complete the site you were paid to do. Readers of this review can draw their own conclusions.
