I have given this business so much grace. I have to be honest, my two salon experiences were so good hence wanting to go back, but since then... shambles.

I was contacted the night before an appointment due to sickness. These things can't be helped, I was understanding and more than patient. I asked for the wig I had sent via post beforehand to be returned - even suggested I collect it....(a solid 80 mile round trip) so that I could go elsewhere before my holiday in 2 days. No response at all! When I eventually got a response I was met with excuses, rudeness and unprofessionalism. I got it back a month later, with no reimbursement for postage as previously advised. Fast forward a year or so later - decided to give them another go. I ordered a unit, eventually got it two months later. Again, no contact, impossible to get ahold of anyone. No genuine apologies. I'm disgusted in the lack of professionalism. I could write more, but this review alongside others I have seen on here provides a broad enough insight into this business. Extremely disappointed, it is so hard to find good consistent black hair salons.

Awful experience with Shea Styles.
I saw she was advertising some wigs on Instagram at the end of Sept 2024. I placed an order, sent £200 via bank transfer and I was told the wig would be ready from 14th Oct and the next day she confirmed she received my payment. A week went by and I didn't hear anything, having sent it by bank transfer I was a little worried and was hoping to receive an invoice or some confirmation of what I'd paid for so I sent a message and on the 1st Oct I was told it was all good and it would be sent in a few weeks.
14th October arrived and no wig. I saw on her Instagram her and the team had been unwell so I left it until 21st Oct when I messaged to ask when the wig would be delivered. I was told it would be sent on 29th Oct and she informed me they had been ill and therefore they were behind - no apology!
On the 30th the wig had still not arrived, Friday 1st Nov and still, no wig. At this point I'd missed both the occasions I wanted the wig for. I emailed and was told the package number is saying it won't show until delivery has been attempted, she said she would contact Royal Mail on Monday. I emailed Monday to ask what Royal Mail said and to explain I want a refund, her response was that they said they would try and track the parcel and it would be 48 hours. Thursday I contacted and she said Royal Mail had found the parcel and they will issue me a refund.
The whole experience was awful, her customer service was non existent, she only apologised after I brought it to her attention that I had missed my occasions. I found her rude, dismissive and not willing to help. Truth be told I don't even think she ever made/sent the wig. If I hadn't emailed since the day the wig was meant to be sent I honestly believe she would still have my wig and my money. Very disappointing experience but enough for me to never try and purchase from this business again. If you take the chance to purchase I would be very very careful.

I am incredibly disappointed with my experience with this company. I placed an order and despite the promised delivery date of 4-weeks/ 3- 5 days delivery. It has been just a little over 2 months and I still have not received my order.

To make matters worse, there has been absolutely no communication from the seller regarding the status of my order. I've reached out multiple times through [email/phone/chat], but I’ve received no response or explanation for the delay. It feels like they are just ignoring their customers!

However I contacted the bank to try and get my money back, and interestingly enough a few days later someone got in touch, quite cheekily and gave me a blunt apology and a bunch of excuses as to why I did not get my order, knowing damn well it hadn't even been processed yet.

I strongly advise others to avoid purchasing from this company. Save yourself the hassle and buy from a company that actually values its customers.

Amazing customer service! I had a treatment done, she was so polite & welcoming. She also made sure she talked me through every step of the way as it was my first time getting a treatment. I left with my hair feeling brand new, would absolutely recommend !!! I will definitely be back

Absolute joke customer service is none existent, many people claim to never have received their wigs and she still believes she’s the best hairstylist it a shame she does have potential but lacks communication and customer service skills.

Customer service is a highly important factor for me when purchasing

Purchase lace cleanser in August despite sending emails and direct messaging on Instagram I’m still waiting for my cleanser. After complaining I received lace glue which I didn’t order and was also cheaper than the cleanser this company just takes people money and shows off herself on Instagram with peoples money she’s stolen don’t spend your money with this company AVOID !!!!

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

They take your money and don’t dispatch anything. Absolute fraud of a company. Doesn’t respond to emails or DMs. Please keep your hard earned money.

Avoid by all means, i placed an order over 2 months ago, never heard back despite trying to reach from various platforms, all emails ignore. i simply raised a dispute with my bank and received my funds back, two months later she is challenging the dispute knowing very well the order was never even processed, i wish had actually read the reviews prior to avoid such inconvenience.

First time I ordered from sheastyles UK it took over a week before my items were sent out, baring in mind it says 1-2 working days for orders to be processed/shipped...for which you pay for, its not free shipping..ALL my messages ignored! Insta, email. Eventually I got it my items. Fast forward a year layer, and I've gone to purchase the same items...why is it 1 week since I ordered and nothing has been sent out?? I messaged on insta, no response, sent an email, no response...I just opened a dispute via my bank and got an immediate refund! I will NEVER return to this vendor. And they say, Support black business, but how can you when the service is so poor, stinking nonchalant attitudes. Better off buying from China.

ABSOLUTELY LYING COW SENT ME FAKE TRACKING DETAILS WAS TOTALLY RUDE TO ME ITS BEEN 3 Weeks STILL STILL NO WIG AND STILL NO REFUND CONTACTING MY BANK TO DISPUTE PAYMENT DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR ENERGY ON THESE CON STYLISTS!!!!!

If I could give less than one star I would.

Zero communication. 8 weeks on (but meant to be 2-4), no wig and no refund. £400 basically stolen.

Update: After complaining and asking for a refund I received tracking information which turned out to be fake. The wig still didn’t arrive despite being ‘shipped’. Filed dispute with the bank and managed to get my money back in the end.

DO NOT USE!

Bought my 5th wig from Shea and yet again hasn’t failed me. I was even offered an complimentary install as a thanks from the owner herself. I even asked if my order could be rushed and I received an phone call confirming when I would reduce the order.

Absolutely amazing service!! My third visit and the customer service always remains top tier. I have purchased several glueless products which have cut my install time in half and leave flawless finishes. Absolutely love💕

I wouldn’t purchase any products or services from this company. Customer service is poor they / she Disney respond to email or calls 8 weeks on I still do not have my products and there is no update technically this is theft .

Do not waste your time purchasing anything as it will not be received customer service extremely poor. Would not pay or do business ever again

Truly enjoyable experience. The service was amazing and the shop is aesthetically pleasing. They paid great attention to detail from suttle things such as personalised water bottles. Now, let's get into the actual products. Rhe wig was installed and styled perfectly. I've already got my next appointment booked.

This company is very unprofessional and the communication is very, very poor. They do not respond back to your emails. I got my wig after waiting for 7 weeks and for the price, the hair looks very cheap and had a hole at the front lace. I do not recommend this company what you see on Instagram and on their website is all fake and misleading.

Well I’ve been a long-standing client of Shea since before the business started. You couldn’t ask for a more professional, perfectionist to bring your hair/wig to life😍 so let me say I’d recommend this wigologist/stylist to the world #CelebStylist #WhatWig?

Company uses fake followers and the tiny fraction of customers that they have treat right to back her that are manipulated. Communication poorer than poor

Awful awful awful customer service, I have placed an order with this company after finding them on instagram. Thinking they'd be able to provide a decent service. I'm sad to say it has been far from it, they do not pick up phone calls, answer DMs or respond to emails so save yourself the hassle and conduct business with someone reputable and professional because Shea Styles is not it!
