The dress fit me like a glove! I feel so empowered, confident and sexy whenever I put her on!! No shapewear lines to worry about, no fixing myself throughout the day. Love! Can’t wait for more colors.

Sometimes SIMPLE is best. This dress makes it easy. It’s a travel fav. With so many variables on the go and the desire to pack light it’s a must for every trip.

I finally purchased my first SHEER dress after seeing and hearing about this incredible black dress from friends and on social media and I am totally blown away. It’s everything they say it is and more. I’m a 55 year old woman and usually wear a size 10-12 which is large on their size chart but usually my biggest problem with other brands is finding a dress that can look and feel flattering around my belly “muffin top” area after having 3 children and age doing it’s thing, my body has changed over the years and finding good quality clothing that actually look and feel good on too can be a challenge. So many brands over promise and under deliver. But SHEER and their perfect black dress actually deliver! First, the fabric is so nice and feels very luxurious. You can tell they use premium quality materials. Second, the inside liner is SO MUCH BETTER than regular shapewear, which for me was always embarrassing and beyond uncomfortable to wear under other dresses. The way they have their solution built inside the dress as another compressive layer to the dress is brilliant, and you don’t get those unflattering visible shapewear lines that would typically dig into your thighs and waist! Third, I love that the style is so simple and versatile. This black dress is timeless and will never go out of style. Lastly, I FEEL INCREDIBLE IN IT!!! If you’re looking for the best little black dress in the game, this is it ladies. Totally worth the investment.

All I can say is WOW!!!! I ordered this dress excited about everything it said it offered but when I finally received it and put it on I never felt better!! This dress is what every woman needs. It grabs you in all the right places. I’m obsessed. It’s also so versatile. I can make it casual or dress it up with a blazer or coat. I get so many compliments when I wear it. I feel like an absolute queen!!! Thank you Sheer the brand! You have fulfilled a woman’s needs and wants with this dress.

The little black dress of my dreams! My first though after putting this dress on was how quickly it transformed my body. Any insecurity I had about my stomach or hips disappeared! I wear this dress everywhere and couldn’t be happier!

I was so pleased with how confident I felt putting on this dress! The inner shapewear layer is super comfortable since it's already inside the dress (no wedgies or wearing a bunch of layers underneath). this is truly an innovative garment and love that it's female owned and operated. I love my new favorite little black dress! The fabric is comfortable and breathable. It’s sexy for a night out and can be dressed up with a blazer for work. I’m curvy through the hips and it accentuates my curves beautifully. Wearing it totally brings out my inner badass. There’s truly nothing I can’t accomplish in this dress! No matter what shape you have it’s sexy!

I just ordered my 3rd Sculpting Dress. I am a customer for life. Both the Mini and Midi dress are THE perfect little black dress. Every time I wear either of them I feel like a goddess. Thank you, Sheer!

Just received my dress! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! The support is no joke! I’m 5’8 and am a real hourglass. I ordered the XL Midi length and def had to do that special “wiggle-wiggle pull-tug” (aka the support wear hustle 😂) but once on… I would say I EASILY looked almost 2 sizes down! *Note the “Ladies” were still in a nice place and shape and weren’t smushed or “uniboobed.”
Material is quality+ … the dress “slip/lining” is magic.
I also ordered a large as I can wear a range from a 10 to a 14 normally … I haven’t tried the large on as it was a little work to get the XL on.
This leaves me with a thought to size up a little? Perhaps SHEER can chime in.
I definitely feel the dress has a luxe feel rather than that of “fast fashion.”

Amazing fit. Such a versatile find! I can wear it day or night.

I purchased the Sheer sculpting midi dress. I love everything about this brand and product. Female founded. Superb quality. An everyday item that solves a real problem. It’s not for everybody - and that’s fair - but I don’t agree with some of the reviews on here. The bottom line is, you need to read a company’s return policy before you purchase. I love my Sheer sculpting dress and wear it religiously. It’s my go-to black dress for work or going out. I feel confident, supported, and beautiful in this dress. It is a bit of an investment - but totally worth it! My experience with the brand was wonderful and I would absolutely recommend splurging on this investment piece.

Ultimately this company gave me a refund but it required a back and forth in writing, threats to report them for consumer protection violations, and posting negative reviews to receive such refund. The dress arrived with unfinished seaming in the interior lining (I provided a photograph). It was also too small. The company requires returns within 14 days of the SHIPPING date. I sent a request for a return label and refund. They delayed a response until I was outside of the return window timing. They did respond after I followed up on my request. Sheer initially refused to give me a refund (only offered an exchange) because they had the gall to blame me for unfinished seams— not tears or stretching but unfinished seaming that had not been sewed. After I pushed back, and posted negative reviews (my review on their website didn’t ever seem to post), I received a grudging refund — and it was on condition of me taking down my original review, which they repeatedly emailed me to do. I’ve now removed the original review and written this one to reflect the refund I received. At this price point, both the quality and customer service were ultimately subpar. For an online clothing company to have such a strict and short return policy seems predatory, again in light of the price point. If they update their return policy and customer service experience, maybe this is a company you should consider. I will never purchase from them again.

The dress is overrated. There's nothing different about this dress when compared to any other shapewear. I thought I was shopping in New Zealand dollars and that was expensive enough, but it was actually USD so I paid a lot more than I would have, had I known.

I sent a query through their contact page to request a return and received no response. I contacted them through their chat window and was told to email them. I'll update this review, depending on the response I receive.

I do NOT want to be stuck with this overpriced dress which does not do what it promises.

They really need to use models who have realistic stomachs, instead of busty women with large hips and small waists. Of course this dress will look great on them, but that's not my shape.
