Dissapointed at this restaurant
I visited Shere Khan with my family recently, and I honestly cannot understand how this restaurant justifies its prices or reputation.
From the starters to the mains, almost everything was below standard. The lamb chops were badly overcooked, burnt around the edges, incredibly tough and full of oil. They were so chewy that they were difficult to eat. The seekh kebabs tasted processed and lacked the flavour and texture you'd expect from freshly prepared food.
For the main course, we had the lamb bhuna and chicken jalfrezi, and both were incredibly disappointing. They were bland, lacked any real spice or depth of flavour, and tasted as though very little care had gone into preparing them. Even the portion sizes were miserly considering the premium prices being charged.
The biggest disappointment, however, was the attitude towards customers. When concerns were raised about the quality of the food, the manager showed little interest in listening. Rather than acknowledging the issues or trying to make things right, our comments were brushed aside with an attitude that came across as dismissive and sarcastic. It felt as though once they had taken our money, they simply didn't care.
For a restaurant that promotes itself as a high-end dining destination, the overall experience was nowhere near the standard expected. High prices should come with high-quality food, generous portions and professional customer service. Unfortunately, this restaurant delivered none of those.
There are countless independent restaurants that genuinely value their customers, prepare fresh, flavour-packed food and work hard to earn their reputation. They deserve your support far more than places like this.
Sadly, I left feeling disappointed, frustrated and wishing we'd chosen somewhere else. I certainly won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable meal or value for money. Save yourself the disappointment and spend your money somewhere that truly appreciates its customers.
