I had a great 20-minute interview with Sherpa today and was really impressed by how smooth and welcoming the process was. The interviewer was friendly, professional, and put me at ease straight away. Everything was clear and well-structured, which made the whole experience stress-free. It left me with a very positive impression of Sherpa and excited about the opportunity to work with them!

Vicki made everything very easy and clear to follow. She explained all the procedures I will need to be aware of. A deonstration of the Sherpa Whiteboard used for lessons was given and all the functions shown. She was more than happy to give a newcomer general advice on taking on students and pricing.

My onboarding experience with Sherpa was fantastic thanks to Vicky. She was very welcoming and friendly, and explained everything clearly step by step, which made the whole process easy to follow. Vicky answered all my questions and made me feel confident about getting started. I really appreciated how approachable and supportive she was — a brilliant introduction to Sherpa!

Esalan has taught all 3 of my kids, my second child has just received her GCSE results and achieved 9s in both English language and literature, with a distinction in language. She has been taught by Esalan for 2 years. Before she started with Esalan she consistently got 6s in both literature and language, however with Esalans help she steadily increased her grades, achieving a 7 and 9 in her year 11 mocks. Esalan has been a great help, she has checked and marked my daughters practice essays, giving her feedback on her strengths and targets, going through each essay in great detail to ensure my daughter knows exactly what she could improve on to achieve higher marks.
She is still teaching my 3rd child, me and both my children would strongly recommend Esalan to all the parents looking to improve their child’s English language and literature understanding, exam techniques, grades and finally using the English language and literature for communication and wider uses in the professional and social life proficiently

My son studied with Harry M for GCSE Triple Science and he learnt a lot from him! His wisdom and expertise was extremely beneficial for my son's exams in not just the subject content but also tips for answering exam questions. He would ensure that my son understands the content in one way or another. We cannot recommend Harry enough! Although, the classroom experience could be improved a little. For example, the random glitches when a text box is created. However it doesn't disrupt the learning too much!

Tahidur was an excellent tutor - my son decided to do GCSE maths a year early and made the decision to do so at the beginning of the year. He had a whole year’s worth of content to get through from Jan - June in order to be ready for the exam.

Tahidur got through the entire Year 11 content in two months with my son, leaving him plenty of time to revise, and he got a 9!! Tahidur had a very nice teaching style and explains everything very well. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome, thanks a million Tahid!

Naomi provided great support to my daughter during the last 6 months of her A level Business study. During the introductory session she took time to understand her needs to ensure there was a good match with her skills. The lessons were planned around the areas my daughter wanted to focus on and over time she grew in confidence in all areas of the subject. The end exam result was two grades above her mock result, which was brilliant and therefore we would recommend Sherpa.

Increased commission to 30%. This was without any consultation with tutors and refused to negotiate - this is far higher than other platforms. Tutors had spent years building up a reputation only to have to leave the platform. Even decided to charge us for their payment system. Outrageous! Avoid like the plague!

Rebecca was a huge support over the brief time she tutored our daughter. Her patience and professionalism extended in helping us use the website. The time given was very generous. Whatever the outcome our daughter learned from you and had a very positive input. You make a difference with your enthusiasm and energy. We shall be in touch come results time. I employed Sherpa to support my son's extra lessons during his GCSEs, and honestly speaking, it was the best decision I made. Sherpa understood my son's needs, and they spent time with me to understand where my son was facing difficulties in his subjects, and offered me several introductory tutorials free for my son to decide which tutors best met his needs, understanding and, more importantly kept my son engaged, so please do not delay, if you have children doing exams next year, now is the time to contact Sherpa so they can asses your child's GCSE needs ... with schools not able to offer 1 to 1 support in large classes, its important to ensure that you have tutors to support your child at home too.

GCSE Latin - Kerry, fantastic teacher, really hands-on, incredibly knowledgeable, we were very lucky that Kerry stepped in, really helped my son get through his Latin Exams, and my son did well in his exam - I rate her 5 stars
GCSE Physics - Ross was able to guide my son for both Paper 1 & 2, my son enjoyed taking his exams, thanks to Ross. I rate him 5 stars
GCSE Chemistry & Biology - Ross C is a great tutor/examiner with a relaxed personality that my son connected with. You will be lucky if he is free to teach; he is very popular. I rate him 5 stars.

My son is on the special needs register and has Autism and SPD. His mainstream secondary school said his special needs were not "special enough" for them to be able to give him extra support through SEND. He was resistant to me helping him and primary school was one long, huge battle. After his SATs I was told he'd never achieve grades high enough in the core subjects to go to college. So in secondary school I had to help somehow. Enter tutor platforms and my credit card... Absolutely worth every penny. With the help of this (and other tutor platforms, I tried a few) he passed his GCSEs with flying colours and is now at college, following his dreams. Sherpa offers quality tutors at affordable prices. Worth trying different ones I think... Not because I found any "bad" tutors, far from it, but because kids respond to different styles and different people differently. I'd recommend the tutors on here in a heartbeat. Unsung heroes!

Andrew M is a wonderful History tutor. He was very easy to communicate with and was also prepared before each lesson. He really helped me boost my confidence with essay writing and improved my marks greatly. I would highly recommend Andrew.

Twice I have had a disaster with this school, two times in a row I have been blocked so that I cannot access messages and reservations, and the biggest disaster today is that I could not access the lessons link, my children have GCSE exams tomorrow and I was not able to log in at all or in any way to my account and my messages and reservations were disabled and my children could not access the lessons from any device and they missed the lessons because of the school’s negligence, lack of responsibility and lack of concern for the interests of the students. My children did not take the lessons today and they have exams tomorrow and with all impudence the lessons were deducted from my bank card. And because it is the end of the week, communications with the school are closed and no one answers the emails or the phone number. You should feel ashamed for trying to destroy the students’ future in this ugly and shameful way
