Quick, professional and friendly
All that’s good about the NHS

I have just started using SHL, but I can say they're 100 percent discreet and reliable, the delivery and pick up service of the test kit is top notch and the response from the staffs and follow up are very good.

I had to take an Excel Assessment and it was absolutely terrible. I didn’t understand some of the wording (question), the font & icons were small, being timed even the practice question was timed along with the actual test questions. The excel menu was missing menu options. You had to search throughout the menus to find what you needed but that’s time lost. Very disappointing. I was very frustrated and didn’t finish. Too stressful and has no impact on my skills and ability to do the job especially with many years of experience.

I was applying with a company and went to their website and did a practice test then immediately after the company I was applying with sent me an email that I'm no longer being considered for the position. SHL.com is not to be trusted because of this and after reading other reviews the same things happened to me. And they ask for all of your private information just to take a practice test and it says optional, but if you say prefer not to say it will not let you practice anymore and then will tell the company you have applied with you failed the test!

I’ve been using this service for years and I can not be more pleased. Always quick and attentive. They assist and guide you at all times. I wish this service existed everywhere.

I found the service to be very quick and efficient. The communication was also excellent. Plus, the website itself was incredibly easy to navigate and use.

I recently completed an SHL assessment as part of a job application, and I was extremely disappointed. The tests had almost nothing to do with the actual role I was applying for. Instead of evaluating relevant skills, the assessment focused on abstract puzzles and exercises that felt completely disconnected from the job requirements.

On top of that, the time constraints were ridiculous. You’re essentially forced to rush through complex questions with barely any time to think, which ends up measuring how fast you can click—NOT your real abilities. It felt more like a speed-drill game than a professional evaluation.

Overall, the experience was frustrating, irrelevant, and definitely not a fair reflection of my skills. I wouldn’t recommend this assessment process to anyone.

Truly an easy and smooth experience. They are super helpful at giving you information and advice on where to get assistance or help. Definitely helps you keep track of your sexual health!

Honestly I have to praise these guys. Very smooth service, the communication is great, getting information is easy and they support you all along the way. From the order of home test kit throughout treatment if it's needed. You can always see your results and records, which helps you a lot with tracking your history.
The way they work for you and with you helps to remove the stigma from STIs, they are compassionate and empathetic, so your shame disappears in no time and testing is going to be the part of your regular routine without any fuss.

I can’t rate SHL high enough. Test kits through the door days after ordering, free postage, a text to say the results are ready. Incredibly efficient and hassle free!

As a fluent but non native English speaker, I often need to read twice, carefully, to ensure full understanding. Being asked to read, grasp the idea immediately, calculate, and draw graphs in just 1.5 minutes per exercise felt unrealistic. These weren’t simple questions, they were logic and math based exercises. While not necessarily difficult, even highly skilled individuals would need more time to complete them properly.

The test appeared to prioritize quick responses over a meaningful evaluation of relevant skills.

I love the SHL team Ive been using their services for years and they’re always quick and efficient! In my recent interaction with them I was helped massively by Sophia and Neil two lovely people who work for SHL and gave me ample support, advice and kindness :)

The practice tests can only be taken once and some of them don't provide any feedback so you don't know if you did well or not or what you can do to improve. You can't skip questions and come back to them later like you can during a pen and paper test or just about every other online test i've ever taken and there is no review period because they give you an insufficient amount of time to actually answer the questions. Their evaluation reports basically say you're stupid simply because you can't answer the questions in the time provided. In my opinion you are being evaluated based on how quickly you can answer the questions correctly, and not whether or not you know the correct answer to a question. If i come across another job interview which uses this system, i'm going to drop out immediately. This was not worth the days of practice and stress i need to go through just to pass the test and move on to the next round.
