Excellent Customer Service

I had an issue an issue with the game & the customer service representative (Stephanie) went above & beyond in communicating with me. She responded timely & did absolutely everything possible to resolve the issue. We bought a few of the games & they've been a big hit with the family...they're obsessed! I'm extremely satisfied in the response & will definitely buy from this company again.

The device itself is packed with basically every old school game you could imagine

The device itself is amazing packed with loads of amazing games from so many old devices I love it and the battery life doesn't last as long as they say but it lasts long enough to have a good amount of fun hours playing different games. I bought it mainly to play pokemon but I forgot about all the other amazing games it has on there too. My only issue is you can't really play the DS games on there very well because it's meant to be a split screen and this device only has one screen but other than that it's honestly an amazing product

Scam

I ordered mine over two weeks ago and still received. Tried to get in contact and nothing. Also never got confirmation email but money came out account.

Avoid at all costs

Difficult company to deal with j would avoid the handheld that came seemed ok but the instruction on how tk save the game did not match what you had tk do and had to do own research to figure it out the main problem game with huge delays and once the WiFi dongles came, they didn't work I dont expect to get my money back as they are very poor at responding to emails if at all. Unfortunately can't give less than 1 star

Update after there reply they just ignore you after dont expect a refund complete scap avoid at all cost if you are looking for a r36s game console go anywhere else but game lab 0* honestly one of the biggest disappointments

Do not buy

Edit/Update - received a full refund. It wasn't simple as I had to be very persistent through there social media channels until someone finally emailed me. There agent was polite and respectful however and my money was returned in an appropriate amount of time.

Original-
Ordered and payed for priority delivery. No communication since. Emailed both support@ and contact@ email addresses and received delivery failure. Will report to consumer standards and crimestoppers.

Same as everyone else

Same as everyone else. Ordered 2 and they have not showed up yet. I got a generic email about how it should be updating soon. Another week goes by and I email again only to receive the same exact email. It’s probably automated and not actually customer service.

I've tried contacting you via email several times but not had any responses and the phone number you have on the website is no longer available. Will try on here as you seem to respond to these messages. I placed my order on 17th Jan but still not had any confirmation as to when I will receive my goods.

Seems like a scam

I purchased 2 consoles 2 days apart near the end of January, paid for 3-10 day shipping, 2 days later I get emails saying my products have shipped.

Feb 3 or 4, I contact this business via email about why I was told it shipped, bc the products were still not sent to the delivery company.
I’m told on an email it takes 2 business days to process the order and another 7-15 business days to deliver. So why did you offer 3-10 shipping if you’re going to lie?

When I called them out on a Facebook post, they removed my post and limited me from seeing anything else they can post. Why not contact me and resolve the issues? Instead made it seem more like a scam.

It seems fishy, it shouldn’t take a month to get these 2 consoles. I really hope there’s a follow-up to this, bc I’ll be reporting this company to my bank, getting a refund and review bombing this on every platform I can to inform any buyers of this scam.

Horrible at customer service

Horrible at customer service , trying to contact them due to faulty product. The R36S they sell its a Clone, the extended warranty is all a scam when you cant contact them for help. Also there cost are to high, rather go to Aliexpress for the same console for way less. The original can be purchase from Aliexpress as well.

Product doesn't work

Delivery took a very long time and the product doesn't work. Turns on sometimes, but not reliably. Tried contracting them multiple times but I've never had a reply.

How do I contact gamelab? As I said, I've emailed the details on your website numerous times with no answer.

Was told order would be up to 15 days

Was told order would be up to 15 days. Paid extra for the shipping protection. Nearly 20 days later and no updates. Have emailed several times and been resoundingly ignored.
It seem reading previous reviews that if the product arrives, it’s largely positive however getting your order seems to be purely luck based. Can not recommend at all

Update:
Gamelab have responded here asking for my order number and details… I sent my order number and details in every single email I sent them. None the less I have now given them said details, again, here and will update with their response. Either way it’s now over a month post order on something that was only meant to take 15 days

My sons Christmas present…

I got my son one for Christmas and yes shipping wasn’t the quickest but it was also the holiday’s so you can’t blame them but when he got it he was so happy!!! The system is great and has great games he absolutely loves it and you can’t beat it for the price!!

Gamelab Sell Fakes Avoid Like The Plague

Ordered 2x Gamelab R36s consoles. One in transparent blue and the other in solid pink (not transparent). They arrived after about 4 weeks, however I watched some YouTube videos and they advise you copy the games onto a branded SD card Samsung or SanDisk.

Only what arrived wasn't the branded Gamelab devices they were just generic. The transparent blue was a 100% fake and we're not sure about the pink one. Apparently you can tell by plugging in the console and if a battery animation appears it's fake and taking a deep dive into a certain file .dtb file will tell you if it's a fake or not running some detection software.

The adverts show branded Gamelab consoles in Gamelab boxes.

I've contacted Customer Services and don't expect a resolution, so I'll try for a chargeback if don't get anywhere.

My advice is Google R36s wiki page and it tells you approved sellers on AliExpress.

have your money time and wonder.

I placed my order on January 2nd after the holiday rush to avoid the holiday rush back up. I placed my order and the transaction was authorized same day. tried to give Gamelab benefit of the doubt since we just passing the holidays. So I waited and a week has passed. no updates to the order page. no emails for confirmation or shipping nothing. by day 9 i sent an email telling them my disappointment and requesting a refund an i was met with a auto response saying my email didn't go threw. which then i got the support email from the site and sent a new email. this time it worked and it was January 12th at this point. Instead of receiving an apology and refund email. I was met with an email that contained a tracking number. that was given to me on the 12th. on the 22nd i emailed them again letting know my frustrations and again asked for a refund. I have not received an email back confirming or denying my request for a refund. the tracking number just shows me a Delivery status: Processing. and the last event says 2026-01-12 22:55:58 Shipment information received. not sure who this company is using for shipping. they say 7-15days for shipping and its already been 10 days since the shipping company received the information.

i know this was a shot in the dark. and the one thing i found funny is i got advertisement from "another company" selling the same product. i went to there side and thought hmm maybe see if my order number and tracking work. well sure enough it does. so now i dont even know if i should call them gamelab or retro.games.official. not sure what game they are playing at. if they have multiple company names, send the right product that is ordered? or what the deal is. but its beyond unprofessional of a company to play games like this.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - SCAMMERS

I bought one from these scammers and they dont even supply a genuine console but rather a cheap copy. Mine was faulty and they made it as difficult as possible and i had to jumo throigh hoops to finally get them to agree to refund me. There adverts are not true and are selling cheap copies. The customer service is none existent and anyone conaidering using them needs to avoid them at all costs.

Poor, Poor Customer Service!!

Still waiting for my order after the start of the New Year, tried contacting customer service through the contact email they said to use and I get absolutely no reply. The tracking information still states "parcel information received" from 9 days ago and haven't received an update since.

After paying the amount I have for the products themselves and the shipping protection and accessories on top of that, they are in no way meeting their service obligations at all and this seems to be very common among a lot of their customers. Given them 24 hours to respond to my email before I will be going through my bank to get a refund. They shouldn't be trading if they can't meet their service obligations.

Took over a month to arrive

Took over a month to arrive. The game list is very inaccurate, Most of the games don’t work or are missing or they crash, everything is put on a really cheap memory card that’s corrupt so you have to literally download and install the software and all the games again. Definitely not what’s advertised most big franchise games are missing Zelda, Mario, dk, Pokémon most, metal gear, nightmare creatures, silent hill, resident evil, only 15 of the 180 ps1 games work the company don’t seem to respond or offer any solution. Personally I wouldn’t waste you money on this. Such a shame as it has such great potential. EDIT: gamelab solved the issue by sending a new consloe
