🚨 Scam Alert

🚨 Scam Alert: Shopskey and Its Australian Representative 🚨

Shopskey — and the person leading their operations in Australia — are running what feels like a full-blown scam. I trusted them with three projects more than eight months ago, and each time they promised delivery in just two weeks. It’s been months of false promises, endless excuses, and complete disregard for professionalism.

Once they get your upfront payment, you’re forgotten. Calls are ignored, deadlines mean nothing, and they vanish until you chase them again. They have no respect for clients, no sense of accountability, and certainly no honesty in how they operate.

I’ve lost significant time, money, and business opportunities because of their negligence and deceit. I will be reporting Shopskey and its representatives to the ACCC, Scamwatch Australia, and every other relevant authority, because it’s unacceptable that they’re still allowed to operate in Australia.

It’s shameful and disgraceful to see companies like this preying on small business owners and startups who are simply trying to build something real. Please — do not engage with Shopskey. Save your money, your time, and your peace of mind.

Shopskey team

I have been working with Nancy from Shopskey, and she’s been an absolute delight on a professional level and also as a person. I love being able to communicate my ideas and to feel heard. She’s been very supportive throughout the process, and I’m very happy with the results from my project .

Terrible Service
Terrible experience. They said it would be done in 1 month but it took over 3 months and the website wasnt even complete. I was so annoyed I just had to pay them the money and i'll be getting it finished elsewhere.

Terrible Service

Terrible experience. They said it would be done in 1 month but it took over 4 months and the website wasnt even complete. I was so annoyed I just had to pay them the money and i'll be getting it finished elsewhere.

Many times I would tell them instructions and they wouldn't listen. I would have to tell them maybe 4 times before they would fix it properly and they would respond after like 4 days each time. So a simple fix such as removing an image from a banner would take 2 weeks somehow. Also the whole time it was like I was managing the project, there were so many mistakes and the designs just didn't look good so I constantly had to double check the website and go through it with a fine eye because there would be basic spelling mistakes and really bad graphics everywhere. SERIOUSLY, they had spelling mistakes EVERYWHERE, they misspelled "Available"....

I remember they would keep putting random shirts throughout the website designs. I told them it's weird to have random shirts that I dont sell featured throughout the website. Seriously how is this something I need to explain... I DONT SELL THOSE SHIRTS, they found them off google!!!! Why are you guys putting it in my website graphics?? I told them to stop doing it but the project manager got defensive. I told them to get rid of it they said they did, but then I found more random shirts in random places, I had to tell them again to get rid of it... And still they didn't get rid of it, so I had to do it myself. SO WEIRD

Also part way through the project they asked me for an extra $1000. I had no idea they would ask me this before the project started, apparently if I didnt pay then they would leave the site blank and empty with no words. They also said that it was for them to do SEO. Once they did the "SEO" I realised they had no idea how to do SEO, they did 0 SEO, no meta tags no meta descriptions, no H1-6's filled out, nothing.

Also they outsource their work to India and other countries and have many different random people working on the website so their organisation is all over the place. I knew this because I would get notifications about where the google account was being logged in from and it was genuinely from all around the world. These guys operate as a management/sales company (a bad one at that) where they sell people a service, and they manage other people around the world to fulfill that service.

I hope I dont need to explain it any more, THESE GUYS ARE SCAMMERS TRUST ME. Lying about project deadlines, bad graphics, bad spelling, I had to mange the whole thing, scamming me out of extra money, they cant do SEO even though they said they can, they take way too long to respond. These guys suck please please please follow my advice. This terrible experience has sucked the passion out of a project I was once so excited to do.

Terrible Service

Terrible Service. They promised 6-7 days delivery. I wasn't in rush so I was happy with 2-3 weeks. Now we are more than 7 weeks in and website not completed.

I hired them for a revamp of the website and fresh logo. I can't say anything was completed to my satisfaction.

First thing, they sent a website template which I approved quickly.

Then, they copied random content from my old website to random locations on the home page. All the info is scattered everywhere under the wrong headings.

Amendments sent to them to complete are entirely ignored. The project doesn't progress at all.

They continuously want to upsell you features without completing the actual project.

I don't like to send reviews, but the extreme negligence in this case pushed me to do so. I even told them that I was forced to leave a bad review, and they said nothing.

Updated Review – Ongoing Nightmare and Suspected Scam
Since my original review on April 9th, things have gone from bad to worse with Shopskey.com

After 7+ weeks of delays, broken promises, the website went life with many mistakes and wrong information, so i had to correct them to save my reputation. Later, I decided to take control of my own domain as things were not completed on the back of the website so I can move on with authentication, etc...They refused to release it unless I paid them £65, effectively holding it ransom. I also paid £305 for 2 years of hosting and SSL, but to this day I still don’t have access or clarity on where that’s hosted. They claimed to be GoDaddy partners—but I found the domain was actually registered via Namecheap.

They also charged me £38.22 for a transfer I never requested (which would’ve been free if I had done it myself). On top of that, they deleted key content from my original website like the FAQ and blog, which now need to be rebuilt from scratch.

Due to their constant delays and vague responses (“we’re in the process”), I had to renew my Webador hosting for £120, which is now wasted. I’ve since had to hire another company and spend USD 120 (so far) just to fix the mess Shopskey left behind.

They don’t issue proper invoices, and the ones they eventually sent were in euros (€), even though everything was supposed to be in GBP.

This company is completely unprofessional, evasive, and misleading. Their behaviour is borderline fraudulent and has caused me financial loss, stress, and disruption to my business.

I’ve now filed a formal complaint to the Insolvency Service.

On their website, they promise below:
Personalized Web Development Solutions Unlimimted Revisions Till Satisfaction Complete Website Ownership One Time Cost (No Monthly/Yearly Charges)

Please don't believe it, I am in circles with them for over 3 months and still not done. I just want them gone from my life but their divorce is not very easy and costly as well.

I strongly urge others to avoid this company at all costs.
