Theatre's Experience
Our theatre has been using Showpass for 3+ years and has had a very positive experience with the system. Their customer support is always positive and helpful and the events easily integrate with our website.
An area that Showpass could grow/expand upon is the payout report. This has significantly improved over the years but could use a bit of fine tuning for clients who have multiple events/payouts being paid in one lump sum.
Good vendor
Good vendor. Customer service is good, problem resolution is fast, and their system scales well to all different sizes of events while being easy for customers and staff to use. Lots of customization for different types of events.
The experience was great
The experience was great. It was smooth, no hassle, I will be doing it again in the future. Thank you!
I'm sure my age is showing
I'm sure my age is showing, but here is how I felt after navigating showpass. I wished to purchase 2 senior tickets to a camper show. I thought, okay, enter my name & phone number, get the quantity and price confirmed for the venue I want, enter a credit card, pay the amount, and check out. It used to be that simple. Well, first it insisted on two choices...sign in as facebook (I chose not to), or create a new member. I chose wrong. I created a new member. Then it insisted I chose between 2-or 3 "free" unrelated things before going to check-out. I somehow avoided those, and went to checkout. I approved the amount and gave my credit card number. All set, right? Then it opened another page or two verifying my account with address etc. Finally, I hoped, I could copy the QR code and close (sign out) the page. Nope, I first was asked if I wanted to print out a receipt, and thinking I better do that since it has already gotten so involved. I printed out the receipt which stated this is not a ticket, it is only a receipt...and then I became so page weary, I had go get help to find the page offering the tickets to print or copy a QR code. My wife rescued me, and found the page. She printed them out "just in case". I understand I am not young, but does this process to buy two tickets have to be so involved?

Platform is great - 10/10 for the team
Platform is great. Great customer service
Pockets the 'Service Fees' even on cancelled and refunded events.
Edit: After prompting to give a promised refund of the outstanding balance, Showpass made things square.
It is unclear whether this is still their default policy for other customers.
_____________
I was refunded due to the cancellation of an event by the venue. The booking cost me $56.77, I was refunded $52.50.
Showpass kept the 'service fees' of $4.27.
If no service was rendered, it is proper to refund the full amount..
In emails to them, I get the boilerplate:
"Please note that Showpass fees, as they cover the initial cost of putting the transaction through, are considered non-refundable as per terms and conditions and as indicated at check-out."
It's a pretense that your payment processing costs $4.27, and you should follow the example of other event and payment services that would never keep the processing fee if the show was canceled. You have penalized the customer outright.
______
I had a reply that I would receive a full refund shortly. I never received a refund nor correspondence.

Un timely.
Disgusting that this company is essential for events in my area as have had issues with buying tickets multiple times. Customer service is fair at best and not timely at all, has passed blame onto organizers for their systems not functioning properly.

Solid Company.
Had a show that was cancelled, I called, they gave me a few options. Had a show cancelled by eventbrite and Ticketmaster the same day, I got Showpass money back in my account within 24 hours and it's taken ticketmaster and EB nearly 8 months for a similar size event in the exact same venue. Showpass knows what they're doing.
