Recently ordered some plates from Showplates Express for my Tesla.

Delivery was super quick. The price was great and I loved the amount of customisation available on the website.

Really poor quality. There website is very misleading. Plates are not quality acrylic plates as shown on the website but instead are stickers on front of black plastic sheet. Their money back guarantee and no quibble returns are a joke as they just ignore you and refuse to give you a return address. I'm now left with poor quality plates that look awful. Do yourself a favour and avoid using these people. There are a lot better quality plates out there

Plates themselves are good (if damaged due to courier). Promised same day despatch (I was careful to beat the cut off time by over an hour) did not happen. Website claim of 92% next day delivery and 1-2 day delivery clearly fantasy. Email response from them revised this to 2-4 days while website still showed the 1-2 days. Funnily enough the 92% next day claim disappeared as soon as I asked for the data in support of it for my ASA complaint. Compounding the fact that the plates were delivered 2 days late (urgency is an issue these days as online plate transfer is now instant and success of transfer is not confirmed by DVSA until the transfer has been made - so you need to wait til transfer made to order plates) they use Hermes. Hermes tracking had contradictory messages and the courier pushed the plates under my gate exactly where they got run over when my wife came home. And they confirmed where the plates had been placed with their delivery photo. You couldn’t make it up. Both plate supplier and Hermes on my do not order from list.

Plates weren't dispatched same day as says on site. Using yodel as well, says it all. Plate border was not parallel to outer perimeter so looks stupid in holder thats fitted to car.
Writing in the border not as show on preview and, the contact email on FAQ is clearly a dud. No domail server and no real contact details to get hold of anyone.
Spunking £30 down the drain hasn't been so easy..
*edit - I have reciepts and emails to prove supply and deliver service so please do not insinuate I am a liar, dillusional or have no details of my purchase.

I'd email details, but contact details on site are dud. I've attempted to email already and shows as no domain. No phone number to contact as stated before.
Plates where ordered before 15:00 aseell so still not dispatched within time said.

I was very pleased with the quality of the number plates. They were delivered by courier within two days of ordering. Customer service was top notch with excellent communication. Highly recommended!

I have just received my plates and they are perfect, Sarah in customer services was excellent, I have read through the reviews on here and I believe the 1 star reviews are fake to harm this wonderful business reputation all I can say is that I have nothing but praise for the speed and service.

I think they must be under new management after seeing some of the reviews, I have ordred twice now and both times have been happy with the quality and service, Delivery takes a little longer but these are challenging times for everyone!

I'm not normally one for leaving reviews, however, I had recently placed an order via their website and feared the worst after coming across the reviews on here. I've had a painless experience with them. I'd happily recommend show plates express to anyone. Simple order process. Options to customise and have legal plates. Optional fitting kit and tracked delivery. Ordered Thursday afternoon, plates arrived Saturday morning. Happy Customer.

Ordered my plates with a border . They turned up with mis aligned on the sides and top and bottom . . Sent off an email stating what was wrong with then and wanting a return , supplied a picture and had a reply off ‘Sarah ‘ that the plates are ok and within tolerances . Have asked what are their tolerances as they do not mention nothing about this when ordering . I sent another email quoting their 60 day money back no hassle returns , to which I have had no reply .
The after sales service is very poor , plates are total garbage do yourself a favour and get from somebody else . This is no way to run a company . Quality plates my a**e . Don’t even deserve 1 star !!!!

Cheap rubbish, poor quality. Ended up in the bin an ordering from another company ! The rear plate 21x6 was such poor quality, amateurs!
They don't reply to emails also.

Beware - company's website claims to offer a choice of Legal Style registration plate or Show Plate style and describes the Show Plate as having non-standard letter spacing. It allows you to enter your registration on the webpage and shows a distinct difference in letter spacing between the two styles as one might expect.
I ordered the Show Plate style and received standard Legal Style plates, i.e. with 11mm between letters and 33mm between groups. When I queried this with the company they replied 'you can either put spaces or not put spaces but not change the actual spacing between letters', despite the website clearly showing the opposite.
They also claim to offer '60 Day Money Back Guarantee' and 'No Hassle Returns', but when I requested a refund as they hadn't provided the product I ordered they refused.
Caveat Emptor is really relevant here!

Ordered a set of plates, to have one plate arrive with bubbles in the one of the plates, contacted them and got a reply from "Sarah" who was very sorry and will send out a replacement ASAP, so good quick response so decided to buy another plate, again paid for 1st class postage, this was on 12th, still no replacement place or second order by the 17th, so contacted again and "Sarah" replies, will be there by end of play today (17th), end of play comes and nothing so emailed again, no reply, emailed first thing on 18th, where are the plates ? no reply, put through a Paypal dispute and guess what a reply within 5 mins with tracking details from Hermes, collection on 18th !!! so lied about dispatch and what date they were coming. paid for first class too !! and to make it worse decided to put kisses on end of Paypal message ??? how unprofessional ! COMPLETE JOKE !! AVOID AT ALL COST !!!!

Avoid, please save yourselves the time. Suggestive website stating 92% of orders are received next day (other reviews suggest this to be untrue) false advertising. £5.99 for a delivery service is steep, but assuming a next day so accepted. Opened case via paypal for a refund as had to purchase plates elsewhere, the response from them was the rudest asking for proof of where they assure next day delivery. Had no email confirmations to chase this up with them directly. Their website selects the good reviews, where 70% on TrustPilot are negative. Please, please; if you are sourcing number plates, please seek an alternative supplier. Out of principle, boredom from COVID etc. I will be taking this matter further legally until a refund is presented. PLEASE, if you do one thing after reading these reviews - AVOID!!!!!!!!!!

same day dispatch is only to get the order use some one else if you require them on an express delivery!

The same day dispatch is now not true!! they say first class postage and they have use hermes on a couple of days delivery!!

Avoid if you need your plates in a hurry choose the next one!!

Ordered a plate for my partner as ours was dragged off in the floods and after reading reviews and being told the plates were not road legal and that it would take 2 to 3 days i cancelled my order and now 2 weeks on they have told me my order has been cancelled and refunded, no refund and no help. Customer service is terrible, I work in customer service and if provided that kind of service we would not have any customers. Palming my refund off on PayPal even though they have claimed my funds! My order confirmation is 824475D

Just to respond to the reply, no you did not. I have multiple emails confirming that this was not the case and that you lied the whole way through and did not respond to my email when I caught you out. In the end I opened a dispute with my bank who got the funds back.

I ordered two sets of plates from showplatesexpress.com and was extremely disappointed with the quality. All of the plates had rough edges in the same place. Their response to my email was all of our blanks come like this. I have ordered plates from other companies and none have ever had this fault. I asked about their "no hassle returns" and "60 day money back guarantee" but absolutely no response so not sure how they can make these statements on their website. If you want good quality plates avoid this company.

The plates arrived in a few days. Unfortunately the front one had a blemish near the edge which someone tried to scratch off and made it worse. I emailed Showplatesexpress, admittedly I had to do it twice, before I had any response but response I had and a couple of days later a new plate arrived. Very pleased!
