I had an excellent experience with Shred Nations and Shredlogix
I had an excellent experience! I was a bit nervous after reading the 1-star reviews. Most of them were about the 3rd party 'partners' not calling to set up an appointment. In my case, Shred Nations transferred me directly to the 'partner' dispatch (which, in my case, was Caesar at Shredlogix). Caesar called his driver while I was on the phone, and we set up an appointment for the afternoon. He gave me a time window of 11 AM to 2 PM. Within the time window, the driver called me when he was about to head to my house to confirm the appointment. He said he'd arrive in about 25 minutes. He arrived right on time and was very friendly. The truck had a large recycle bin into which we easily dumped the contents of my banker's boxes. (This is one of the main reasons I used a mobile service. To shred at the local UPS shipping store, I would have had to insert my documents into a recycle bin with a slot and a locked lid. The slot could only accommodate a limited number of sheets at a time. It would have taken me a very long time to get all my documents into the bin). The cost of the mobile service from Shredlogix was only $25 more than it would have cost me to do it the slow way at the shipping store. The truck had a video camera, so I could see the shredding from start to finish (something I couldn't do at the shipping store. I just had to trust that my documents would get safely picked up and shredded once the 3rd party shredding company came at some point in the future). The whole process with Shred Nations and Shredlogix was fast and easy. They both delivered! Five stars! The only thing to keep in mind is Shred Nations will refer you to a specific company based on your location. So, this review only applies to my experience with Shred Nations, referring to Shredlogix. Depending on your location and the company that services your area, you could have a great experience like I did or a not-so-great experience like the 1-star reviewers.
A chore I was dreading made extremely easy!
My job was handled by the Shred Nations affiliate in
National City, CA.
I found Kyle, the man who set up my appointment via my call to them, to be very pleasant and knowledgable. He was able to schedule my job for the next day.
Ray, the owner, came out to do the shredding. He was extremely affable, efficient and quick. He was finished in 20 minutes. Would recommend this particular affilitate of Shred Nations.
Bureacratic lack of transparency
Useless website and cumbersome communication. When a company cannot give a clear idea of services and charges directly, there is good reason to be skeptical. Find someone else.
This is ONLY a lead generating company…
This is ONLY a lead generating company for people who actually may do shredding. They wasted your time and then refer you on to one of their paid subscribers after you answer all their questions and give them all your information.... Stay Away - Scam artists
I called them a couple of days ago
I called them a couple of days ago. The gentleman (seth) quoted me a price and said I needed scheduling and they were busy. He would have them call back. Still waiting. Now I have tried to call them back for 2 days and no answers the phone. Hmmm
Shred Nations is TERRIBLE
Shred Nations is TERRIBLE! Per their website they provide Shredder Rental services but when I called the rep just told me he couldn't help me and then hung up.
Does not return call.
Called Monday, now Wednesday and still waiting for their return call.
Shred Nations is not a shredding…
They are a referral service- Not a shredding company.

“Shred Nations is not a local shredding …
“Shred Nations is not a local shredding company. They are a lead generator. They collect the names of people wanting shredding service and sell this information to shredding companies in our area. Because shredding companies have to pay Shred Nations for these leads, they need to charge customers who come to them via Shred Nations a higher price than if these customers approached the local shredding company directly. If you do not want to pay a premium for shredding, do not use a lead generator like Shred Nations. “

No results and no records
I have contacted Shred nations via their website at least 5 times over the past 8 months. Each time, I received a phone call, answered their questions and was told that I would receive information about companies in my area. Each subsequent time I contacted them, I mentioned that I had called them before. They repeatedly said they had no record of previous contacts. I will not be doing business with them again.

Great service great price!
Cleaning out my elderly parents' garage we came across stacks of boxes of materials to shred. Shred nations responded immediately, quoted a fair reasonable price, worked with my schedule and sent a very polite man to come and shred it all in minutes. I will definitely use them again!
Cleaning Fever: Shred me!
The woman who answered the call at almost 6;15 pm was patient and thorough even though the office was closing at 6:30. She let me know that the person who schedules the truck would probably call in the morning. Additionally, she mentioned that the truck usually comes within 2 days of the request. The Shred Nations rep was informative and helpful.
I think this review is premature, since I have not had the shredding service yet.

Fast and friendly. Got a quote without any hassle.
No Response
The lady at Shred Nations said she would have someone call me with a quote but I never heard from anyone.

Misleading, indeed.
While Shred Nations may lead you to believe that they are a shredding company looking forward to service you, they're actually just looking forward to you giving up your information so they can ship you as a lead to their partner nearest you--partner companies that may or may not have the same shredding practices that Shred Nations preaches and promotes on their website.
So I went with their process... unexpectedly had some random company contact me, and figured it would be fine. I explained my company needs: on-site shredding and *WITNESSED* by an authorized member of the company. And I was shocked when I later found out that a member from this shredding company came, helped themselves into one of our offices, took the bin for shredding, and left *WITHOUT* waiting for someone to witness the shredding!!!
Imagine this for your business. Someone just walks in and takes your documents. You'd have them arrested for theft. I talked with the company owner, and he wouldn't even have the truck come back for us to witness the shredding. You wouldn't be too happy, would you? Neither were we, and needless to say, I directly sought out a local company (using Google) and I wouldn't recommend anyone to Shred Nations. It's not worth the liability for your business, especially if your company had previous experience with internal espionage!

quick service
As far as customer service is concerned, friendly and fast. Did not realize they are middle man, but received phone call right away from one of the companies they sent my info to. Was given an estimate right away.
Appointment for residential shredding
The representative said someone would get back to me for scheduling. She was very professional, courteous, and friendly.
Friendly staff and great service
Dropping my truckload of documents to be shredded was an easy process. Staff immediately greeted me and did the unloading for me. It was easy and reasonably priced.
No follow up
I called the general infomation line and they were helpful, but the local company never called me to set something up. Won't be using this service. Even if they were really busy they could have reached out with an email.
