As said, I am rating again this store to say that they were very helpful and tried to understand the situation. I didn’t make the final step of the purchase and I thought I did, so that was my fault. I am so sorry!
My odyssee with Side Shore:
Week 1: Ordered a surfboard in the side shore webshop begin of May. Board was indicated to be in stock for immediate shipping. Payment was deducted from my credit card immediately, the customer account which I needed to create showed the order confirmation.
Week 2: After I did not see any updates regarding shipping for a week, I called the store and they seemed surprised, and promised to "search for the board".
Week 3: However, I did not hear back for almost another two weeks, and I emailed the store again. They finally answered and offered me a different variant. I had a question regarding their offer which they did not reply to - I waited a whole week but no answer.
Week 4: End of week 4, I then emailed cancelling my order and requested return of the payment, but no response, no answer, yet again.
Entering Week 6: My cancellation and refund request was sent 8 days ago, but no response. The store is sitting on my money, on an order that they figured out they cant fulfil, and I have only gotten one single response (when they offered me a different board). I just have finally put in a complaint to my credit card company, and will explore further options.

Unbelievably bad experience from an online kitesurfboard purchase from Side-shore.com. I ordered a lightly used second hand Firewire kitesurfboard that was supposed to be in ”Like new condition” in every aspect according to the description of the board at their website. “In very clean condition” was added to the description of the condition via email.
The first issue was when the board had been sent and I tried to ask via email what was the courier company they were using so I could use the tracking code they provided. I sent 3 emails during 1,5 week asking this same question without getting an answer.
When I received the board I counted 9 repairs on the board with one of them being a severe ding on the rail where a 9 cm piece of the wooden rail had been replaced with a piece of new wood (standard way to repair a Firewire balsa rail but a major repair none the less). To me a board with 9 repairs on it is NOT in ”Like new condition”. At least it should be mentioned in the description or if one asks for information about the item.
I received the board 11.5. and since then I have sent 3 emails to Side-shore trying to them ask about the possible return of the item or some sort of compensating refund. I have still got no response from them.
I am very disappointed in the service from Side-shore and I unfortunately can not recommend ordering from them.
