Weboost Connect 4G signal booster for a mobile hot spot

I have an ATT 'Homebase' mobile hotspot. After owning it a couple of months, the signal from the ATT cell tower closest to us diminished badly. I purchased a Connect 4G Cellular Signal Booster from Weboost, and it worked very well, pushing my signal from a -114 dbw reading to a -89 dbw reading. The company videos on YouTube are excellent, but the telephone support representatives are only so-so. I believe that many of them have never tried to install one of their own systems. I live in a very rural area, and our closest ATT cell tower is probably 8 miles away. I was also impressed that the booster actually improved my smart Tracphone signal from 1 bar to 4 bars, but I need to be within 10 feet of the inside antenna for that to work. This booster won't give you a blazingly fast signal, but it will allow you to stream from one of your devices, and at least allow you to get on the internet with a decent speed.

Works as advertised

Works as advertised. If you have some service outside your home and none to slim inside then this should work for you as it did me

As a retired engineer I spent time …

As a retired engineer I spent time digging into specifications, cost, advertised performance, etc., before purchasing the cell phone signal booster. Your product seemed to be a good choice for a reasonable price. All information was clearly presented and the installed device performs as advertised. Great product, great price.

Fusion4Home works extremely well

Fusion4Home works. I recommend purchasing the Yagi antenna and panel indoor antenna. This system increased my rural signal by over 30 dB to -65 to -71 dB, which is excellent signal strength.

Note: You MUST know the exact compass heading to your closest cell tower for the Yagi to work. Go to "antenna research" on the web. This will show your closest tower. Download Google Earth pro and use the ruler tool to get the compass direction and distance.

I use this for streaming video, which allowed me to cancel satellite service. The investment will pay off in 10 months.

Save money and buy the basic system with Omni antenna and whip antenna, then purchase the Yagi and indoor antennas separately. This is far less expensive than buying Signal Boosters' top package.

We think the HiBoost works well...

We think the HiBoost works well and it is nice to have in remote areas that have weak coverage. But in our town where we get 3 bars of 4G, I would have expected the HiBoost to give us 5 bars of 4G. It is for this reason that it only got 4 stars. If you need a cell phone signal booster, this is one we can certainly recommend.

It worked but not as good as I had hoped. I had one bar sometimes two before installing the booster. I now get only three bars and that is if you are no more that 20 feet away from the signal booster. When it says its for one or two rooms it really means it.

Harassment to evaluate product

I have not had a chance to completely check out my unit but, I am constantly hassled to evaluate it. Because of this harassment I will not be recommending or buying anymore products from Wilson electronics.

Quick service and the product was as advertised. Considered returning as I thought it would not meet my needs. Customer service was patient with my 'waffling' and when I changed my mind they changed with me.
Booster is just what I needed.
