My experience with Signal House was unacceptable.
I never had the opportunity to properly use or evaluate the service, but I was still charged. When I tried to cancel, I discovered there was no straightforward way to cancel the subscription myself.
That tells you everything about how this company views its customers: apparently, you’re considered capable of subscribing and handing over your credit card without assistance—but not capable of deciding to cancel without the company controlling the process.
This is not customer service. It is a deliberately obstructive and patronizing cancellation policy designed to make leaving harder than joining. A reputable company should earn continued business through the quality of its product, not by placing barriers between customers and the cancellation button.
Signal House may have a good product; I never had enough time with it to make that judgment. But I can absolutely judge the business practice I experienced. Any subscription company should provide a visible, immediate, self-service cancellation option. If customers can subscribe online, they should be able to cancel online just as easily.
Until Signal House changes this policy, I cannot recommend doing business with them. Customers deserve transparency, control over their own subscriptions, and far more respect than this.
