Do not use……They intentionally delay refunds and are impossible to contact.
We returned two items and received confirmation of the fact that they had been received by Silkfred.
In line with the stated returns policy, which stated refunds could take up to 14 days, we waited for the monies to be returned to our credit card.
After 20 days nothing.
We then tried to make contact with Silkfred but could only correspond via their “bot”. We were advised the refund had been processed and to expect the money to be refunded within the next few days.
Well, we’re still waiting, now almost four weeks later, still no refund.
Appalling service, no customer support, essentially a scam trader….
Use at your peril…..look a their reviews….we’re not the only ones to be saying this.

I found a lovely dress for my Nieces wedding. It arrived in good time and the quality of the material is very nice. There was so much choice on the website, it was hard to chose but I’m very happy with the one that arrived. It was also a great fit! So no need for returns.

I ordered 4 dresses and returned 2 of them on 2 July. Silkfred acknowledged I had dropped it at the post office and told me to wait 10 working days from 9 July to receive a refund. I have now tracked the item and Royal Mail has agreed it has gone missing and I cannot claim because Silkfred have the account. There is no way of getting in touch with Silkfred. The messaging system goes round in circles. I had a customer notice email to ask how it was doing. I replied to email and it bounced back to me. Reluctantly I have decided I cannot order any more from this company as they are impossible to get in touch with

My first purchase with Silk Fred and sadly likely to be my last. The order was received very promptly and cannot fault the quality of the dresses ordered however neither were suitable. Return process was easy to follow and notified when received back however advised it would take up to 14 WORKING (seriously?) days to receive refund. I had to contact on day 15 as no refund received and I was refunded next day (so refunds don’t need to take 14 working days). If it weren’t from the length of time to obtain a refund, I would have considered ordering from this company again.

Got a beautiful dress from SilkFred for my sons graduation, had ordered same dress in two sizes and returned one. Still waiting on refund even though they confirmed receipt of return on 29th June. Have tried to contact them twice through their "contact us" option and have had no reply! Will not reorder from them and definitely will not recommend, dreadful after sales service.
Update-following my review SilkFred have looked into this and refund has been made. Thank you SilkFred, just disappointing that I had to leave a poor review to get this sorted but appreciate the fast response.

Very bad service! Cancelled my order and only advised me my order was cancelled when I had not received the order in over 2 weeks and had to follow up with them.
Email below of what they sent me, very poor customer service! This email was sent 2 weeks after my purchase.
‘’Thank you for getting in touch.
I have looked into this and unfortunately, I can see the order was cancelled due to being out of stock in your size. I am so sorry if this was never communicated to you.’’

Ordered a dress online and needed to return it. I have tried using the app and the email I used to order neither worked. I sent a customer request through the website advice. 6 weeks later, I still haven't had a response and still haven't been able to return the dress.

Extremely Disappointed – Avoid SilkFred
SilkFred is not a company I would ever recommend. Despite advertising a two-week refund policy, it took them three months to process refunds for two separate items. One of those delays resulted in a £90 late payment fee on my credit card — for a £45 item.
When I contacted SilkFred to understand what went wrong, they blamed a warehouse change and "operational issues." However, they offered no apology, no compensation, and no accountability. Instead, they expected me to accept their internal problems and became rude and sarcastic in their responses.
This is a clear breach of their own refund policy and arguably of the Consumer Rights Act. The lack of customer service and accountability is shocking.
Avoid this retailer unless you're prepared to be ignored, blamed, and penalised for their failures.
