Not shipped after a month of purchase

Bought a skirts, not shipped after a month. And I wrote an email asking for full refund, and they immediately shipped one of them and refund the other. They replied and said I can return the skirt they sent of if I don’t need it any more but I have to over the expense. Shipped from China but I need to return it to America from Aus. Ridiculous. Never buy again, not recommended.

Regarding the shipping issue you mentioned, your order was split for shipment and the first package was sent out on Jan 2 and you wrote to them on Jan 8 asking for a full refund. Customer service staff can only tell you that the first package has been shipped so they can't refund the full amount for you. But they helped you cancel the unshipped item and then tell you return the first package if you don't need it upon receipt.
The package was sent out before you requested a refund, not immediately after you requested a cancellation as you may think.
Because customers are responsible for their own return shipping costs, we have set up a U.S. warehouse to facilitate returns and save customers money on shipping costs.

If you have other requests for your order, you can give your thoughts back to customer service and we are sure they will continue to process it for you at the first opportunity.

I’d give it zero stars but this is not…

I’d give it zero stars but this is not an option. Do not order anything from SilkMaison - This company is a complete scam. I ordered a jacket thinking I’d be able to wear it for an event 3+ weeks later. It took over a month to arrive. I wasn’t crazy about the quality, so I returned it as soon as it go here.

This company makes you pay to ship it back - even the shipping company said that there is something not right about that - and it took them 2 weeks to get back to me. There are also VERY specific instructions on shipping and if you don’t follow them exactly then they claim it could lead to you not receiving a refund.

Once they got back to me about my returned product, they refunded me only partially because they took shipping off of the original price! So I basically had to pay on both ends, it’s an absolute scam. Do not order from this company.

Update: Silk Maison has tried to defend their return policy but it is NOT clearly stated. At one point they claim that your first purchase and return is exempt; the second one will incur shipping costs. I have never bought anything at Silk Maison (and will not in the future) and I paid $18 to ship it to me, $25 to ship it back - all for a product not worth keeping. Do not shop here.

The return policy on our website is clearly written that we will offer the postage of return if items received are incorrect, damaged, or faulty goods.
Normally, customers will need to pay for shipping using the carrier of their choice if there are no above questions. The reason for your return is a sizing issue so the return shipping costs will be your responsibility.
We also make it clear that the $18 shipping fee is non-refundable because when we send the package to you and you receive it without incident, the shipping fee has done its job and is charged by the logistics provider. We have refunded all the money you paid for the clothes.
If we are deliberately cheating you, then we will not write every policy clearly on our website but directly deduct your money privately without your knowledge.

Sketchy Return Policy

I bought a coat that was damaged when I received it. I was told I needed to ship it back myself and would be reimbursed. They reimbursed me via PayPal, even though I originally paid via credit card. PayPal took a few out of the reimbursement and Silk Maison has refused to pay the difference. Super sketchy company.

Update on 2/08: I reached out to PayPal customer service and they stated that, when Silk Maison submitted the payment, they listed it as a service rendered. This is incorrect because I did not provide a service; this is a reimbursement. I am happy to return the money through PayPal if Silk Maison can submit the payment again without listing the payment as a service.

Since all the money you paid was refunded to you, the customer service staff needed to reimburse you for the shipping costs by transfer.
The total shipping cost on the invoice you sent was $22.45, which was fully reimbursed to you. You can also clearly see this in the screenshot that the customer service staff sent you. You mentioned that you were charged a small fee by PayPal and not deducted by us so you should ask PayPal what this fee is. We don't know why PayPal charged you this fee. Because you're not the only customer we've dealt with who has been reimbursed for shipping, but no other customer has had this happen.

Silk Maison is giving costumers false information!

The package took 2 months to arrive. The measurements on the website were way way off. It says that the material of the item is 100% cotton but upon further inspection it is clear that quite a large part of it is constructed of polyester.

Extremely long delivery time

Extremely long delivery time. Customer service is polite and quick to reply, but unfortunately not really helpful. The overall Silk Maison reviews say it all. This company should really better consider the massive advertising outside of their local area, as only a few people are interested in shopping winter wardrobes for summer and vice versa.

Great product

Great product - coat keeps you warm. Very classy & casual as the same time. Love the colour and design.

Only thing is double check size measurements. Oversized coat requires you to go down a size or two.

You won’t get your money back

Items are not as advertised paid 200 dollars for a dress that looks like shein and took a month to be delivered . Payed for shipping to return and never got my money back . They said they transferred the money to my bank account weird because I payed with with my credit card never has this happen to me with other online stores.Gave me some weird totally fake receipt so went to my back to check (Chase) to check it out they laughed of course it was fake they've never seen this type of form. Total scam . Buyer beware go somewhere trustworthy.

Beware of false advertising

Beware. The items pictured and items sold are totally different. When you try to return your product, they ask for photos of labels and package bar codes. They will reply with your images circled and annotated to prove the numbers on the product you received match the codes on the product website. Regardless, the item pictured is totally different than the one they ship.

Update February 5, 2023.
The seller's response is false, a blatant misrepresentation of the facts, and characteristic of a scam retail operation. The customer service agent did not demonstrate that the wrong product. The agent claimed that the bar code on the blouse and sku on the website matched but was unable to explain why the pictured blouse and shipped blouse were different items. As such, the customer service agent replied to me on December 18, 2022 and said:

"Dear customer, Thank you for your recent SILK MAISON Online Order #200580. Ok. We can cover the return shipping costs for you. However, your other coat is still in transit, so please return it together with your coat when you receive it. Are you okay with this?"

Once the coat referenced in that message arrived, I notified your company that I would indeed return both items and accept the full refund plus return shipping costs. That notification was made on January 1, 2023. On January 3, 2023 your customer service agent replied:

"Dear customer, Thank you for your recent SILK MAISON Online Order #200580. We have received your return request. We are sorry that the item did not work out as you had hoped. We do not have return label. Please provide us with a shipping invoice after you send your package. We will reimburse you upon receipt of the return."

As requested, I shipped both items and provided a return shipping invoice to you on January 5, 2023. The tracking number associated with the shipment showed the items delivered to you on January 9, 2023. You did not refund me until January 29, 2023 and did NOT include the return shipping costs as you promised.

Your company markets and sells completely different products. You fail to refund costs as you commit to do. And you misrepresent the facts on public domains in order to portray your customers as dishonest, when you are in fact operating with deceptive business practices. This is a scam retail website.

We ordered several dresses for my…

We ordered several dresses for my daughter’s Fall dance. They all arrived literally 6 weeks late (long after the dance) and we were unable to receive a refund after sending the dresses back, as they claimed it was outside their exchange window. Horrible customer service. Luckily, we ordered on Amex, therefore a grievance was granted. Zero zero stars and so disappointing.

Without your specific order number we do not know your exact receipt time, but our website stipulates that the return period is calculated from the time the customer signs for the package, so the shipping time of the package does not affect the time you request a return or exchange.

If, as you say, you no longer need the dresses when you receive them, you should have contacted customer service immediately to return them rather than after the deadline. We respect our customers' ideas about our products so we are willing to accept returns and exchanges. If you contact customer service within the specified time frame, we believe they will handle the return for you at the first opportunity.

DO NOT BUY - SCAM

Real Correspondence "I placed this order on 12 October and still it did not arrive. I also paid $18 fee. It's ridiculous how long it takes and the misleading information presented on your site.
This package is not delayed, it's just sent over a very slow shipment. I want my shipment fee back and the package to arrive next business week.
Truly disappointed with your customer service, especially it's one item and not cheap."

Answer from Silk Maison -
"If you had followed the epidemic situation you would know that we are facing an epidemic and not an epidemic free environment as you say. If international shipments were not disrupted by the epidemic, there is no reason why our packages to you would be delayed this long. We are as anxious as you are but we have no other choice but to urge the logistics providers to process your package as quickly as possible.

If your order was not shipped, we can certainly process a refund for you immediately. But the problem is that the package is now on its way to your address. If we were to request a refund for your order, we would need to receive a notification from our logistics provider that your package can no longer be located. Even waiting for a response from the logistics provider takes time. So we gave you a promise that if the logistics hasn't updated this week we will request a refund for you. We have never refused to give you a refund, just not now.

We are also trying to contact the logistics provider to confirm the status of the package as soon as possible, and any chance we can give you a refund we will get it for you."

HA-HA - If I had followed?

"Dear Silk Maison team,

All respectable companies are not using excuses such as "delayed due to epidemic" when we know very well all transportation has resumed for half a year now. Also, a respectable company would deal with this issue aside from the customers and not impede their rights to get a refund when an item is not received at the time of correspondence.
If you forgot maybe, I already saw the Chinese receipt which clearly showed it's still transiting from China since 13 October.
It's not my fault for the choice of sending packages with shipped cargo from China which takes 30 to 45 days to reach USA or EU and the business shipment cost is none considering the outrageous $18 amount fee almost 400% more than the real cost. I would have nothing to complain about if the service provided would be as intended and the package would arrive in an acceptable timeframe.
At this time there is no correspondence with the logistics therefore no update.
You are not to decide how much I am willing to wait for a package that is delayed for an unreasonable amount of time. I also will not be bounded to remain in the same city only to wait for a package and lose money just because the Silk Maison business is not able to organize and control appropriately the shipment of their items. Indicating that there are shipment delays already supports the idea that the business is aware of this issue and instead of rectifying it just delays customers from receiving their items in due time and delaying their refund, therefore keeping funds inappropriately.
I am waiting for my refund at this time and not for an indefinite time provided by you or a third company such as logistics which you have no control over, and I would like to contact further management than your position at this time.
Please forward also the shipping mail address for the main office of the Silk Maison business so my lawyer can officially address this issue with the appropriate measures.
If you force me to remain in a city where I need to receive a package because you are refusing to reroute the package to your warehouse and refuse to refund me, I will forward and include for my lawyer the details of all my travel-related business expenses that will be postponed just to wait for your package, from today, 21 November 2022 until your package will arrive, that includes hotel accommodation as I am not resident of USA and also all the flight costs to my next business location.

Concluding this endless correspondence, I would appreciate if you stop wasting my time, send the refund and organize your business better for shipments, as many other customers I read had similar issues.
My fault I did not read the reviews before ordering. "

First of all we are sorry for your long wait. Our customer service staff has also explained to you the reason for the delay of the package and also offered compensation measures.

The logistics carrier for the package once it arrives locally is USPS, which should be one of the carriers most people would choose. We did not choose a slow carrier on purpose as you said. Please trust that we want the package to reach the customer as soon as possible more than you do.

Silk Maison used to be great, what happened?

I purchased from Silk Maison several times in the past and was quite happy. But it has been about three years, and everything has changed. I placed an order, received no confirmation and it didn’t show in my account. I checked with the bank to see if payment was made and they had nothing. Figuring a failure, I placed the order again. Two days later I see both in my account. I immediately emailed to ask to cancel one but no response. Five days later I emailed again and asked the same question as I hadn’t gotten a confirmation of shipping. I got a response this time, which was no. It informed me the order had been processed and what they had in stock had been shipped, also provided me with a shipping tracking number. It took another 6 days for ChinaPost to acknowledge receipt of the shipment. It’s still another 14 days since then and no products. And no indication of the other items not in stock, which they refuse to refund because they are lingerie items. So now I wait.

Update, received a package and the sizing of the products has changed so nothing fit, which makes me think someone else is running the company. And destroyed it.

Then you wrote on October 25 that you had paid another order and wanted to cancel one. But by then both of your orders had already shipped so customer service was unable to cancel them for you.
Now you have three packages in transit and we have told customer service to send you the latest logistics information.
And on the issue of lingerie returns, since you said you are our regular customer, then you should know that our return policy has always stipulated that lingerie is not returnable. We hope you can understand.
