We have used Simon’s planned routes in 2026 and have 2 further ones in 2027 in the planning stage, one of which being bespoke. He has everything planned for you down to the coffee and petrol stops. He also gives insight into the towns of interest thru web links. I would thoroughly recommend giving the tours a go as you won’t be disappointed.

Outstanding riding routes available from here. I’ve ridden multiple routes designed by Simon, both purchased from the website and bespoke tours. They turned a good holiday into a great holiday! The information is really clear and GPX routes transfer fine into Calimoto for easy navigation.

If you want great routes, anywhere in the UK or Europe (or a nice quality T shirt) Simon is your man !!

Simon provides an excellent service. Great customised routes based on a wealth of experience with a level of attention to detail second to none. Fuel stops, coffee breaks, meal stops, hotels all figured in!
Plus a Michelin map with the routes highlighted and includes tour notes and turn by turn directions for the top of your tank bag.
What more could you ask for? Very highly recommended.

Simon's knowledge is exceptional and I have ridden a fair few of his routes.
The books are brilliant, even suggesting stops and things to look out for as well as the roads being the best.
Whether your using the books, download his very fairly priced GPX files or get him to create you a route you'll be on to a winner.

Well planned and executed trip.

I contacted Simon to discuss a trip, he offered very helpful advice and guidance , and at very short notice , put together a trip within some very tight parameters given by myself. The result was amazing, not just the routing, but the details such as hotel recommendations, coffee and lunch stops. He provided GPX files, tour notes and tank bag notes along with a notated Michelin map...we were all gobsmacked at the detail...Simons' services take away alotbof the hassle of organising a bike tour...the cost is negligible between a group of friends ...We will be taking advantage of Simons' amazing service again ...THANK YOU SIMON!!

ChickenStrips guided motorcycle touring service is excellent. Being shepherded by world class riders at a dynamic pace to suit a broad spectrum of roads, traffic, conditions and rider ability is a luxury I didn't know how much I valued until I had it. Great hotels and locations inclusive. Extra spend for dinners, beers and banter well worth the price of entry!

Simon's maps also incredibly good value, so if you prefer to solo tour, camp or otherwise or organise the logistics independently, start there. The man knows his biking roads like no other!

What Simon doesn’t know about roads and routes simply isn’t worth knowing. Starting with his books I found a plethora of great riding within the UK before starting out on European rides. After finding them superb I’ve since ridden on three Chickenstrips Tours led by Simon and can hand on heart say that I have enjoyed the best riding holidays through some of the most spectacular places throughout Europe.
Everything I’ve experienced from Simon Weir has been excellent, from books, tour routes, guided tours and even his range of motorcycle technical wear, and a genuinely lovely guy to boot.

Top class - what Simon doesn’t know about route planning simply isn’t worth bothering about. His knowledge of roads, cafes, places to see and stop over at, is bordering on autistic, the man is a walking (just) encyclopaedia of best riding roads.

A group of 4 of us did Simon’s Vosges and Alsace trip this September. Basically, everything’s done for you apart from booking Eurotunnel and your preferred hotels.
It really couldn’t be easier.
Everything you need is supplied, even real maps!!

I’ve used Simon Weir’s services on multiple occasions for tour planning, and I genuinely cannot recommend him highly enough.

Simon has planned fantastic tours for me to the Picos de Europa and Portugal, as well as Wales, and is currently putting together a bespoke trip to Corsica.
