I had a genuinely transformative experience working with Simple Batting and Gio. Like most players heading into pre‑season, I initially thought technical tweaks were the answer. Instead, we stripped everything back to the fundamentals—what actually makes my batting effective—and rebuilt from there. The biggest shift came from the mental side: recognising that the ball is the only thing that matters and developing a consistent method to see the ball every single delivery. That simple focus unlocked a level of batting clarity I hadn’t accessed before.

My main blockage had always been converting starts. I’d get in, feel good, and then my concentration would fade. Learning how to stay present ball‑by‑ball became the key to sustaining my run flow state and pushing on to bigger scores.

Through the process, I gained real clarity in three areas:

Pre‑match preparation — knowing exactly how to get myself mentally ready.

My mindset at the crease — staying connected to the ball and the moment.

Post‑match reflection — separating my confidence from individual scores and judging myself on my processes instead.

The impact was huge. I became far less frustrated with low scores because I knew I was preparing the right way and walking out with genuine confidence. Even when I finished my 2025 season with a few low scores and some good balls, my belief didn’t dip. My focus had shifted away from outcomes and onto my preparation, routines, and mental processes—things I can control and will continue to rely on heading into the 2026 season.

Walking out to bat with a smile on my face and free of the usual fears was one of the best feelings I've had on the cricket field.
It helped that my first game after starting the Run Scoring Accelerator I scored 105* off 44 balls in a local T20.

The mindset side of things was what I wanted and expected to get out of this - which I did!
However the technical/fundamental work we've done has honestly transformed my game and made me so excited to go and train and do more drills!

I've enjoyed simple batting as its given me a process driven approach to batting and reduced anxiety and the fear of getting out.. I feel more calm, relaxed and present when im batting and im taking accountability when I get out. Its also given me great fundamentals to focus on when I train and its also given me the motivation to train more consistently. So its been a great experience and I've got so much more clarity when I go out to bat. Its also made batting far more enjoyable so its been great for me and I look forward to more success on the cricket pitch

I joined the run scoring accelerator earlier this year before the start of the season. Within the 1st week of joining I already noticed a massive difference in my approach to batting. The first thing we worked on was the mental aspect. Gio helped me to create a solid process that I applied every time I went to bat.
I achieved a personal best score during my time in the run scoring accelerator and then after a few weeks I decided to join the inner circle in which I also received 1 to 1 support online. Thats where I scored my first 56*(another personal best) in the league. My average went from between 5-10 to 28 this season alone. I also scored most runs in a season this year personally. Joining the inner circle has been the best decision I made for my batting. The material that you have access to is also great and simplifies everything about batting. The community at simple batting ia also fantastic. Everyone has the same goal and sharing knowledge and experiences is invaluable. I would definitely recommend this as it is the most efficient coaching programme I have ever been on. I will be joining the next level and I am very glad that I came across simple batting. Gio's experience and approach to coaching is just fantastic.

After following the course i stopped batting with a negative mindset and played my own game. Resulting in 77* after a few early wickets the first game after following the course

I did the fearless mind workshop, simple and straight forward in terms of understanding and implementation.

Last year I did my 16 week program with Gio. I had good success with 16 week program but I realized I needed more support further to align with my goals. Hence, I enrolled in Batting evolution for continued support. I can only say that it was a very good desicion I made. The support from Gio is amazing and spot on. I feel he doesn't expose you to things you are not ready for yet but at the same time answer all doubts with precision and clarity. I have improved as a batter and can already see how I can improve further with fundamentals as my base. Definitely recommend.

I enrolled my 12 year old into this program in October 2024. He completed 6 months. I followed Gio in social media for few years before joining this program . My son had decent technical background but still after every match we used to look at his technical capability and try to change few things after each failure. After joining this program and going through the videos we understood failure is part of the game worrying about it is going to make us fail more. Also the training and drills are made simple so that we can focus on fundamentals. Some times simple solutions will be boring but actually it works if we do with commitment. The tools provided by this program helps players to focus on what can be controlled during the match. My son had good improvement and this season we had good success. I recommend this .

The programme is one I wish I had had decades ago. It is not complicated, it is inspirational and clear-sighted in its aims. I would recommend it to any batter who wants to enjoy their experience of the game.

I took this course at the beginning of the 2023 season. I had a chat with Gio, and before that, I had seen a few videos on unweighting the bat, which made total sense. After talking to Gio, I was convinced that "The three-step simple batting process" was of great value and bought into the program the same day. Unfortunately, I injured my thumb and couldn't hold the bat the whole season. But I went through all the videos and practised playing fundamentals just by watching the videos after the season was over. My only regret is that I missed the direct feedback on my practice, some exercises, and some guidance due to my circumstances. Other than that, I wholly recommend this course to anyone looking to turn their batting fundamentals and make batting more enjoyable.
