This was my experience with the local MN SimpleSite Company. They promised me that they could replicate my existing website within 2 - 3 weeks, and tried to provide and have me accept a substandard, totally unacceptable bad replication, after 8 months!!! If I could give then ZERO Stars, it would be too many! I am now fighting to get my money back, as they even charged me for completion after 1 month, without my permission and were charging me $99.00 a month for promotion of the horrible website that they tried to push on me! I am filing a complaint with the BBB, as well. 2 words - STAY AWAY!!!

Do not trust this company at all! They are a scam and the owner goes by a fake name to hide his true identity. He has ran other scam companies in the past that have been forced to close due to multiple lawsuits. I went to Simple Site Company to get help with editing my WordPress website, SEO, and company video. They promised to complete the video in 3 weeks as well as the website. I never received the video that they promised. They made promises saying that they would have the video completed by the end of the week. Then at the end of the week the video is still not completed. Then I would ask them again about the video, and they would say that the video will be done tomorrow. Then tomorrow would come and the video will still not be completed. It had already been past 3 weeks. The so-called SEO work they did to the website was useless and made the website look tacky and unprofessional. They just copied and paste a bunch of random text from my website and made a very long paragraph under the footer on every page of my website. When I asked them about this, they said they did it so that each page will have at least 1000 words each for SEO purposes. Also they added links to my competitor's websites as well which really infuriated me. When I gave them information to add to the website, it would contain typos, misaligned text, odd font sizes, random font colors, misspellings, blurry pictures etc. I know what I sent them did not contain these errors. The text looked very messy. Most of the time when I emailed Thomas, the person responsible for the website corrections, about an edit to the website it was usually about correcting a mistake that the edit team made. They also distorted the images of my products on my website. The images of my products on my website looked fine before, and I did not ask them to make any corrections to them. When I told them to correct the damage they had done, they never corrected it. The website editors were in denial about the errors on the website. They told me they were done making corrections and making the additions to the website. When I looked at the work they had done none of what I asked was completed. When I called them about my concerns they did not seem to care, they would usually respond with a very dry "OK." It does not seem like they care about the quality or look of the website. They really made a mess of my website. They refuse to give refunds I went through my bank to try to get refund. Simple Site Company told the bank that they built my website. What a joke! They were just editing the website I had already built. Because of this I did not get my refund. THIS COMPANY STOLE FROM ME AND LIED TO THE BANK! STAY AWAY. I want to start a class action lawsuit.

Great local company! 10/10. I'd recommend Bob and his team to all of my friends, family, and business associates. They stand by their 3-week process. Extremely nice websites with amazing video content and a call to action video. I canceled the monthly subscription that I had with a different web developer to team-up with Bob and his team and they literally saved my business.

These crooks took me for a ride just like all the others! Same with the other companies that have negative reviews The company took my money to build and host a website. Well, SIX MONTHS LATER and my site is still not finished! Called my credit card company to reverse all charges they got back the $99/month hosting fees but t I’m still out the $595 he charged to build a garbage site that’s not even finished. Hadn’t heard from Them in two months then he realized that he wasn’t getting paid a hosting fee, well I’ve gotten no less than 6 calls in 3 days. Do not do business with these crooks. You will be stolen from just like the rest of us.

After 6 months Simple Site Company (not to be confused with the company called Simple Site) never completed my website. Called me after 6 months and said he would not complete the website. Kept my $1500. Will attempt to sue in court but he is well hidden. Obviously he has done this many times before. Buyer be very aware!!

I have hired a lot of web people over the years and this is the first time anyone was able to get me to actually show up online. He showed me a lot of his sites that were ranking well on the search, and now mine is one of them. I rank first in my state (NJ) for my practice specialty. If you are a physician or really any business owner, I highly recommend them, and I am happy to discuss my experience with you if you message me.

Hired them to do a site for my company they promised if they could not get site that we were happy with they would refund . So I told them to proceed they said site would be up in 3 weeks , at 2 weeks they sent script for the video, completely wrong nothing in it right called ,and talked to person explained to him the things wrong didn’t seem able to comprehend what I was telling him. Had to rewrite script myself sent to him he said it was very good , asked him if understood what I wanted he said yes. One week later sent the site for approval just like before completely wrong , called and told him it was all wrong maybe they should have the developer call me so I could explain in Depth what we wanted. He said he would try to edit it , I told him I wanted it up ASAP if possible.Called the person who sold us the plan no return call . Called agin unable to talk to him . After explaining what we were looking for in a site to 3 different people and spending 3 days trying to get a site that meet our needs decided to pull the plug asked for a refund . Owner sends me a email telling me no refund and it was a shame that I wouldn’t have one of his sites. They never gave me a site worth having and would not respond to my calls or email. RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY ARE CHEATERS AND LIARS

They charge under $100 a month. They build you a brand new website. They create a website video/commercial for your website. They do SEO on the website and in many cases, get you to the first page of google. They have several real life examples of this. Plus, they don't lock you into any contracts. Cancel anytime. With any SEO or website company, there is no guarantee that you're going to get a bunch of calls from your website. But they do put a lot of effort in. In most cases, they succeed. They do not rip anybody off and they are definitely not a scam. Their service works well for many companies. It's worth giving them a shot. No other company that Ive seen is going to do everything they do for such a low price.

Terrible company. Did not do anything they said. Do not trust them. Worked with them for over 2 months and did not complete anything. They don't know what they are doing. Dishonest...…… Won't waste anymore of my time but wanted to warn anyone who gets a call from them to hang up quickly. What a great salesman but nothing else!!!! Thanks for nothing.
Update: since posting this review I was contacted by them and asked to remove it. When I refused to bad reviews starting posting for my company. After 14 years of no bad reviews, it seemed quite obvious that I was trying to be bullied to remove my accurate bad review of them. They did refund my money trying to get me to remove it but even though they refunded my money they still wasted 2 months of my time waiting on something promised that never came.

In March 2019, I was sooo lucky to find Bob Hansen, owner of Simple Site Company in Maryland.
I already had a site designed in Wix but it was done on the cheap and didn't look professional enough. It needed to look a lot better, pictures rearranged, fonts consistent and some overall tweaking.

Someone was recommended to me who supposedly knew Wix and I tried and tried working w/ her. I emailed her a list of about 20 things to do - mainly pretty easy things, but every time she fixed something she never checked it to see that she had caused another problem, e.g., moved a picture which I wanted her to do, BUT covered up text with the picture which I didnt want her to do, omitted a line of text, etc. One of the worst was that she added info that I didnt ask for and when I asked for it to be removed said Wix adds it and she couldnt change it. Plus I had links to the Washington Post and two magazine w/ articles about me and my company, and once she started working on the site, those articles had ads on them which had never happened before - even ads for people in the same line of business, so my competitors! I kept on requesting that she change this, but suspect she didnt know how as she never responded to my requests and just ignored them.
I found Bob Hansen, the owner of Simple Site Company in Maryland. He assigned Thomas Moore to help me and Thomas fixed EVERY problem that had been created and did it quickly, professionally and with a GREAT attitude. I am so thankful because my website represented my company and me to the world and to potential clients. The first person didn't seem to care at all. Just left me w/ a mess and went out of town for two weeks, saying she wouldn't be reachable while gone! Unbelievable. I can't tell you how fortunate I feel to have found Bob Hansen and his staff to help me get a PERFECT website!!
