MTDis the biggest change to Self Assessment in decades. From April 2026, landlords and sole traders with qualifying income over £50,000 must keep digital records and send quarterly updates to HMRC, followed by a Final Declaration, with the £30,000 threshold following in April 2027. It's designed specifically for landlords, not adapted from generic accounting software, so it handles quarterly updates and the Final Declaration in a clear, step-by-step way, with short video guides at each stage. SimplifyMTD is officially recognised by HMRC and appears on the government's list of compatible software, so you can file with confidence that your submissions meet HMRC's requirements.
