The new Six Senses in The Whiteley London is quite an experience!

We visited newly opened Six Senses London at The Whiteley at the weekend. The hotel is beautiful, with interesting artworks throughout, spa and members' club as well as London's first biohacking health centre. What most impressed us was their deep commitment to sustainability, carefully explained to us by Georges Andria: bottled water banned from the hotel and replaced with filtered water served in terracotta pots; toys and uniforms made from recycled and recyclable materials; furniture constructed from natural waste materials, such as fallen trees. Georges introduced us to the Executive Chef, who had spent 2 years prior to opening travelling the UK visiting farms and sourcing natural and local foods. This is a really special place and I can't wait for my next visit

Six senses garden party - Not Recommended d

Six senses promoted their 10th year celebration publicly and sold tickets 165€/person announcing they’d provide a unique experience.

The true:
- We arrived in a small attachment of the building, had the poorest food choice and quality we had for a while (photos atatched), floor of land for car and feet without proper conditions, nothing to drink except wine and water, almost nothing to eat and you had to pick the food yourself waiting 15 min in a queue stand up. No fireworks or anniversary cake as advertised.

We honestly had big expectations regarding six senses but it’s just impossible not to be extremely disappointed. It would be fair to call it the scam of the year.

Be warned

There are saw scale vipers in the resort area of their Zighy Bay hotel - they promote guest hiking through the snake’s habitat with no warning of their possible presence- this resulted in a near fatal snake bite - be warned. When challenged they lied.

Six Senses Laamu (Maldives) - a little bit of paradise

We had an excellent week in this special resort. Our Guest Experience Maker Abdulla was fantastic; our Dive instructor Yi-Jun Liao (Dottie) was thorough, patient, professional, knowledgeable and exuded confidence. The Management team were visible and helpful, particularly Lawrence. So, warm seas, fantastic food, no bugs or mosquitos or dangerous animals, comfortable accommodation, attentive perpetually cheerful, can-do staff (nothing was impossible!). A wonderful experience made very special by the Six Sense Laamu employees. Thanks very much.
