Fabulous cruise & great customer service

Booked a fantastic cruise today with Lisa Paterson. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable and helpful, she was really friendly. Lisa researched our criteria and came back to us with various options, which we really appreciated. The service Lisa provided was excellent and we’ll certainly contact her the next time we are booking a cruise. She provided us with the cruise we wanted at the price we could afford. Brilliant !

Booked a cruise with Six Star Cruises…

Booked a cruise with Six Star Cruises yesterday and spoke to Lisa Paterson who couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly and professional. So much so that my special requests ( flights from regional airport) were resolved immediately and I confirmed the cruise within one phone call, never done that before. Don’t use Clare Haselhurst

Used Clare Haselhurst. Terrible customer service from her. Worst experience. I had to have major back surgery and was unable to go on the trip we had booked through her. She had zero interest in helping us navigate trying to cancel, never once had any empathy. Not once was there an “I’m sorry” or anything. Disappeared for about a week and miraculously reappeared once the deadline to get anything back passed. Use someone else.

Ahhh, if only Clare had been as quick to respond then things might not have been so awful. She was slow to respond to any inquiries. In fact a friend that wanted to join our group on the trip messaged Clare to see about how to do that. Clare took days to respond then never followed up. My friend gave up after trying to contact her a couple more times. Another person in our group inquired as to how to alter an excursion. It was like pulling teeth to get her to help. She finally said that their request couldn’t be done. Once they were on the ship they were told it was very easy to do and that there was no issue. Clare comes across (to me at least) as lazy. I stand by my suggestion to not use her. The other 6 people in our group were very unimpressed with her as well.

Claire did speak with your husband when he called to advise us of your medical needs and offered her sympathies regarding your situation. Due to time restraints, you were within the cruise line’s cancellation policy therefore a refund was not possible.

Claire’s advice under these circumstances was to contact your travel insurance provider, unfortunately, we understand you had not taken out travel insurance, which limited the options available. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance at the time of booking to protect against unexpected circumstances.

At Six Star Cruises we take all feedback seriously and hope that you recovering well.


Thank you for sharing your further comments. We would like to clarify that Claire is a valued member of our team and is certainly not lazy. She works hard to assist guests and provide the best possible service. While we understand that communication delays can occasionally occur, we are reviewing this to ensure improvements are made.
To provide context, a call was made on 1st October during which Claire expressed her understanding of the situation. When booking through a UK agent, Riviera advises that all guests should have travel insurance from the time of booking to protect against cancellations or unforeseen events. Unfortunately, at the time of making the booking a few weeks earlier, the cruise had already reached a stage where cancellation would result in a 100% loss.
If anyone else from your group would like to share their own experience, they are welcome to write a review as well. We take all feedback seriously and use it to improve our service for future guests.

Rebecca was excellent in dealing with our questions. Very proactive with no pressure to book We were deal with in such a professional way that we decided to transfer our on board booking to her. Will certainly look at using her for future bookings

Our concierge Manager Elizabeth has been working very hard to help us find the best cruise for us. She is an excellent person who will go out of her way and spend time in looking for the best deal. Six Star experience

We booked our cruise with our concierge Elizabeth Wright who was extremely helpful. The booking was unable to be completed and was put on a wait list despite availability being shown on the website. Elizabeth dealt with it and kept us fully updated ensuring we booked the cruise as advertised.

Helpful, efficient and competitively priced
