Great experience from start to finish.
Very easy to get setup, installed the app, made reservation the day before and everything was ready when we arrived. 24 hour return was nice as our flight was early.

you'll never see your deposit back
Worst company I ever rented a car with. We never saw our deposit back even half a year later, they just refuse to refund it.
We rented via Booking.com. When we arrived at the service desk to get the car, they charged us multiple extra chargers that were not well explained on booking.com.
Then we had to pay deposit. We paid via ING card, a Dutch DEBIT card, not credit. Ok. We returned the car, received confirmation is all ok. Then the deposit never came. Contacted customer support, they keep insisting the deposit was never taken out of the card (despite sending them bank statements), they say they were only holding that amount and "released it" after we returned the car. I keep telling them we paid DEBIT, it was literally taken out of our card and never returned, and they still insist that they "released it, and money never left our card". Total bullshit.
On top of that, we received 3 invoices, each stating different amounts. After WE reached out to them, of course they said the highest one is the actual one, even though it doesnt match booking.com. Then they said to reach booking.com for reinbursement, and booking.com said reach to Sixt for reimbursement :)))))))))))
NEVER had such issues with any other companies

All very good, just a problem with SIXT, in all my last rental experiences, I always had a "feeling" that expend more than necessary for the rental process.
Always it was necessary to change the proposed car.
=> no instead a GREAT experience at SIXT pay Euro 30.00 more per day to up grade a BMW 3 Series for a BMW X2?
No friends... no.... (I am very sorry, but I am not kid, I know BMW in details)
I did it (accept to change car) because safety reasons, I am driving BMW in Brazil for many years!
I am very familiar in to drive in Europe, but I always prefer to drive BMW => I like this brand and in case of emergency (I hope that I don't need it), I clear know the car reaction.
Funny:
A "merchandizing" for this car at SIXT is to have 170CV... smiles, I drive a M4 in Brazil, I also have a X3 for daily use...
Important:
Very good support at SIXT, no complain on that, just a point I very well know BMW products... I just paid this additional amount because it doesn't make difference for me and 2 months ago I rented a Volvo (also with your company in Italy), but I didn't like that car... today another Volvo was available for me.
In summary:
No instead a great support from SIXT, I am feeling "used by your company".
Can I pay it? Yes, I can
Should I do it?
No, because it damages my feeling with your company and damage my rental car process feeling.
Next time I will try other company.
Note:
I already had a problem with your company when I did a tentative in to rent a Z4 => I would like test this car before to purchase one in Brazil.

Really good service at the counter and worries free rental, All take. Care of, support available for support and I could drive with UAE license. In the same day I had a reservation in Italy Rental Car at the Fiumicino airport and the experience was so bad, and they didn’t take my driving license, so I had to do another reservation with Sixt which then had a completely different experience, 100x better honestly

Sixt personnel in all Italian airports is always kind, helpful and proactive.
Prices are in line with the market, but generally speaking they offer well kept, well equipped vehicles, and almost always a variety of choices within the same class.
