Not Professional

This is our honest review after working with Alex from SkillMammoth.

Alex was hired to create and deploy an end to end automation system for us. At the beginning, he mentioned the project would take around 2 weeks to complete. However, it ended up taking nearly 2 months.

We made 100% payment upfront without negotiation because we wanted him to work comfortably and focus on delivering quality work. Unfortunately, the final outcome did not meet expectations.

After delivery, our internal team conducted testing and identified errors across 16 pages in a Google Doc. It felt as though our team was doing the quality assurance work that should have already been completed before delivery. Despite sharing these errors multiple times, many of them were not properly resolved.

There were also repeated delays, and deliverables were not provided on the promised deadlines. Communication around timelines and fixes was inconsistent.

From a technical perspective, the automation setup was not structured efficiently. Instead of using proper array aggregators in Make, basic modules and Make AI modules were used in places where they were not necessary. This increased credit consumption, added complexity, and slowed execution time. Separate modules were created for individual variables rather than implementing a more optimized structure. Even after multiple revisions, the system accuracy was still inconsistent during runs.

Additionally, we expected professional guidance on the best approach and system architecture, but proactive recommendations were largely missing.

We are sharing this review so others considering working with Alex can clearly define deadlines, scope, system complexity, and technical approach before starting. We have since transitioned the project to another company, who identified core issues within 1 hour on a live call and resolved most of them within 1 day.

This was not the experience we expected, and we hope this feedback helps others make an informed decision.
