Slow/expensive shipping, short expiration date
I often buy from online dental suppliers. Skydental happened to have an item that my usual companies didn’t have in stock at the moment, so I decided to place an order with them, just this once, and included some other items I was running low on, just so that I didn’t make them package a shipment with just one item in it. At checkout, I was surprised to learn that regular shipping (ground) cost $19.99. My other companies always offer free shipping over a certain amount (free shipping with a 40 dollar order). But since I needed that one item, I went ahead and paid the $20 and placed the order. A week went by, no shipment notification. Another week, no notification, no package. So I called the company to check the status, and they said, “oh, that’s going out today”. Almost 3 weeks after placing the order, I finally received my package. I opened it to find that one of the items was due to expire in October (it was now end of May). It’s a rarely used product that should have a shelf life of at least a year, not less than 6 months.
I am beyond dissatisfied with this company’s lack of priority in shipping my almost $300 order, and in the disrespect in sending a soon-to-expire product. Would not order from here again unless I was desperate for something. Would not recommend.
