Skylum is a scummy company. I bought 2 products from them with lifetime licenses. Neither product will open anymore. Customer service told me that they don't support those programs anymore. That's fine, but I still should be able to use them in their last updated version. They tried to sell me their latest program. Why would I buy another one of their products with a "lifetime" license only to have it become obsolete and unusable?

When the latest update prevented my NEO software from opening, I contacted customer support. Within hours they replied with some steps to aid them in identifying the problem. It turned out to be some out-of-date drivers, and they then provided step-by-step directions to update them. Finally, it required an uninstall and reinstall for which they again provided detailed instructions. Back up and running. I always find their tech support to be very responsive and efficient. Thank you.

Today I had that awful situation of not being able to access my Luminar Neo app and library full of years of images. Guess we've all been there before. Lost passwords and resets not working either.
Thankfully Viktoriia from the support team at Skylum knew exactly what the issue was and before long, only minutes, I'm good to go again. I would just like to say a BIG thank you to Viktoriia, who I will say is both knowledgeable and very efficient and a fine example of great customer service in action. By the way, if you want the best photo editor in town, Luminar Neo is what you are looking for. Highly recommended.

I've used Luminar Neo since it's was introduced, but it suddenly failed to load after a Windows update (not sure that was the caus). The tech support from Skylum was the best I've ever received. The instructions worked in getting Neo back, but it was the clarity in what to do and how to proceed made a difficult process easy to follow. I had very experienced IT people help me in my career before retiring, and they were excellent at keeping the tech running. But most lacked the ability to explain to you how to fix the issues remotely. They usually had to come down and do it themselves. Olena and the Skylum team gave me the information I needed in a clear and concise set of instructions, complete with illustrations, and I was able to get Neo back on. Excellent service I would recommend to anyone.

Skylum’s business model is built on "gotcha" tactics. Despite requesting a refund a mere 30 minutes after an automatic renewal charge, I was flatly denied.
They hide behind fine print to justify keeping money for a service I no longer want, citing that "auto-renewal is on by default" as their shield. Standing firmly behind a policy that ignores common-sense customer service is absurd. Since they refuse to do the right thing, I will be disputing this charge with my bank.
I look forward to the inevitable, robotic copy-paste response below.

I bought Luminar Neo a few years ago and I have a lifetime licence, the reason I am giving one star is that all the new features are not available unless you pay extra, As a lifetime licence holder I should be able to download updates with the new features and not pay more

Hello, I am a self taught amateur lover of photography. Being a Mac user, I have used the editing tools that come with the Photos app. Also Lightroom Cloud. I have been using Luminar Mobile for over a year with excellent results. Recently, at the Luminar Mobile app I received an offer for Luminar Neo. I purchased the basic one through the app which means it was bought at the Apple Store. I encountered certain problems with Luminar Neo when trying to edit photos from the Photos app in Luminar Neo (with the extension) and trying to return the edited photo to the original Photos app. I found out online that the Luminar Neo Apple Store version was perhaps not as complete as the Luminar directly purchased at Skylum.com. That's when I contacted Luminar Support and an angel called Tetiana came to my rescue. She understood my problems perfectly, answered all my questions and explained the various Luminar versions in detail. Dedicated time generously to my issues. I then decided to give up and cancel my subscription via Apple Store. With Tetiana´s friendly and highly professional assistance and guidance I decided to subscribe directly at Skylum.com the Luminar Neo Max version. Tetiana took me through each step to do it correctly, detailing every stage in her emails. I believe that without her personal human touch and brilliant technical explanations and guidance, I would have probably not acquired the Luminar Neo Max program and simply given up the Luminar desktop experience. I am currently going through the first lessons of the Anthony Turnham course. Not that I expect to master it in all its details, but it's interesting to learn about the power of Luminar and Anthony is such good an entertaining tutor that it's a pleasure to follow his course. The interchange with Tetiana also triggered my interest in Skylums fabulous history and the group's efforts to keep going during this difficult war times. Ukraine in general and the Skylum team in particular are a an example of courage and determination to us all. My thanks to all the support team and to Tetiana in particular, you have made me feel part of this great Skylum experience and I wish you all continued future success. Carlos

Skylum auto-renewed my subscription without my explicit permission and then refused to resolve it. That’s not just bad service—it feels unethical and borderline illegal. I’ve seen many others reporting the same issue online.
They will respond with their bullshit company fairness policy....Fair? They wont credit my credit card the day i see the charge appear on my credit card. they know i havent even downloaded or used the software (Luminar NEO - garbage)in over a year. Pathetic!

Just purchased Luminar Neo and was having some trouble getting the installation starred. I contacted the support team and within ten minutes Viktoriia had me up and running. As for the app, I have only used it briefly, but it seems very intuitive and easy to use.
