Skyscanner GREAT, but AVOID AVOID AVOID agent GO-TO-GATE is

Skyscanner is GREAT - we use it for dozens of flights a year. BUT they need to be aware / take action about truly AWFUL agents that they recommend for the tickets. Case in point GO TO GATE. Skyscanner lists these people as a reliable supply, giving several stars & reassuring services.

NOT IN MY EXPERIENCE!!!

The ONLY way any customer would give even * for these people is if they never have to contact them after booking! It's near impossible to get CS.
1 Customer "NO Service" ONLY has NO-REPLY emails. 2 They DO NOT give you a phone number in your destination country. Useless when we've arrived on the other side of the world.
3 The "chat service" guy was polite but had no clue.
4 Unlike others, GTG DO NOT have ANY dedicated contact lines for Business / First Class passengers.
5 So when you do try to phone about your €5000 ticket - at roaming charges of ££ a minute - you sit on the line TWENTY-PLUS mins in the queue with everyone else's $100 query.
6 When you finally are connected, they listen & promise to sort out your issue (I merely wanted to change the date of a flight) then NOTHING HAPPENS.
7 The airline had already told me "No Problem, probably No Charge on your €5000 class BUT your agent has to ask us".
8 FIVE times over 3 days I called CRAP TO GATE. EACH time I had to give them the same info. ONLY when I started asking for Manager's names and being assertive instead of polite did I finally get this simple change made. Many hours & £ wasted!
9 and the kicker then was that GTG (not the airline) charged me ONE THOUSAND EUROS! for the date change.
10 now I look on the Net and I see MANY MANY similar tirades about GTG.

Skyscanner should ONLY include agents whose:
1 advertised services they have checked EXIST
2 that the agent does not have a record of serious complaints from serious people.

Of course, skyscanner works on commission. Well, guess what, don't expect ANY of our people to use you again unless & until you take action against mis-representing agents. That's tens of thousands in tickets a year you're losing. Thank you

Stone age

If u wanna search for flexible dates, when it shows the table for the selected month - in our case Barcelona - Puerto Rico - it only shows some random price, that can be cheaper, or that can actually be more expensive at the end...:(:s But really it shows a very few one... Like 10 for the whole month? The rest of the days are empty... Sg like that... And if u choose one, for the return it only shows 1-2 options, 1-2 price, but it happened that it didnt show nothing...:(:( So basicly the month table says there is no way back in that month... BUT! If u click on the day, than it shows the prices... So basicliy u have to check every day one by one, ignoring what the month table shows... Like in the stone age!:((((

To give some background, the prices shown on the month page are only estimates, which are always indicated. These estimates are based on prices collected from searches made over the past 4 days. The more searches completed for a particular route, the more accurate the estimates become. If the calendar displays limited prices, it may be due to insufficient data for the selected route at that time.

When you select specific dates and moving to the results page, the most up-to-date, "live" fares available from the airlines and travel agents are always shown to ensure the best accuracy. These prices are updated in real time as the page loads, which is why they may differ from the estimates on the month page.

We aim to provide the most accurate information possible and are continuously working to improve this feature's accuracy and clarity.

Find great deals on flights

Better than expected! I had some doubts about using a third-party travel booking agency, but Skyscanner made the process really easy and affordable. I was able to find great deals on flights. I would definitely recommend Skyscanner to anyone looking for a good deal on travel.

I bought ticket from them and ir was 3…

I bought ticket from them and ir was 3 times more expensive than directly from the air line and they claimed it was the cheapest to be found.
total rip-off.

terrible car hire experience

I thought the companies registered within skyscanner was reliable,trustable but with my experience it was absolutely the opposite.I booked a car hire through skyscanner ,under them agency named stressfreecar rental {what a wrong name,should be stresfull car rental} to collect the car from Izmir airport.The car provider was called T-rent car rental. First of all it was not at the airport .They took me to somewhere far from the airport after long flight in heat.T-rent claimed they were not able to collect deposit from Visa Credit Card and they blamed me having wrong card {I rented cars from various places in the world with same card with no problem at all.it has £5000 limit}But he said if I paid extra money for insurance it would be ok .And he gave the price for 3 times the value of car rental itself.I argued it saying its not reasonable at all and he should be able to take deposit{i dont have to buy insurance from them btw} and also showed him I already bought insurance from stressfree car rental .He rejected and cancelled my booking adding that it would be easy to rent the car anyway to someone else that time as it was holiday time in Turkey with very high demand.He basically didnt want to give me the car with preagreed price and tried to get more money{kind of rip off} in different ways claiming fake reasons and rejecting valid credit card for deposit.So its cancelled.I ended up with no car ,in the middle of nowhere ,with 38 degree.I emailed Stressfree car rental the same evening ,explaining what happened and claimed my money back as I was unreasonably rejected by their providers.They asked my credit card details,I gave them .They were incompetent to say the card is ok but they said they raise the case against provider..10 days since then ,no result nor any money refunded. So I am totally unhappy with stressfree car rental and their provider T-rent car rental,not only because I paid £52 in total and had no service at all but also suffered that they being left without a car in the middle of nowhere ,in addition to not being able to finalise my plans I made with the car.Totally terrible experience and I dont know how Skyscanner works with companies like stressfree car rental or T-rent car rental .I wouldnt rent a car through Skycanner for sure

Advertised flights are not available.

I have for over a week tried numerous times to book two business flights to New Zealand with China Eastern, through several Companies. Each time, after filling in all of our details, I am told the flights are unavailable & then get the hassle of phone calls & Emails trying to sell me more expensive flights with other Airlines. This is despite me filling in their survey after each attempt, stating the flights are unavailable. It is unacceptable that they continue to advertise these flights.

SkyScanner as a whole provides…

SkyScanner as a whole provides excellent service. However, I'll recommend the removal of Polani Travels operating as Flight Catcher Ltd as a third party agent on your platform.

I am disappointed in the service I received after purchasing my ticket I kept receiving emails of changes to my flight and was asked to make an additional payment which made no sense. The couldn't assure me of my travel schedule despite making full payment.

Skyscanner was effective and nice in solving problems with eDreams

Skyscanner very effectively and nicely and fast helped me solve a problem eDreams travel agency had caused me and was trying avoiding facing.

This enforces the good experience I've always had with them - so they now and forever probably stay as my number one choice company in finding the best solution on airplane passages.

This has got to be the easiest way to do it

This has got to be the easiest way to find all the information needed to book your flight. Even non techies like me can use it. You can also request price alerts and subscribe to email for loads of information. Beware once you start using you will plan extra trips!
