Good Price, fair product, terrible service.
Purchased a mattress using Wowcher as a conduit. The price was right, the product seemed good, but the customer service was awful.
The product had a £20 delivery charge and was purchase on the 11th with a delivery arranged for 20th March (at the latest).
It didn't arrive on that day so I contacted the team, who were polite, but told me that they cannot achieve the deadlines, and it was Wowcher who obligated them to add these.
We had taken time off work and got rid of the old mattress to receive this, but were told that the new mattress wasn't even shipped until the 21st.
Having not arrived by the 23rd, I tried to contact the company again, but received no response. I left an email, explaining the predicament, how we had taken days off work and had no mattress at the time for several days. I received no response, but within the hour, received a message from the delivery company saying the mattress would be delivered on the 21st (this was the 23rd already) and in a follow up SMS was told the item would be delivered on the 28th and if I did not accept this, there could be a further 14 day delay.
I tried to ask for a time change so that we could arrange to have someone at the house, but was abruptly told by the delivery team that this wasn't an option.
Unceremonious bordering on rude is the best I can say about this part of the interaction, but my hands were tied.
This morning, the mattress arrived at 6:10 AM.
Fortunately, our daughter was at the house and hadn't been sleeping, due to the lack of a mattress anyway, but this was a final ludicrous nail in a terrible service coffin.
The 2nd order cost and inconvenience around this purchase, and the very poor service and follow up, left me wishing that I had invested elsewhere, even at a higher price.
Let's hope the product stands up to the test, because the service certainly didn't.
