Avoid!!!! I was lured by the website and reassurances of fast despatch and prompt responses to emails but that’s all a front. They confirmed the order, took our money and surprise surprise order was never sent and they don’t respond to emails messages or phone calls. No refund of course. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.
Ordered in September 24 some frozen sloes and then pre-order some sloes and damsons.
Frozen ones came quickly but now silence for the others.
After 10 months and many many emails I only received one reply. Saying they would be due soon but could send me some frozen ones instead. Then silence again and I've move house so asking for a refund.
If anyone has any information on who this David is or a company name/ address please let me know as I'm happy to take this further.
I ordered my sloes back in February - 4lbs. I still haven’t received them (May). I have complained, sent 3 emails and they have completely ignored me. I have tried calling and can’t get through.
Received mushy and mouldy sloe berries. Contacted seller ..he was extremely rude and asked what did I expect so late in the season? Reluctantly offered replacement which has not arrived. Furthermore, no further response when I attempted to contact providing photographic evidence. I wanted to wash the sloe berries but was told that they would be fine they were just surrounded by pig farms so alcohol would kill any germs! They were slimy and mouldy. £18.88 for 2lbs ..they didn't even weigh that much. Bay £9 for perfect berries. Avoid this person. Since this post refunded me but accused me of being a liar!
Appalling service and rude customer support- ordered in good faith and the sloes didn't turn up or get despatched so I requested a refund.
The response I got from D MACK was:
"Order cancelled, suggest you read the shipping terms in future before sending disparaging emails, they are on the website!!"
Berries arrived while we were away on holiday, so mouldy by the time we got home. Emailed sloeberries and the response was arrogant and dismissive - I was a second time customer but will never use them again.
After leaving a review on 9th October and with further communication regarding our order for 20lb of sloes we have finally received a reply and not at all helpful or positive!! We received an email today, after 4 attempts of communication with David the owner, and his response was rude and nonchalant and basically, he denied all responsibility in sorting the problem claiming that he had sorted 100 orders before ours so there couldnt be a problem with our sloes. We will not order from this company again since there are many other sloe sites who are better to deal with..we are very disappointed and have wasted £128
