Great Experience



We are so very pleased with this company that bends over backwards to make sure their customers are satisfied. We have a story to share and we give them 5 stars.

We ordered a custom leather & color chair in January. We ordered the chair early because I was having major surgery in July, wanted a good chair to recover in, and custom orders take time to fill. All went smoothly. The chair was delivered in April; the time we were told it would arrive. The chair was perfect. Color great and leather soft. It was perfect. The delivery people were great and careful. We were so satisfied that we ordered a second chair.

Then the first chair’s hardware— the slide- the apparatus that allows the recliner to recline broke. Mr. Amat bent over backwards to get the second chair to us in time for my surgery even offering to front us an in-stock chair while we waited for the second chair. Fortunately, the second chair did arrive prior to my surgery. The first chair (under warranty) was picked up at time of delivery of the second chair and the original purchase money was promptly refunded. We couldn’t be happier.

RUN From SL Recliner!

CONSUMER ALERT: I Was Robbed by SL Recliners (Designer Home Comfort) - Learn From My $3,000 Mistake.

I received my $3,000 chair with cosmetic damage straight out of the box. Hoping for a fair solution, I contacted SL Recliner -- but after nearly three months of delays and false promises, the situation only became worse.

The first technician they sent had no knowledge of the Stressless brand and ended up leaving the chair completely unusable after severely abusing the frame with a hammer and by force.
Instead of repairing anything, he seriously damaged the chair, making it worse than when it first arrived.

I provided clear photo and video evidence of the technician's abuse and the damage caused. Despite this, SL Recliner refused to offer a proper resolution.

Throughout the process, Chloe Bacon, their sales representative, acted as the intermediary between my case and Mr. Michael Amat (the owner and founder of Designer Home Comfort).
According to Chloe, Mr. Michael is only giving me two options that are unacceptable:
1. Accept the visit of a second technician (which I rejected, because the chair had already been rendered unusable after the first technician's abuse), or
2. Close the case, as if nothing had ever happened.

Mr. Michael made it very clear that no refund and no replacement would be offered under any circumstances.

This entire experience has caused me severe stress and has seriously affected my mental health.
At this point, I am considering legal action, but what I will ABSOLUTELY do is make public their dishonesty and the theft of my money to warn other consumers.

I STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST TRUSTING THIS COMPANY!
I paid for a brand-new item, not a defective chair that would require multiple technicians coming to my home to attempt repairs.
"Mr. Michael Amat & SL Recliners Broke My Trust, My Chair, and Tried to Bury the Case -- BE WARNED!"

EDITED: It seems Designer Home Comfort removed my review from their website (slrecliners). That review included photos and videos showing how their technician damaged the chair and left it unusable. I’ve also been blocked from their Facebook page. I believe this is an attempt to silence negative feedback and hide dishonest business practices from the public. I WILL NOT REMAIN SILENT. I will continue sharing my experience on platforms where they have no power to censor the truth.

Visited their website looking for a…

Visited their website looking for a recliner, didnt enter any personal information. Later that eveening i checked my google email account and i was allready getting spam from SLrecliners even thought they didnt have my email. How would one trust this company with any of their information.

We love all our stressless furniture…

We love all our stressless furniture purchased online from Slrecliners.com. We bought 2 Medium Sized Stressless Admiral recliners in Paloma Light Grey, A Stressless Wave Loveseat and a Stressless Double Ottoman all to match. The prices were great and all were Quick Ship except the Ottoman that came a little later. The products are wonderful - so durable and comfortable and look great in our modern apartment. I especially appreciated the help from customer service to have the ottoman delivered by UPS instead of a delivery service - it worked out a lot better for us that way. Overall a wonderful experience and we get a lot of compliments on our choices. I would highly recommend Slrecliners!

Processing fee for cancelled item 12 hrs later…

I placed an order last night at 8:13pm for a Stressless office chair in the amount of $3720.60. The next morning, I noted that there was a clearance section with a chair I preferred, but upon further inspection realized it was not the desired height needed. I corresponded with this business during the course of my work day inquiring and then asking for the original order to be cancelled at 8:13am this morning (12 hrs after I placed an order that would take between 5-7 weeks to arrive). I intended to revisit the website when I had more time, however, it was at this moment that I received an email warning me that if I didn’t do an exchange for an alternate item, I would be subject to a 10 percent processing fee. As I inquired further, it felt like a pressure tactic to not lose the sale. I was then told that his company pays fees on purchases and that is why I would lose this money. Over $370 for a processing fee for an order that could not possibly have been ordered or cued yet seems very suspicious to me. As a business owner who also uses credit card processing, I find this deeply suspicious. As I explained I would share this practice information with my colleagues as they would likely need to know this and potentially take their business elsewhere...all of a sudden the fee is cut to 5 percent as a courtesy. It feels like I tipped him 5% for nothing.... And did I mention that this is a company that was accepting donations for St Jude as part of their promotional offer. Curious if any of my processing fee finds it’s way there. This is shockingly poor customer service, and I would not feel comfortable purchasing anything from this store or suggesting anyone put their trust here. Buyer Beware.
