RUN From SL Recliner!
CONSUMER ALERT: I Was Robbed by SL Recliners (Designer Home Comfort) - Learn From My $3,000 Mistake.
I received my $3,000 chair with cosmetic damage straight out of the box. Hoping for a fair solution, I contacted SL Recliner -- but after nearly three months of delays and false promises, the situation only became worse.
The first technician they sent had no knowledge of the Stressless brand and ended up leaving the chair completely unusable after severely abusing the frame with a hammer and by force.
Instead of repairing anything, he seriously damaged the chair, making it worse than when it first arrived.
I provided clear photo and video evidence of the technician's abuse and the damage caused. Despite this, SL Recliner refused to offer a proper resolution.
Throughout the process, Chloe Bacon, their sales representative, acted as the intermediary between my case and Mr. Michael Amat (the owner and founder of Designer Home Comfort).
According to Chloe, Mr. Michael is only giving me two options that are unacceptable:
1. Accept the visit of a second technician (which I rejected, because the chair had already been rendered unusable after the first technician's abuse), or
2. Close the case, as if nothing had ever happened.
Mr. Michael made it very clear that no refund and no replacement would be offered under any circumstances.
This entire experience has caused me severe stress and has seriously affected my mental health.
At this point, I am considering legal action, but what I will ABSOLUTELY do is make public their dishonesty and the theft of my money to warn other consumers.
I STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST TRUSTING THIS COMPANY!
I paid for a brand-new item, not a defective chair that would require multiple technicians coming to my home to attempt repairs.

EDITED: It seems Designer Home Comfort removed my review from their website (slrecliners). That review included photos and videos showing how their technician damaged the chair and left it unusable. I’ve also been blocked from their Facebook page. I believe this is an attempt to silence negative feedback and hide dishonest business practices from the public. I WILL NOT REMAIN SILENT. I will continue sharing my experience on platforms where they have no power to censor the truth.
