Charged twice by AA SmartCare for Interim service and Mot and their refusal to payback…
Had my car collected from AA SmartCare for interim service and Mot 31st July 2025. The car was collected and returned the same day. The garage charged me twice for the service and mot. First charge £149.53 arrived a week later and was paid via credit card. Second charge arrived 4 weeks later for £230.67 withdrawn from my account without consent. I have made over 10 calls to the company and sent over 4 emails to Customer Services trying to get a refund. Emails to Customer Services said they are looking into the matter and will get back to me some point in the future. Each time i call the Call centre i get a different agent and i have to explain the situation over and over again. Their response is they will file a form to raise the credit back into my account in the sum of £149.53. But the money is still outstanding and not reached my bank account. I'm at my wits end of what to do next. This is very stressful. The service took place in July 2025 and we are nearing the end of October. Can anyone assist in getting the company to repay or advise on the best way forward ?
