Smart start is cheaper than most…

Smart start is cheaper than most companies but when it comes to getting your oil changed they want the mechanics to jump through hoops to be able to do that instead of just giving them a code to bypass to do a simple oil change. The guy fixing my lockout do to the oil change told to call and put a ticket in to see if they would refund my 80.00 dollars. Well that did not happen and basically told me to keep all my paperwork to proof to the court it was not a violation on my end.

This is the smartest safest interlick…

This is the smartest safest interlick company I have used. Great customer service 24/7 and you can actually communicate to them that you’re having issues and they will work with you. Road Gaurd and Intoxalock are your death sentence unfortunately

I was lied to

I was lied to , they said there system was easy to use and no camera. Well I can’t blow and hum and there is a camera……….i called immediately and and told them I can’t use there system and had to have it removed.. so I paid $250 to install, $50 to the company, now they want $277 to remove and the garage wants $150 to take it out …smart start should be shut down over this !!!!!!! This is not over ! I will continue leaving bad reviews until my money is refunded

I am going on year 3 of 5 on the Smart…

I am going on year 3 of 5 on the Smart Start BAIDD. The shop I get serviced at has been nothing but great but the company itself is bleeding it's customers for all it can. It started out at $86 a month which was a pinch to the wallet but doable. Last year the company decided it would no longer pay the servicer fee out of that amount and I would need to pay him the $35 out of pocket to get their equipment read. Now they are saying the state of Illinois sales tax is not coming out of that amount either so it went up another $8 dollars. So for $86 all I get is to lease a piece of equipment that has left me stranded multiple times of the car not starting until i disconnect and reconnect the battery and the camera on it works 1/4 of the time. The app is useless, as well. It will tell you that no amount is due and when your next appointment date is but don't believe it. I was 2 months behind due to following app and had to play catch up. The owner of the company is getting rich off of those that are struggling to regain control of their life's. Sick.

During my visit to the Boone

During my visit to the Boone, NC service center two appointments ago, I encountered a concerning discrepancy in advice regarding my car's locking issues. When I reached out to your call center, a technician explicitly instructed me never to unplug my handheld device. However, upon discussing this with the technician at the Boone location, named Chris, he provided contradictory advice. When I mentioned the guidance given by your online technician and the service center in Asheville, NC, Chris reacted defensively and rudely. He expressed his displeasure with my feedback by stating, "If you have a problem with me, go somewhere else." I had no intention of causing any conflict; rather, I simply wanted to ensure consistent and accurate information was provided to customers. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I have decided not to return to the Boone, NC service center for any future assistance. I have also shared my concerns on various online platforms to bring attention to the representation of your product. Thank you for considering my feedback.

SCAM!!!!!

This scam of a business doesn't deserve a star ever. This device they came up with is designed to help people to keep the drivers license so they can continue to work an take care of thier every day needs. But smart start has done nothing to help people they are the disrespectful people I have ever talk to an when people need them the most they talk to u like your a nobody. This device has went into violation mode 4 times when I wasn't in the car we file complaint an they try to make up other reasons why it goes off an every reason is at my fault never once they say it's the device fault. It's like they wait until the know your out of the car an it's not running an they set the device to go into a violation.An we know for a fact we was not in the car. That's how I know by 💯 fact that they are stealing money from the clients. Because they refuse to provide me with evidence that I was in the car. They get very defensive when u tell them to provide evidence an get really hatful with u. Very unprofessional I think it's like u are talking to a bunch of people who never knows the facts an how to answer a question with respect. All the signs are there for a scam to take your money. They don't care if your struggling an got jobs to get to or anything at that matter. They just want your money that they just scammed u out of an don't care what they got to put u through to get it. If anyone else has reached out to a lawyer about this scam plz let me know because I will not stop until they are out of business and hopefully in jail for what they have done to me an my family an many others that I read about in the comments Everyone that has been effective by this needs
to all get on board together and take this smart start scamming company down. ASAP....

Like pulling teeth

As if trying to jump through legal loops isn’t stressful enough, this business hasn’t helped at all. I’ve spent nealy six hours collectively on hold with them trying to get very important info so I could drive, get documents, etc.
The payment through the app system is clunky and confusing. My experience with them has left me wondering almost constantly if any of this is working correctly.

In my review on the North Carolina 9 Dundas Cir Greensboro, NC, 27409 the service center associate (John ) usually has his little sarcastic mouth but this morning he was being as being A and nasty as he has done unprofessionally. the matter was clear on my end. but he had acted as if I had offended him or lied to him I am a grown man in my mid -50 s not a child and I felt like there is some bias there at that center that should be addressed with that service center but, we are talking about North Carolina and the way people are so shallow and closed-minded but I what to alert other clients and maybe smart start inc because it will all reflect on your company

Professional AND Caring

Rebecca was very courtious and patient with helping me complete my bussiness. Though this was not a pleasent subject for me she made it very simple and placed me completely at ease in answering her questions in order to help ME. If all of Smart Start employees are like Rebecca Brito, they will succeed a long time.
