I ordered a robot floor cleaner from this company 5 weeks ago. I was given the tracking number, but the information on the tracking is vague. The item has not arrived. I have emailed them, (verified email address from their website), with my order number, and I have received zero response, zero help, zero item.
The customer service is non existent.

Public shaming is all I have left to communicate with them.

Do not buy from this company.

Buy elsewhere and save yourself the torment.

Cameras haven’t been working for a month due to the “Wrong DID” (C995IP) issue, and there’s still been no communication to customers. The link I found here doesn’t work anymore.

Appalling customer service: steer well clear

During the recent cold snap in the UK I ordered a panel heater from Smartwares Group on the B&Q platform. It was scheduled for rapid delivery - which was one of the main reasons I chose that product/seller.

The package was collected by DHL on the 6th of January. On the 7th of January the tracking notification informed me that the package was delayed and that I should contact the sender. This normally means that the courier requires more information from the sender before the package can be delivered.

I have exchanged numerous messages with the Smartwares customer service team. They seem to believe that having handed the package to DHL, they have no further responsibility to ensure its safe delivery. They have refused to contact DHL, and advised me just to wait and that it would probably turn up eventually.

When I requested a refund, as I had not received the heater and would like to order one from a company that would actually deliver, they refused, but said that I could return the heater when it arrived and they would process a refund then. But how can I return a product that has not been delivered?

AVOID

AVOID. beware they are a merchant selling on B&Q marketplace. I ordered a fan for next day delivery on the 7 January. DHL says the package is delayed and will not speak to me about it, instead saying speak to the merchant which is Smart Wares. Smart Wares could not care less

Terrible customer service!

Terrible customer service!

I have 2 plug in doorbells which have worked independently of each other perfectly until my neighbour's son purchased one for his elderly mother. Now every time someone rings her doorbell it chimes in my house. This is frequently as she has carers visiting every day.

I was told by Customer Service that one of us had to purchase a new door bell to resolve the problem. When I requested that I was sent a replacement (as the fault is with the product) I was told that they can't ship to the UK at the moment. I think asked for a voucher so that I could purchase a replacement. The answer was no, I had to purchase a new doorbell. This is a technical problem not a warranty issue.

There was absolutely no compassion for my 88 year old neighbour or acknowledgement of the fault.

Do not buy from this company as they are not interested in any issues you may have post sale. Shocking!

I have a smoke alarm (batch T33742)…

I have a smoke alarm (batch T33742) After approx 2 weeks installed it just randomly starts going off... even relegated to the garage it would randomly alarm half way through the night... its loud I will give it that. However as a smoke alarm it is clearly shit.
Worse, you can go to their website and there is NO customer contact information - they dont want to deal with customers, this is the sign of a shit company importing chinese crap that they dont actually deal with customers. Take my advice, do not buy anything from them.

OK, post reply. First if there is a form on the page to contact you then I cant see it, it must be well hidden amongst all the rubbish.
Second, How the HELL does the 'orientation' of the product do anything to create a situation where it goes off randomly? It was actually mounted on a wall - there being no flat ceiling in the bedroom concerned, it was mounted high up using the supplied bracket. After its random going off it was moved to a flat surface in the garage where it continued to go off randomly until I broke the thing apart and wrenched the battery out because it was yelling at 3am in a dry, non smokey garage.

Damaged? Well it is now, but frankly there are what a circuit board mounted in a reasonable flat plastic box, a battery, a detector , 1 capacitor 2 leds, 1 resistor and a small button... The detector element labelled qc21 the unit labelled qualified 01... well it is a piece of cheap chinese crap simple as that.

Contacted Smartwares Sept 2024

Contacted Smartwares Sept 2024, to advise my external house security camera only works when I am on the premises, not working when abroad as it used to. I have written many mil to customer services /help desk but just ignored, then after 2.5 months I was asked to fill a form and provide proof of purchase, I informed them it was purchased 5 years ago so no proof of purchase, please advise.

No response, do not use this company, it is not professional, it is managed by ametures.

Spare Part

Needed a spare part which was missing when purchased from B&Q. Contacted smartwares through the website and had a reply the next day and the part arrived the week after. Good service IMO.

If trouble with their products none help.

I would not recomment buying anything of their products. I bough a streetlamp though amazon, where they were the dealer behind the sale. The streetlamp have errors / fault - and eventhough I have been in contact with the eg customerservice and more. First then seem nice - but then it was clearly after a couple days with contact they keep asking for stuff they already got of information, photos etc. I did all they ask for but keep asking for details I already given them. So I fast got the feeling - that it looks liek they want to help, But behind that polite service online - there nothing really. they donot want to help with founding a way to solutions by mails & own online system. They just trying to make people give up, and have it looks like their product is better then they are. Donot buy products like my streetlamp on 130 cm high - either at the firm it self online or at others online like amazon that sell their products. There really none help, if there problems with the products.So I see it like they donot stand behind their own products since not want to really help etc.

No support given for a product sold…

No support given for a product sold with a 2 year warranty that failed after 11 months. I was referred back to the retailer Utek who stopped answering emails. Smartwares customer support also do not now respond to emails. The product line concerned (Princess) is on the Smartwares web site - link from the dot com web site however I would think twice before buying any product this company wholesales or retails.

Edit - I now see Utek the retailer have gone into recievership and closed. Still it is poor practice that Smartwares do not support the products they wholesale.

Bad quality electronics

Bad quality electronics. 2 years of use and now it's not working anymore. Waste of money and impossible to repair (they don't use standard screws to allow the user to open it, so impossible to fix it by myself)

I ordered replacement parts for my juicer and they’ve sent me a power cable instead. They are not answering phones or replying to emails in order to get a refund.
